This is a Japanese inspired French bakery around a 10-15 minute walk from the Louvre. We were so excited to have so many Japanese options in Paris! The cafe also offers reasonably priced ready to go meals, such as katsu curry, bento boxes, and sandwiches. One of their popular items is the Matcha Melon Pain, which is a matcha bun with cream inside. It was so soft and delicious! Wish I ordered more pastries! The matcha latte is also very good. Small cafe with limited bar seating, best suited for takeout. Note that there is Aki cafe directly across the street, which is a sit down restaurant.

I came to Aki's to buy breakfast when I was visiting Paris and really enjoyed their Japanese and fusion baked goods, especially the latter. I found their fusion items to be really unique like the kinako twisted donut, black sesame cookie, black sesame flan and mochi beignets. You could really taste the mochi filling in the beignets (they were honestly more like croquettes than actual beignets) and they were generously stuffed with different filling flavors like matcha and red bean. As someone who likes black sesame, I liked that they had so many black sesame options among their many pastries. Unfortunately, the way you order pastries is that an employee at the counter will pull the pastries you want from the counter display and works your way down like an assembly line. It was very crowded when I went and since I don't live in Paris to come to this bakery often, I wanted to take my time reading through all the options (especially since I don't know how to read French and needed to ask for translating a lot) but I felt the employee was rushing me to pick which pastries I wanted to buy. Also, the way they pack the pastries is they just stuff them into paper bags and throw them into a plastic bag that they charge you extra for. I felt like whichever pastry was at the bottom of my bag was getting crushed by the weight of the ones on top. Wish they would pack in a box so that they're all not crushing each other.

Service is very nice. Plenty of seating. Great for breakfast and munch items. They also have rice triangles (with savory fillings like tuna, salmon, etc.). I would recommend this place.

We tried an assortment of pastries at Aki Boulanger. All were delicious. The matcha latte was memorable. It's the perfect amount of sugar and viscosity. Truly one of the best I've ever had. I docked one star because their available pastry selection was inconsistent (we visited multiple times around the same time throughout our trip) and the espresso was very bitter.

I'm so glad I researched for boulangeries like this around Louvre before I came here. The selection is immense, French-inspired Japanese boulangerie where you can get matcha beignets, melon pains. I got matcha croissant with almond filling, it was sooo good. Service was amazing, so kind and friendly. I got a latte which was extremely good too. I wish I had gone back to this place and tried their other stuff.

A unique and yummy boulangerie! This is a Japanese French boulangerie which offers a bunch of ready-made food and other pastries. We got the chicken katsu as well as a red bean beignet. The chicken was delicious - sauce was perfect, and the chicken was juicy. I also loved the beignet! The red bean filling was spot on and the dough was nice and soft without being overly sweet - best Asian dessert complement :) This was such an unexpected find but so great! They have limited seating inside and outside, but we managed to get a table outside and took advantage of the sunny day.

This was delicious. Name is burger melon pain choco fraise. Soft texture of bread and first bite was strawberry on bread then cream middle

Small shop with a few treats to pick from. Pricey for the pink burger in photo but it was worth it. Delicious.

If I had enough money (and patience), I would catch a train to Paris every day just for this bakery. I had researched this company for a project I did for my class a while back, and had been determined to try it. However, my first attempt was unsuccessful, because I hadn't done my research and didn't know they were closed on Sundays. I went back a second time and got TWO cakes as a sort of revenge (for myself) and I wish I could have gotten more. The prices are average for a high-quality bakery in Paris, and just like most places, they up-charge if you want to eat in. I got the Yuzu Mille Crepe (4,80 take out or 5,30 eat in) and the Mont Blanc (5,50 take out or 6 eat in) . I am a die-hard fan of Mont Blancs, and I. was. absolutely. blown. a. WAYYY. The cream was the perfect softness, the inside was filled with a slightly sweetened whipped cream, and the center contained a generous clump of chestnut cream. The bottom, unlike traditional mont blancs, was a sponge cake. The Yuzu Mille Crepe was phenomenal as well. The crepe itself was soft, thin, supple, and the perfect thickness to soak up just a little bit of the yuzu cream hidden between each layer. The bottom layer was a yuzu sponge cake with little bits of yuzu inside, which gave it an extra oomph. Both cakes were superb, and I really doubt I will find anything else during my time in France as good as these cakes. I can't wait to come back and try more!! & a lil irrelevant side note, I love that most of the workers here are Japanese! It really made me feel like I was back home - they were all so sweet and answered any question I had.

Stopped by for a quick breakfast. I got several pastries and two lattes for myself and a friend. I made the mistake of ordering to-go and our other friend wanted to sit down and eat so she ordered her items for here. They were extremely strict about this so we ended up having to tell them that we would not eat or drink our items. We ended up just snacking on the "for here" items quickly and then stepped out to eat the pastries outside. This is understandable because of the tax difference between eating in and taking the items to go. Just an FYI. Food and drinks were a-okay. You bus the tables yourself.

Came here for breakfast and we tried assorted Onigiris, matcha crème brûlée, black sesame cornet, sakura mochi pain, and a matcha latte. They were all really tasty although more filling and less rice on the Onigiri would have been great. The matcha crème brûlée was excellent. I'll definitely come back to try a few more pastries like the yuzu eclair or the matcha cheesecake before the end of my trip.

Right in the heart of Japantown/Little Tokyo, Aki Boulanger often has a line outside the door. You can choose to eat in or eat out, they have a window counter space as well as tables outside. Regrettably I didn't get a chance to try the packaged meals, even though everything looked amazing. Pastries on the other hand did all taste great, with especially strong authentic matcha flavors. Loved the matcha latte! My friend got addicted to the curry beignets, which are definitely a specialty. It's worth getting one and checking it out - an interesting combination of sweet and savory. Other pastries are on the savory side as well, or at least not extremely sweet. Definitely popular with tourists and locals.

I heart Aki! An amazing selection of French, Japanese, and Frenchanese pastries. They have a variety of bento boxes; the karaage (fried chicken) is super hearty. I have also had their Yuzu Eclair, Matcha Cornet, and Goma Pudding - all of which are tres delicieux ! Next time, I would love to try the Gyouza Sandwich. You can take-out and eat-in as well. My sister and I sat in for a cafe au lait. There's seating in the basement too, which is a little more relaxing than the hustle and bustle upstairs. Can't wait to go back !

    Matcha melon pain

Somehow managed to satiate both my desires of French pastries and matcha. Bought the matcha melon pain and the matcha eclair. Workers were very patient with me, despite my indecision. Delighted by both desserts i bought. My friend also enjoyed her treat. As she lives in France, she will be returning.

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
