    Hot ham

We enjoyed our crispy croissants, fluffy (especially tart jammed) beignets, chouquettes, and ESPECIALLY the hot ham pastry. It's a must. So delicious we went two days in a row.

    Eclaire

Yelp 100 challenge 2020 #22 The best baguette I have ever had in my life. But really I came here to get an eclair. Somehow I left with not only an eclair, but a baguette and quiche too. The spinach quiche was delicious. Definitely rich in flavor - so filling. The eclair was mediocre in my opinion. But the baguette!! I was so surprised at how good it was. I highly recommend if you're in the area looking for some yummy sweets or bread.

Raspberry tarts 2/5 stars. The crust is thicker and denser than most tarts which doesn't go well with the fluffy fluffy custard

Little chain of bakeries. Adorable appearance and great staff, but thought all their pastries cannot compare to most bakeries in Paris Macaroons - a packet of 6-8 all tasted the same. the crunch and air pocket are on point, but the cream in the middle could have been better. texture 5/5 but taste/flavor 2/5 Raspberry fruit tarts - the crust is super dense and the custard is SO fluffy it's lighter than air. The crust and custard are both good independently, but the two do NOT go well together

Gosselin is the perfect place to go whether you're craving for baguettes or something sweeter (like the hand-sized macaroons). We stopped by this place while waiting to check out the Louvre and were glad that we avoided the tourist traps around the amazing museum. The wife tried a fancy raspberry macaroon and I got a hand-sized baguette. The prices were reasonable and the line was long on a rainy Monday morning, so you know this place is legit.

Their traditional baguette (baguette tradition, si vous plait) is at the absolute pinnacle of perfection. I know, I know, I have said similar things about Julien, but I have to admit about Phillipe Gosselin - just wow. With butter - crunchy, soft, flavorful...sigh... Toast it for a little more bite. I'm not changing my feeling about Julien, it was my first love, but still, Gosselin bread is incredible. These two bakeries (Gosselin and Julien) are located only about 2 blocks apart so you're never far from bread, quiche, desert, sandwich goodness - they both have it all! Julien is open on Saturday and Gossalin is open on Sunday - perfect symmetry. Baguette for the day - less than a Euro. If someone had once told me I would get all emotional over a loaf of bread, well.....

We happened to walk by Gosselin and saw the crazy line. We knew it had to be special! We ordered a ham and cheese sandwich along with a tandoori chicken sandwich. Both were delicious and fresh. We should have ordered a pastry too.

Great place to have a delicious pastry. Would definitely recommend. Sometimes in the morning you will see long line but do not be fooled it will go fast very fast. Most of the people in line are locals they know what they gonna get so it goes fast. Try whatever you desire do not think you would miss ;)

Is it just me or are desserts in France just the right amount of sweetness? This small cafe has a number of delicious pastries. Some you can buy by the slice, others you'll need to buy the entire cake. Two of the pastries we got here were very good, with fluffy buttery crusts. Unfortunately I don't know any French so I just pointed, don't know the name of the desserts. We got it to go, as there are no seats. Although the staff wasn't very fluent in English, they were very friendly and helpful. Would come back if I visit Paris again!

Our walk from the Louvre to Hotel de Ville on rue St Honoré contained a never ending supply of bakeries and pastry shops. Gosselin was our last stop, and probably the most delightful. As you can see in the photos, the variety here is just doesn't stop. A lot of the items are fruit based, which is great once you see how many ways a raspberry can be implemented in a creation. I wanted to try everything, but my wallet and stomach had a limit. My favorite was the mille feuille with pistache & pramboise (pistachio & raspberry Napoleon). The mix of the two flavors is phenomenal and gives the entire pastry a silky smooth and not too sweet texture. It is just heaven biting through it. I really can't put into words what it tastes like, but hopefully the photo will give you some idea of just how fabulous it was.

    on the corner!

Amazing spot. Fresh everything, savoury and sweet. The almond and orange cake is a must. Their croissants are like sublime.

Delicious pain au chocolat. My wife got a mille feuilles, which had a delicious custard inside. Close to the Louvre.

The store is gorgeous and will immediately catch your eye, I knew I had to come see what was going on in here. I crossed over and walked in to find the most delightful le merveilleux. I ordered 3 minis which I trekked all over town for the day and later enjoyed for in the evening. They were delish! My advice would be don't trek all over town with them, enjoy them or store them to enjoy later. They were great but they are fairly delicate. These treats are super light and the perfect little treats. The mini size is perfect to enjoy several flavors. I'm a Los Angeles native and while many may say they haven't seen or heard of these le merveilleux before, we have a little French bakery at home called Le Mervetty that I've ordered cakes from and they make these. They are truly special, I've always felt that. If you're looking for a lovely treat, definitely stop in. Service was quick and friendly!

I got the sampler of 6 merengues in a cute box but I only got to try 3 as I shared the rest with our house host. My fave was the Magnifique - meringue coated in pralines. So light and airy as with the rest. The Merveilleux - chocolate was a bit too sweet for my taste what with the layers n layers of chocolate. I am not a fan of white chocolate so I did not like the Incroyable - white chocolate with speculoos. The shop have different branches in Paris as well as the train stations but we went to the one by the Moulin Rouge. It is right smack in the center of the street you wouldn't miss it with its very opulent chandelier hanging by the window. They make and bake their pastries on site as with each and every patisserie in Paris it seems. So everything is freshly baked!

A Slice of Heaven at Notre Pâtisserie, Paris!…read more My visit to Notre Pâtisserie was nothing short of magical-this charming Parisian gem exceeded all my expectations with its flawless pastries and warm, inviting ambiance. The Tarte au citron meringuée was an absolute revelation: the crisp, buttery crust cradled a velvety lemon filling that struck the perfect balance between tangy and sweet, finished with a delicate torched meringue topping. Pure sunshine on a plate! Their legendary Opera Cake is a masterclass in precision-layers of almond sponge, coffee buttercream, and dark chocolate ganache harmonize into an elegant, rich symphony of flavors. Each bite was sheer perfection. I fell in love with their Orange Brioche Buns, too-pillowy soft dough swirled with fragrant orange zest and a hint of caramelized sweetness. Paired with coffee, it was morning bliss. And of course, their Croissant? The gold standard. Shatteringly crisp exterior giving way to airy, honeycombed layers with that unmistakable French butter aroma. Worth waking up early for!
