We came across this cute cafe while out for Anaheim Feeds 80th anniversary. They had fresh cold water for my dogs since it was so hot out and a very welcoming atmosphere. Ordered iced hazelnut lattes and they were delicious and also got to sample one of the sandwiches. My dogs had a blast and were so thankful for the warm welcome in a cool place. They gave our dogs a goodie bag. We will definitely be coming back!

Stopped by for lunch recently and Jesse was the cashier was very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared some history and let us know there was another location in Anaheim. We ordered our lunch with guidance from Jesse and took a seat. He let us know that the empanadas are made fresh in the morning and reheated when ordered. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo no meat. Jessie also let us know that the pasta noodles are handmade and fresh. The quality was nice and the pasta dish was flavorful. At first glance, I felt the food amount would not be enough. Nonetheless, I was able to share it and filled my belly up anyways. The egg noodles tasted fresh and had a nice texture. Overall the quality was great and the taste wonderful, although it might have been too rich for my sensitive stomach. The dish may have been made with onions and garlic which deemed too powerful for my sensitivities. My friend enjoyed his curry empanada and half of my pasta dish. The cookies looked tasty and we were given a lovely mini cake taster. Overall, it was a nice lunch in a clean, and cool dining environment. There is one table outside if you prefer fresh air to air conditioning.

Really great food, they are still working on decor and coffee program, opening soon for tapas concept dinner reservations only, flavors are great good selection on house made pastries

    VNL vanilla iced latte

Friendly and quick service from the barista. Ordered the VNL, a classic vanilla iced latte. Was told the vanilla syrup was made in house, and you can taste the difference! Looking forward to trying the other specialty drinks in the future!

I've seen many places come and go on Center Street for decades, but I always hope to find that new gem that will stick around.

After eating at several Argentinian restaurants recently, I've been on a chimichurri kick. I have…read moretried chimichurri sauces from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's but they aren't really very authentic. A friend recommended seeing what El Gaucho might have, so I visited the next day. The market is easy to spot with a big street sign out front. There are only two parking spots in front, one is a handicapped space. There's plenty of parking around the back though. When you walk in, you will see the main market with lots of items and brands I've never seen before. Slightly to the right is their deli counter with lots of meats, cheeses, and other miscellaneous items. To the right of the entrance is a dining area, and another counter where you can order sandwiches, empanadas, pizza, French fries, and drinks. I was laser focused on getting the chimichurri and leaving since I was short on time. It is in plastic bottles in plain view on on top of the deli counter. I purchased the regular variety, but they also have a spicy version. I could already tell this was going to be way better than the other two sauces I tried. I've had it on a steak, and on my breakfast scrambled eggs, and it's in a whole different league from the grocery versions I tried. It looks just like a restaurant chimichurri, oil based with lots of herbs and spices. I just had a nice filet mignon with chimichurri at a good Argentinan restaurant last week, and this chimichurri is about 90% as good. I moved it from the plastic bottle it comes in to a glass jar which will hopefully help preserve it longer, and store it in the refrigerator. I now have no reason to look elsewhere for chimichurri. My friend visits here periodically and says the sandwiches are excellent. I'll have to return again to try one, get more chimichurri, and explore the market and deli to see what other goodies they have.

I have brought these to events and they are always a hit. They do have more than just empanadas. The pastries are quite good, as is the coffee options, sandwiches, etc. Consistency has been king here!! It's pretty much takeout with a few seats outside, but enjoyable if you can grab one on a nice day.

This place was a nice little, hole-in-the-wall cafe for a quick bite. Seating is limited. There is…read morea small bar area inside, but nobody was sitting inside, because the line to order was kind of taking up that area. There are also three tables outside that seat four, four, and two for a maximum of ten. The place fills up fast, but empties just as quick. And their baked goods go quick, so grab them while you can! I ordered the Cuban Empanada as an appetizer. The savory rice and bean filling was a perfect compliment to the sweet ripe plantain filling and hint of sweetness in the dough. They are baked and the dough is thick and chewy, so if you're not a fan of that type of Empanada, be warned... I ordered the Cuban Sandwich as the main course. It was DELICIOUS and I would recommend it to everyone! If you're a purist, like a few of my friends and family though, be warned. Their take on the Cuban is made with Ciabatta not Cuban Bread, Mozzarella not Swiss, and is toasted not pressed... I ordered a Vanilla & Dulce De Leche Cookie for Dessert. It was AMAZING! Soft chewy on the inside, a little crunch on the outside. The taste of a sugar cookie with little sugar bombs of Dulce De Leche throughout. Perfect. And I washed it all down with a Tres Leches Latte (Hot). It was DIVINE! Very much on the sweet side, which I absolutely enjoyed to the last drop. But, if you do not like it too sweet, you can ask them to lower the sweetness level. Also, they will give you an option of dairy milk (2%), almond milk, or oat milk when you order. Overall it was an excellent experience, for me. I will recommend it to all my friends, and will definitely be back!
