As a long time Redmond resident, I am always looking for someplace new, with great staff, food and ambiance. When Archer opened years ago, we became regular customers, and Archer became among our top three favorite hangouts. We have had birthday parties, class reunions and many friends join us there, to their great enjoyment. Honestly, it was like going to a friend's home; it was that comfortable seeing all of the people we enjoyed that worked there. They were hard working, kind, professional and friendly. Recently, there have been significant and disappointing staff changes. We walked in a few weeks back to find that some of the staff that helped us for years, were not there. We figured there were schedule changes and that we would come back another day. A week later, we entered and again saw the bartender was not there. I approached the bar staff and asked where these individuals were. We were told they were no longer employed at Archer. We were beyond disappointed. We left. We contacted the former employees and were told more disappointing news that they either were terminated or resigned. The hotel relies heavily upon travelers to promote their location. The bar/restaurant relies upon them too, but more importantly relies upon the locals to promote the business. We have done that in the past at Archer, but will no longer recommend this location and will seek somewhere different to be our new local. read more

Had breakfast while staying at the hotel. They offer a daily $25 dining credit. Had an omelet with my choice of 3 ingredients and came with a side of fried potatoes. Made in about 10 minutes. Friendly server. No salt/pepper on the tables. read more

We stayed at the Archer for an extended time during a home remodel, and ate at the AKB Restaurant/Bar daily. The decor is trendy and fascinating, offering seating for larger groups, or use the cozy seating near the fireplace for your evening cocktail. We enjoyed the great breakfast menu and good coffee, and felt very welcomed by Sharon, who we saw nearly every day during our stay. Weather did not permit using the patio seating, but this area looked attractive. read more

I'll mark this as a hidden gem. I actually don't really want to tell you about it, because I want to save it as a hideout for my friends and me ... but it's only fair to give Archer's credit for their tasty wares and fares. A small restaurant attached to a boutique hotel, this isn't what you might expect from "hotel dining". They don't offer a happy hour but we went during the happy hour to dinner time and had no problem getting a table for 7. Archer's Kitchen offers indoor and outdoor seating with powerful heaters for the patio. For these wonderful PNW summers, they're restaurant walls open completely onto the patio allowing fresh air into the restaurant and lobby area of the hotel. Their food menu is smaller than a stand-alone restaurant, but their bar menu would rival local Eastside hot spots. If you're in town for short stay or a local looking for something new, I'd recommend trying Archer's Kitchen. read more

I used to love coming to the Archer Hotel bar area when Amy was working. She is knowledgable, hard working and always steered me towards fabulous new cocktails and menu items. She has keen sense of customer service and always had a smile on her face. Did she move on? Can you let me know where? The energy isn't the same and feels very "good ole boy club". When we arrived, there were just two waiters behind the bar counter, and no staff in the dining area, nor the front desk, so we were confused if we should be seated by our own. We were sitting for like two minutes and were not attended despite the waiters at the bar saw us, so we were not sure if we should ask for menu or inform a waiter, or keep waiting. I ended up having to stop a waiter to get the menu. Food was served pretty fast, but they didn't bring my wine I ordered. When I was finally able to stop the waitress and told her this, she felt confused and asked me what I ordered, rather than checking my order, just like she felt my request was a hassle. We didn't feel welcomed by the waitress. This bar is otherwise good and I'd be willing to stay at the Archer Hotel again if the service were better. But at the current status I can't recommend the hotel. read more

Decided to check the hotel bar out after dinner at a nearby restaurant. Huge mistake. Saturday night but it was not busy at all - barely anyone in the place. Despite that, it took nearly 45 minutes to get our drinks. Drinks were OK once they finally showed up. Needless to say we did not order a second round and do not plan to come back. read more

First, this place knows service. Folks that work here want to serve you. We stayed at the hotel and had dinner in Kirkland. On our way back we got cakes and pastries from the bakery. And then came and sat here. We ordered tea and the moment we did that, servers didn't care if we ordered food there or not. They brought us water, cutlery etc. everything that we needed. And the place is extremely nicely decorated. Just an awesome experience. read more

Great space with high ceiling texturized wall coverings and gorgeous ceiling work. Bfast sandwich was amazing, with the sweet and juicy tomato offsetting the cheesy eggs. We came here on a weeknight, and was sadly disappointed by the atmosphere and the food. The service was also very brusque, as if the server couldn't wait to get you out of there. The large garage doors in the space were opened from the bottom, leading the whole space to feel drafty and the lights were barely on (we initially thought they would be closed when walking up). Overall atmosphere and service were what contributed to most of three stars. We tried to order the special that night, which was some kind of beef entree, since there were very few "dinner entree" type food (mostly appetizers and sandwiches). They ended up being out of the beef entree, and so I ended up ordering wings off of the appetizer menu. The wings came with only 1 flat piece and the rest were oversized and tough drumsticks, so felt like there were quality control issues. The NY strip steak on my husband's grain bowl was actually decent, if only they would serve it by itself. Overall, really thought the pictures looked lovely, but the food/atmosphere did not live up. If you're staying at the hotel though, probably worthwhile to stop by for a drink in the lobby. read more

Pretty solid selection of food for a decent price. Was a guest here, unsure if anyone can come in. Ordered the Brussel sprouts, which comes with Parmesan and bacon, the seared ahi, and the chicken sausage tuna. If I had to pick only one, I would go for the seared ahi. What a hidden gem! I love a good girls night out and this is just the place. (Perhaps I should not be sharing this). The warm ambiance with the fire place and chairs/couches are a very inviting. It does not have a loud club "vibe", yet you are still feeling the GNO energy. Amy, our bartender/waitress, has been amazing on multiple occasions. Attentive, kind, engaging, always anticipating our next need. She's a true gem! This place is lucky to have her. A++ in customer service! Truly, not sure I've had a better bartender/server! Sign says seat yourself, but then it took 8 minutes for someone to acknowledge that I had been seated. It then took another 30 mins to not get my food, had to tell the waitress to just cancel my order. Horrible service all around. read more

Nice space, very cool lounge and an old school club blend. Staff are superb, and a great mix of local drinks and wines to give plenty of NW options. Bar menu is worth a look - good blend of options to fit most tastes. I went Ahi Bites. Better than average hotel food. My breakfast bowl of scramble eggs, beans, salsa, potatoes, etc. was well put together but luke-warm/cold. Wife's açaí bowl looked fine. One server working the whole place meant she was overworked and could barely keep up - even with half of the patrons just opting for the breakfast bar. Nice atmosphere. Well-designed and good natural light on a sunny spring day in the PNW. And obviously convenient if you're staying at The Archer. That's about it. read more

I almost don't want to say how lovely Archer's restaurant is because I don't want it to get too crowded. ;) But I've got to give credit where it's due! :) We came for GNO. Our server, Sara, was fantastically patient, mixed up some great drinks, and helped us decide on which fare to try. The brie fondue, as she recommended, was stuff that dreams are made of. Warm pretzel bread and fresh fruit for dipping. We also tried the Brussel sprouts (cooked to perfection) and flavorful truffle fries. We tried, but didn't love, the ice cream sandwich; the cookies were too hard so it was difficult to eat. (Maybe a softer baked cookie next time?) But that's the only negative so all in all, a superb evening. The ambiance was nice as it wasn't loud. We could have a normal conversation without yelling across the table to one another. The room is spacious yet still warm (thank you!!! I get so tired of freezing cold restaurants), with attractive decor that is modern without being presumptuous or cold. This review is for Archer Hotel Kitchen & Bar, not the hotel itself. I keep coming back to the stunningly beautiful, spacious, elegant, modern restaurant and bar with its incredibly friendly and professional bartenders and waiters. It's such a classy place to pop in for a quick drink on our way to or from dinner nearby. The patio goes on forever, with comfy couches, Adirondack chairs by the fire, huge radiant heaters above, and giant shuffleboard/cornhole games you can play. It's a nice elegant, calm vibe and I appreciate that music isn't blaring and the two or three TVs are on silent and fairly unobtrusive. The menu is QUITE limited at this time (thus my 4 star review that would otherwise be a gushing 5 stars). There are a few bar bites to choose from, one burger, a couple vegetarian options (the falafel is surprisingly good) a flat bread or two, and several Garden bowls, which I find sort of weird. I'm not sure what this place is trying to be. It will be hard to become a "regular" without getting tired of the food, so I'm more likely to pop in for a drink and then go to another restaurant nearby at Redmond Town Center. The food is really good, priced fairly and a nice portion for a snack or meal (not so little you leave hungry and not so much you have to take a box home!) With such a huge seating area in the restaurant, we find it weird they don't have more options on the menu for dinner. Perhaps that will change as the hotel adjusts to its newness. We also went to breakfast on a Saturday - $17 for non-hotel guests. Though the staff were quite friendly, they're clearly still ramping up (we weren't offered water or napkins/cutlery, and no bartender is on duty, a missed opportunity to sell us expensive Bloody Marys or champagne drinks). The selection was quite limited for $17, I felt. Some scrambled eggs, nicely cooked breakfast potatoes, bacon (which they say they don't always have), pastries. I'd rather pay $35 or $50 for a brunch with a bigger selection. It was worth it for the gorgeous sunny patio we breakfasted on though! If this place offered a proper fancy brunch they'd really have no competition in the area I feel. We were pressed for time but other breakfast places nearby had too long of a wait and we saw they had a breakfast buffet and we knew we could get in and out quicker. Most of the food was bland or not that tasty. Not very busy either. The Maple Bacon they had was not tasty and stuck together. They had small diced potatoes/sweet potatoes-knife cuts were uneven and not very tasty. Also scrambled eggs with cheese-OK but not spectacular. Very fruits and cereals good. There was a vegetable platter with hummus. The many chilled juices and milk were good and they had a few more items. Nice interior and hotel. They made pancakes and waffles to order. We visited here this morning. It is inside the Archer hotel and has an extremely gorgeous set up. It was around 10am, peak brunch hours, when we arrived. The sign said to seat ourselves so we sat at the bar for around ten minutes without seeing a single bartender or server. We eventually left and went somewhere else. read more

I had a few drinks at the bar which were pretty good. I'm not sure how I feel about the bartender though. I noticed that she was pushing guests to try her drinks and to post five star reviews on yelp. I also noticed she was giving drinks away to quite a few customers which I feel lacks integrity. other than that, the food there is visually appealing and tastes great and came in a timely manner. read more

we visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday. we were looking for a restaurant that we could bring our dog ( a medium size doodle). This was a huge hit. lovely newer boutique hotel by Redmond town Center. The breakfast was very good. Too $$$$ NO HAPPY HOUR! They state the prices are low "like" happy hour. Ugh I think $12.00 for a Moscow Mule is ridiculous for a "no" happy hour but price is happy hour like! NOT. Won't be back unless they implement a real happy hour with drink lower than $8.00 like Tasty Hops up the road at Bridle Trails for a Moscow Mule. Service wasn't great either. Had to ask for clearing of items for a new friend who joined late and one who left early. We will stick with Matador, Matt's and Tasty Hops for happy hours in Redmond. read more
