My daughter and adult granddaughter had a quick dinner here. It was early, so we were the only people there. One other family and one person came in this small place while we were there. My GD had the beef ramen and enjoyed it. It was full of lots of beef. My daughter had the chicken pho, which had lots of big pieces of chicken and tasted like any chicken soup. I had the plain pho and added the raw bean sprouts and onion strings. It was delicious. My daughter and I had lots of leftovers to take home for dinner the next night. I don't suggest that, as the rice noodles got gummy. Our only objection was the parking lot was not just very small, but I had to do a 5 point turn to get out of my parking space. No photos were taken. read more

Stopped by AJ on the way to a family trip and was so glad I did! I ordered the #3 pho and my wife ordered the beef ramen. Both tasted very fresh and delicious. The service was amazing as well, the sweet owner was really attentive and accommodated my pregnant wife as needed. She also closed the door for us when it got a little chilly. it was pouring rain and I was in the mood for some noodles and came here. super small spot! when I went a few people were there eating and it seemed like a lot of people were regulars. The ramen was like no ramen I've had before, stood out a lot. The broth was delicious. Would come back! Price & size was 10/10 read more

My lovely wife and amazing daughter joined me for a pleasant and tasteful lunch at AJ Noodles. I had the rare steak and brisket pho while the ladies had the chicken pho. Service was amazing !! My grandson had the shrimp Pho and it was delicious you can taste the tradition in this broth . Husband and I had spicy ramen myself choosing pork and the hubby chose beef. WOW it was so amazing . We went with medium spice although I do feel I could have went up a level the spice and ramen broth was amazing . Ive been wanting to give an updated review, so here we are (,: The chicken pho is amazing. It's by far my favorite I think I've ever had. It's perfect when I've had food poisoning and needed to eat something, or when I'd catch a cold, or even if I'm just craving it! Whenever anyone asks me about a pho or ramen suggestion, AJ Noodles is always my response. The pho is amazing. The ramen is fantastic. The flavor and quality is everything I could ever ask for! Consistently great pho, ramen, and dumplings here, served by a very nice staff. I haven't had other dishes here but I assume they must also taste good. Their spicy ramen is a great go-to. Nothing out of this world, just good meat, broth, and noodles. Great spot for ramen without having to drive to Pasadena or silver lake. read more

Pho has become an obsession of mine over the last couple years. I have tried it all over the LA area and a bit in neighboring counties too. AJ noodle has a varied menu with Vietnamese , Korean and Japanese items. I usually order beef pho and pork egg rolls. The pho here is quite good. Today, we had chijen fried rice, kimuchi dumplings, spring rolls, and spicy pork ramen. Everything was just ok. Frued ruce was dry and chiken was dry and stiff.... It could be a day old or cooked way too much? Ramen needs a lot more flavor in the broth. Parking: There is a small parking inbthe strip nall where they are located, it didn't seem busy overall. There were a lot of spaces on Monday 5pm. I love to support my local businesses. They need to improve some food fir me to go back again!! read more

There are no words to describe how perfectly and deliciously made the Pho is here. It's my go to spot for Pho. Nice quiet place that's family owned near by the Descanso Gardens. We were at Descanso Gardens when we got hungry and yelped for nearby places to eat. I saw lots of good reviews on this place and we've decided to give it a try. We came 20 mins after they've opened and we were the only ones there on a weekday which was nice to be away from the crowd and have our meal in a peaceful environment. Nice service and the food was nice and comforting. They serviced us sliced onions on the side which was a nice touch to our soups and it bursted with flavor right after. My boyfriend said he would love to come here again for the peacefulness. read more

This is our go to place for local Pho! We always order the pho with rare steak and a plate of the crispy egg rolls. The quality is on point every single time. OH MY!!!!!!!! Went here for a totally unexpected delicious Lunch. Everything here is handmade and sooo damn good. We love PHO and eat a lot of it!!!! Hands down this is the best little restaurant for PHO I have ever eaten at!!!!! We got 3 different kinds (meatball/rare steak with veggies/rare steak and brisket) handmade steamed dumplings, fried dumplings, also a pork ramen soup everything was just soo fresh and beautiful!!! Also this little place is super cute and super clean you can tell the owners love their restaurant and making their gorgeous food. I'm a fan of small businesses, and so Def wanted to come in a support this little place. I tried the no. 2 pho and the soup was pretty good, and there was a nice amount of noodles. There was some pieces of rare brisket, but it was kind of lacking in tendon and tripe. My husband got the no. 1 pho and he seemed to find it satisfactory. He wasn't in love w the meatballs in it, but everything else was fine. The pho satisfied the pho craving but it wasn't the best pho I've ever had. (Just being honest) however, if I ever have the pho craving again, I'd revisit the place. It's a clean restaurant, cozy, and has a free parking lot w ample spaces. I would not recommend the summer roll. This is basically a spring roll (not fried) w shrimp and crab meat. It doesn't taste like your conventional spring roll, but that's probably due to the crab.... I'm at a loss for words on how to describe it, but I just wasn't a fan. read more

So I am always weary of places that try and serve two types of cuisine - pho and ramen? But we were kinda craving both so we gave this place a try. This place is located in a shopping mall and we had my friend's dog with us and for some reason this came up as "dog friendly." There was no outdoor seating but there was a dog groomers next door who let us have a leash. We ordered a beef pho and a pork tonkatsu ramen. The pho was pretty good, broth was nice but the ramen was just okay - really salty. Overall a decent place but I'd rather to go to just a pho place or just a ramen place. read more

this place is such a gem. i always get beef pho when trying new vietnamese restaurants. the broth was so flavorful and deep and also steaming hot, which is always a test of the perfect bowl of pho. the noodles had the perfect bite and chew. parking lot is a plus. the service was fast and very polite :) i would go here regularly if only i lived closer. read more

I was looking for a place that served ramen AND pho since my boyfriend and I prefer different soup types. Was glad to find this place in the area since most places either serve one or the other. The food was pretty good, not 5-star still but almost! The ramen was pretty good but as good as some other hot spots. The pho was good too but my boyfriend said it needed a little bit more noodles. I was treated to the pho here when I was sick and wasn't able to get to a favorite spot in San Gabriel, CA. AJ Noodles didn't disappoint. I recently tried their Seafood Pho and it was so delicious. The broth was full of flavor and the seafood was plentiful with a nice variety of shrimp, squid and other fish. I like their egg rolls too as a nice appetizer. Looking forward to having my sister try it. It's great to have an authentic Vietnamese restaurant close by . You won't be disappointed. read more

The lady manning the front counter as well as taking orders and serving was fantastic. Very friendly and checked up on all tables through out the night. For ramen, my bf got the Tonkotsu ($1 extra for spicy), and I got the Mayu. I see why it has such high reviews, both were delicious. The roasted garlic oil was amazing and complimented the pork broth. The seasoned soft-boiled egg was our favorite part, not just lightly seasons either. It was sweet and savory with each bite, and the creaminess from the jammy yolk was fantastic. The charred cha siu slices had a slight sweetness too, and the fat through the slices gave it this wonderful melt in your mouth, mouth feel.
