So delicious! Took my dogs for a groom and stumbled upon this delicious place. Please try it! Their dumplings are made from scratch and the noodles are delicious Will be coming back

It's okay, nothing great nothing bad. A bit expensive for basic ramen in my opinion and the egg roll portion size is small but tasty. The Thai tea tasted a bit too syrupy. It's not an authentic tasting drink. Food was served fast and soup was served hot. Small parking lot in the small plaza.

I've been going here for many years and it's always the same amazing service and delicious comfort food! It's relaxing and quiet inside. I always recommend this restaurant.

Parking is limited, but you should be able to find a spot! The service is very friendly, and the ambiance is modern, with beautiful wood finished furniture and walls. I ordered the Pho with all the meats, except for tripe, and it was SOOO GOOD! I absolutely loved it and would definitely come back for more. It really feels like a hidden gem, especially since there weren't many people there.

Super bland soup. It's also super salty. Service is okay. I've been here 3 times and it's still the same flavor. Disappointed

Love the miso beef ramen! Very comforting when you've had a long day. Tucked away in a mini mall in La Crescenta.

Best noodle spot in La Crescenta. My family loves their food. We get take-out from here regularly. Their soups are the best.

This this place burn down??? The place is empty and the sign looked like it was on fire . Gosh, I loved this place, hope they open up soon, just in time for winter

They're open! The place only looks empty from the outside. I actually ate here few days ago.

Does this place do event catering?

I don't think so

The interior is cool especially if you have the opportunity to sit in one of the booths. They are very private and have curtains that add to the mood. I know it's a franchise, but I've had other ramen franchises just fine, but it might just be the broth and flavor profile for me. I like that this location is much bigger than the others and is a bit nicer as a result and even during the dinner rush there really wasn't a wait and our food came out decently quickly. Service was friendly and fast too. Ambiance is fancier than the other locations with the dark wood and the dimmer fancy lighting. With every visit, I try to get my ramen super spicy since a lot of, not only ramen places, but Japanese restaurants, spicy means not bland (no offense). And this is the same. I got the super spicy and it just tasted like slightly chili flavored ramen. Imagine someone did cook something spicy in the bowl of ramen and then rinsed the bowl quickly twice. I got the tonkotsu ramen with chashu (2 pieces), seasoned egg, green onions, corn and no bean sprout. Pretty oily and a bit salty and again, not a hint of spiciness. Noodles had a nice chew to it at least. Just alright if anything.

Saw the high reviews so had to check it out. Susuru Ramen Bar is located on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and N Kingsley Dr. The lot is small sharing spaces with other restaurants so your best bet is street parking, which can also be tricky especially later in the day. The restaurant is small, with the register counter as the first thing you see walking through the door. There's bar seating against the wall, and 2-3 tables for groups of maybe 4-6 people. The lady manning the front counter as well as taking orders and serving was fantastic. Very friendly and checked up on all tables through out the night. For ramen, my bf got the Tonkotsu ($1 extra for spicy), and I got the Mayu. I see why it has such high reviews, both were delicious. The roasted garlic oil was amazing and complimented the pork broth. The seasoned soft-boiled egg was our favorite part, not just lightly seasons either. It was sweet and savory with each bite, and the creaminess from the jammy yolk was fantastic. The charred cha siu slices had a slight sweetness too, and the fat through the slices gave it this wonderful melt in your mouth, mouth feel. The tonkostu spicy used the same broth just added the chili oil to it and gave it a good bite. The noodles had a nice chew to it. It was just the perfect bowl on a chilly May evening. Definitely worth checking out for a great bowl of ramen.

I've been going here for years and found they have perfect balance of depth of flavor and consistency of it. Amazing food + Attentive service + jazz playing overhead = Great time and chill vibes. Here's what I recommend: Appetizers: Tatsunoya roll ($9.50): Best app in the biz. Seasoned rice, chashu, avocado topped with kewpie and seaweed. Teriyaki chicken wings ($9): Juicy, crispy with a deep sweet-salty soy flavor. Honestly the best chicken wings I've ever had. Asian Tortilla Chips ($5.50): Crispy wonton wrappers with a kimchi-mayo-chashu dip, loved it. Ramen: Jun Tonkotsu ($15.80): The classic. Perfectly balanced as all ramen should be Koku Tonkotsu ($16.80): The my go-to. Garlicky, rich umami and bold fatty flavor.

I ordered the Koku Extra Chashu, which was the chef recommended ramen, and while it was solid, I personally found it a little lacking in flavor compared to some other ramen spots I've been to. That said, the service was amazing. I did pickup during a really busy rush and they took care of me right away. The space itself looked lively, active, and welcoming, which made me want to come back and actually sit down and dine in next time. I'd definitely give it another shot and try a few other dishes because the atmosphere and service alone made a strong impression.
