It's been quite a few years since I last stopped here and remembered it being pretty good. It was not on this visit. I ordered "The Cadillac" breakfast that consisted of 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, sausage, bacon, homefries, and toast. I asked if I could sub in corned beef hash instead of the two meats. I was told I'd have to buy a side of hash. I agreed and told them to hold the bacon and sausage. The eggs, over easy, were quite small snd dwarfed by everything else on the plate. There was little yolk. The home fries tasted as if they'd been on the grill for quite a while. The pancakes were rubbery, as it took effort getting a knife through them. The hash that cost extra, tasted like it came out of a can. On the positive side our server was terrific and I loved and appreciated the "golden oldies" rock 'n roll music. These two points earned them the 2nd star. But unfortunately it was not enough to offset the very disappointing breakfast. read more

So we stopped here after my dad's appointment the other day and had one of the worst meals out. My dad and I both ordered the turkey dinner. Meatloaf, country fried steak, and a BLT were the other orders. I asked for the gravy on the side. Unfortunately I did not have my phone with me but the turkey was dry and the gravy literally looked like grease. The veggies were hot and cold and the potatoes were just really weird. The waitress was a bit rude but I feel like my aunt saying cod has worms while asking if the fish was haddock or cod probably didn't help. Lol When the manager came by it was my mom who spoke up about the turkey dinners. We had only eaten about 25 percent because we were hungry. She did take 25 percent off the bill although I felt it should have been closer to 50. We did like the cute airplane decor and the old timey feel but most likely won't return for quite some time. Pancakes were perfectly cooked and delicious. I got strawberry with whipped cream. I really shouldn't have gotten the syrup too because I didn't really use it and couldn't taste it so it was wasted money. The upcharge for the local syrup is crazy. It's a lot and you get so little. This would feel more worth it if they gave you a little bottle or something. The side of bacon is a decent amount. Where some places give you one or two slices, this place gave me 4. They definitely were not stingy with the whipped cream on my cocoa and it was very tasty too! The service was outstanding. The waitress checked in on me several times, was prompt, and polite. I really love the feel of this place. It's a diner so it doesn't feel too fancy but it's very clean so it doesn't feel like a dive either (which I don't mind much either). It felt very on theme for a vintage diner and I will absolutely be back next time I'm in town. I only took off a star because they're expensive for what you get. The syrup addon is like $2 for a little container you can't even take with you if you don't use it. read more

Best place to go to for a good diner experience. Can get pretty busy in the evenings but they don't offer reservations. Food is always good, kids pancakes are huge so mine end up sharing. They offer adult beverages as well as soda, coffee and the usual. Homemade desserts in the cooler when you walk in adds a nice touch to the experience. read more

Tasty comfort food and great pies! The Airport Diner has always been a great place to frequent. Either for a quick breakfast or for a dinner after coming home from a long trip. I have even come here just to order some coffee and pie after dinner with friends. All of their servers are great and helpful. They have a great selection, low prices, and a fun vibe. read more

We stopped by for a quick dinner with a toddler, but it was anything but quick.... Service was friendly, but slow. Our meals were great, when they arrived - the turkey club was large and had real turkey (not deli meat). The veggie burger was also very good. The kids pancake was silly - an 8" pancake instead of more manageable silver dollar size for kids. The scrambled egg portion was large, but didn't taste good at all. We had to have the bill corrected, but the prices were pretty reasonable read more

Used to go here all the time but when I moved out of town, I kinda forgot about it. Went this morning and wondered why I didn't come back sooner! Its a part of "The Common Man" group so it already has that going for it. Ended up have the Philly Steak and Cheese Omelette and it didn't disappoint! Three eggs with the perfect amount of tender shaved steak,peppers,onions, and mushrooms inside with a totally funky cheddar(?) cheese sauce as well. Red Bliss potato home fries on the side with some kind of seasoning the kicks it up a notch. Finished with what might be freshly baked rye toast and I'm a happy guy! We sat at the counter and could see all the other meals coming out and was pretty impressed with those plates as well. Service was amazingly fast and everyone was extremely nice. Went for breakfast while staying at the attached hotel during Laconia bike week. This place was busy. I sat at the counter and was greeted by the server informing me that he will take my order soon, which I noticed he did to all his clients. Good service. Now I forgot my phone so all I had to entertain myself with was observing how the place operated since I had a good view of the cook, the support staff and the manager and servers picking up the food. When I say the place was busy, they were full of maybe a guesstimate of 80 people? It was a pleasure to see the kitchen staff prepare an order for a table of 6 and how difficult it is to get them all ready at the same time. Not to mention other patrons asking for assistance at the same time, the noise and crying baby. Food was typical diner food, with my corned beef hash nicely seared. I know some reviewers here can be harsh but when you do get a chance, do be nice to these hard working service folks and tip them accordingly. They do work hard to get your food right. read more

I saw this had a 3 Star rating, but it was within walking distance of our hotel, it was late, and we were hungry. Being from the south, I like my food seasoned. I'm not running into a ton of seasoning on this trip up north, and this place ran into the same problem. Take out on Sunday night took maybe 20 mins, and the employees were friendly. We didn't get any cutlery, condiments, or napkins in our to go bag, and I wasn't aware of that until we got back to the hotel though. The most flavorful item we had was the Tom's Last Hurrah sandwich, was had roasted turkey, cranberry mayo, and stuffing on toasted bread. That was pretty good, I'd recommend it. read more

It just happen to be fish Friday, buy a fish dinner for $14.99 get another half of a piece free. It was not fresh haddock for sure and the portion of fish was the tail end and very thin, French fries came out cold. It was just ok. With this this special you could order a cup of clam chowder for $2.49. I'm not a fan of thick chowders but the flavor was very buttery and tasty. Extremely rich though. Absolutely horrible experience here on 12/11. While still recovering from being sick, placed an order (online) for pick up. Get to location, park immediately in front of their entrance, spoke to a young hostess on the phone only to be told "no we don't do curbside delivery." Wait what? You advertise as much!! Went in to pick up my food after putting on a mask. Only to be told that my promised time was not going to be honored. She states "oh we are just putting in the order now." Proceed back to my vehicle only to come back in 15 mins later. At which point an older waitress was present alongside an Asian girl and said previous young hostess. When I ask again why is it they advertise curbside and not do this, I am told "oh yes this is something we do." So basically I was lied to by said hostess who was present, and at this time mumbling something as to suggest she didn't make previous statement when put on the spot. Nice going! Biscuits and gravy tasted like grit not grits. Food was terrible. Server was nice though even though seeing 2 patrons plates of food not eaten did not ask how it was. I'm a sucker for old-school diners, and Airport Diner is no exception. I've been there a handful of times, but this review is from my most recent visit the Saturday after Thanksgiving this past November. I met up with my sister and her family (two kids under 12) and when we arrived it was packed. They said it would be about 20-30 minutes to wait, but ended up being more like 10. We got our own booth for the six of us, and our server came by shortly after that. We all had detailed orders (substitutions, etc.) and our server had everything down. I was a little nervous as she wasn't writing anything down, but her recall of the menu and the options made me realize that she was a seasoned pro. Before leaving the table she went person-by-person to make sure she had everything right. She did. The food is standard diner fare, including breakfast all day. I enjoyed my pancakes, eggs, toast, and potatoes. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals too. We didn't feel rushed out even though it was a busy day, and everyone was very friendly. read more

Airport Diner is conveniently attached to the Manchester, NH Holiday Inn AND if you call the front desk, they will issue you a "Buy 1 adult entree, get 2 free kids meals" coupon. We really didn't have much to lose! Even without the deal, their prices are extremely reasonable. There's no delivery to your room, but you can get to the restaurant walking the halls of hotel, without having to go outside. Prep time was fairy quick considering the amount of folks who were eating inside and calling in orders. The food we ordered didn't knock our socks off (grilled cheese and pasta for the kids, shepard's pie for me), but it was well worth the convenience and the price tag and certainly filled our bellies when we just wanted to hang up our coats for the night and be in our room. Having to eat out at every meal when you are on the road can get really pricey, so I appreciated the collaboration between the diner and the Holiday Inn.
