Came here to get some food because I had a food offer which I was super excited about . We show up order and say we want to use it toward our bill . They tell us we cannot use it which we where a bit confused about (told us only Monday Wednesday and i forget what other day). So we walk back to the rewards center to get clarification. They assured us that it was available to use and if they had any issues at all to give them a call . We walk back and let them know what we where just told . Margret was amazing very friendly and said she would get a server to check it out . Sulinda was our server . She gave me so much attitude about using our food credits . I assured her how I would pay the difference and what not. She gave me sas on how I didn't believe her and wanted me to look at the computer . And I was trying so hard to keep calm and tell her how if there was an issue to just call like the lady told me . She denied to call , denied to help me . So I kept walking back and forth untill it was finally there . I was frustrated but being very calm because I know how stressful these situations can be . But no matter how calm and nice I was being I just kept receiving attitude from her . Margret wanted to get me a different server which was very appreciated . But sulinda just butted in and would not let the other server take my order . I am still very confused on why . After she gave me my receipt she very rudely and loudly pointed at the tip line and said "you can put something here or not " like we all know how a receipt works and after all that attitude I didn't think she deserved a tip , but I still left one . I am very happy with Margret and the sever who tried to help but extremely unhappy with sulinda and her attitude. Working in a industry like this you can't just be acting this way . It's unprofessional and just very wrong . I do not recommend this place . I would personally never go back if that's the way they are going to let servers treat people . Agave's restaurant gives diner vibes. The staff were all kind, but extremely slow and there weren't even that many people there. Food was what you'd expect at a diner; decent but nothing over the top. They had a limited selection, especially for drinks. Drinks that you can get almost everywhere in the hotel/casino weren't available here. Definitely a mellow low key place. read more

I stayed here with a friend for a staycation. Not many great food options unfortunately. So I went for the wings. The chicken wings were super yummy and crunchy. It was literally like amazing friend chicken. I ordered buffalo and garlic parmesan wings the sauce was in cups and the wings separate. First time that I've ever had wings served that way. Service was ok, everyone seemed a little rushed. The ambiance is definitely more of a retired age than anything as menu items are limited. Definitely a low key place for sure. read more

Went here today on a visit with my family. We wanted to sit outside and have breakfast as this restaurant has a lovely poolside seating area. We were told due to staffing issues, we cannot be seated outside. The hostess said they cannot do a take out order, but we could wait for a table and order then take our food outside to eat. So we waited about 30 min for a table, only to wait another 10 min to order. The server was very nice and accommodating while taking our order. We had to wait another 20 min or so for our food to be boxed and bagged up- so that's a total of about an hour before we even got our food. Now on to the food... I ordered Biscuits & gravy with bacon, home fries, and a side pancake. Everything but the bacon seemed over cooked and left out to dry. The B&G were dry and as you can see, the gravy barely covered the biscuits. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly, but they were also dry. The pancake tasted okay, but very fluffy and that's just not my preference. The bacon was crispy and very tasty. I would have given this experience a 2.5 * mainly for the hassle and wait for the food, but 3 it is! read more

He seemed like a great manager helping out his crew by clearing and wiping down tables to keep the flow of customers going. We had the Salisbury Steak and pot roast brisket with mashed potatoes. I'm giving this a 3-star mainly because of setting, location and choices on the menu. The restaurant is located in the Ak-Chin Casino. We were there for lunch. Our server was fine in bringing drinks, etc to our table. Choices on the menu were good. We had a very long wait for our food once we had ordered. Country potatoes were over-cooked and not hot but not cold either. We didn't eat many of them though. Scrambled egg was overly cooked. Biscuits and gravy were so-so. One person at our table had ordered a hamburger patty medium rare and it arrived well done so was sent back. She didn't see the replacement until the rest of us were totally finished with our meal and waiting for hers. The three stars on this should probably be a two but there it is -- 3 ! read more

Family had breakfast 2/22/23, wife ordered scrambled eggs & toast. She became violently ill (vomiting & diarrhea) within one hour of eating. Classic symptoms of food poisoning. I reported it to the manager & thought he was kind of dismissive saying no one else has gotten sick & no offer to comp our meal. It only takes 1 spoiled egg to cause a problem for an individual. He ordered the sirloin steak. Huge plate. Perfectly cooked with al dente squash & carrots swimming in a cup of butter. The pilaf was divine. I had the chicken fried steak. The one consistent bright spot at Harrah's Ak-Chin hotel is and has always been Agave Restaurant. This restaurant is obviously under the same staffing pressure as the rest of the hotel is. Somehow, even with a two-hour wait for a table, they're still able to have pleasant and smiling servers and staff. The food here at Agave has always been good, even though it has suffered slightly according to my wife, who says that the hollandaise sauce with her eggs benedict was a bit too "cheesy." But we'll make allowance considering the situation they find themselves in. My bagel and lox were superb as always. Kudos to the very few servers here at Agave. They're seriously understaffed, and yet the three of them maintain a smile on their face. I wish the rest of the hotel staff could be as pleasant as the servers at Agave Restaurant. The busboy should get a shout-out since he is also quite pleasant and has to cover all the tables himself. We are diamond members & frequent this casino for lunch & dinner. This was our first and last visit. Server was nice but slow. My husband got the prime rib sandwich. We had gotten before many times at Chophouse, however, this rendition didn't taste as good. He had to add horseradish for taste. I got 3 taco platter. The beef was ok, a little dry. The chicken was not edible. It had a weird taste. The pork was dry and not appetizing. Onions were cut into huge cubes. The server advised they had a salsa which I waited for. It definitely helped the taste of the food. It couldn't salvage the chicken though. We had brought in adult beverages from casino & ordered water but was still somehow charged for a Pepsi. I used to love this place. Gold and diamond players at the AK chin we would come here often. Unfortunately tonight was a terrible experience. We ended up buying a 48 dollar rib eye, which was NOT a rib eye- more of a sirloin and other dishes. There were nasty flys EVERYWHERE!!! I couldn't even believe it. I could not even eat my food. I did not take it out in the server- still tipped accordingly and let him know my feelings- but this is NOT okay. Salad came out, super small pretty basic, steak came out had some yucky gravy sauce all over it, steak was cooked well but sucked flavor wise and super tuff. I ate 3 bites then got grossed out by all the flys flying around us and landing on our food. Resturant wants to charge $26 for a crappy steak and then customers have the pleasure of worrying about eating a fly during the meal. My mother even asked a server if she could get a Flyswatter, but apparently they don't have one, the guy said.
