Bring your appetite, these portions are huge. We waited 30 minutes to be seated for lunch on a Sunday. There is a covered patio so we didn't mind the wait. The servers were awesome and the food was good. If you don't mind the trip to Casa Grande, this is worth a stop. read more

Spouse and I stopped in for breakfast. I had bacon, eggs, potatoes and potatoes and spouse hade the pancakes both were very good, and portions were large. Service was great. Server was friendly and checked on us during the meal. It is a little small inside seating area which seemed a little cramped, but it does have a nice outside seating area. It was clean and seemed to be very well kept. Parking can be a little tricky so you may have a small wall if it is busy but nothing outrageous. If you are in the area, I would suggest giving it a try. read more

We just recently moved to the area and this Sunday 11/02/25 we decided to try a new restaurant out in the area which is Big House Cafe in old town casa Grande. My husband and I had ordered the biscuits and gravy with potatoes and over easy eggs which he was very disappointed about because the grave was terrible! We also ordered zucchini fries which were big chunks and not thin or remotely even like the size of a fry's. We also ordered a Ruben which wasn't bad but I've never heard of anyone putting brown mustard on a Ruben it hardly had any thousand island on it or sauerkraut. For three items it took over 35 minutes for take out and cost us over $40 for our food which wasn't what we expected and the wait wasn't worth it. Stopped at this location after leaving Saguaro National Park and on the way to Phoenix. We had a 15 minute wait, but it was a good sign they were busy! The service was good, and the bathrooms were clean. My mom loved the vintage posters and memorabilia on the shelves. She ordered a burrito, which was quite large. This was a cute little restaurant that had good coffee, which is very important to me, and both my husband and I were happy with our meals. There were a lot of people coming in after we were seated which made me think we'll be back again. Service was good as multiple servers were milling about pouring coffee and delivering the meals. read more

I arrived just after 1015 and there was about a 20 minute wait. I got a table right by the front door and sat with my back to the window so that I could see the interior well. It took quite some time before anyone came to take my order, nearly an hour after I had originally arrived, however, they were extremely busy. So much so that some people were deciding not to wait. I ordered an orange juice and the Old Town breakfast with two scrambled eggs, country potatoes, sausage, bacon, and wheat toast. The hostess apologized for the additional wait, as there were several to go orders ahead of me. The large orange juice was extremely satisfying. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and I asked for cheese on top, so they were absoltuly delicious!!! The bacon was a tad undercooked for my taste, but it was still awesome. Although grape jelly isn't my favorite, that is all I was offered. As it turned out, it was perfect on my toast. There was so much food on my plate, but I ate every bite of it. I was so satisfied!!! The price was just right for what I had as well. Service was top notch and the atmosphere is very inviting! I loved seeing the old time antiques on the walls. I've previously left an extremely positive review. My next experience wasn't the greatest, but I assumed it was a one-off, so didn't update my review. After yesterday's breakfast, I feel so need to comment on the service. The food is great, no complaints there. It was not overly busy in the front of the house; restaurant was half full. But it took a ridiculous long time for our order to be taken. Why only ONE person is capable of taking a breakfast order demonstrates a lack of cross training. I had to ask several times to have our order taken. I probably won't return any time soon. It's too expensive to tolerate such disregard for customers. Please train your staff to work more efficiently. It might help the cook to have one person taking orders ...but it's your customers who deserves more consideration. Or update your ordering system to a self-ordering kiosk. Also open up the back porch, the dining room area is NOISY!! read more

Plenty of food. Service was fast and efficient. Quality of food was exceptional. We didn't know they closed at 2:00 and arrived at 1:20, they were full up except for one table. Were greeted promptly and received our lunch/breakfast in less than 15 minutes. Had a nice conversation with a nice young lady(owner/manager) letting us know to take out time and enjoy. We apologized for coming in so close to closing and assured her we would definitely be back to try another treat from their extensive menu! We enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and the taco plate. We dearly love this business! And so happy to see them thriving after the unexpected loss of founder Chef Michael. The family has committed to continue the legacy. And the food continues to be excellent. Not only do I love the vibe of the interior, but the staff is just so darn nice! The menu continues to evolve but retains everything they are famous for. My favorite remains the Casa Grande plate - cheese enchiladas with eggs, your choice of enchilada sauce (they will do half red/half green), beans and home fries. Very filling. On our way to Mira Vista we decided to stop for breakfast in Casa Grand and found this little gem. Small but very nice with antiques decorating the walls. Service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. The food was the star and they serve breakfast all day. I had the breakfast enchiladas with two eggs and home fries. Delicious!!
