I had heard about this place for quite awhile, and have been wanting to try it. This morning I had the opportunity to stop in, and I honestly wish I hadnt. Got there at about 9:05am, stood there waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes before I actually had to ask a server to help us. She did bring our coffees pretty quickly, but no other refills, acknowledgements, or taking our order ....after about 25 minutes we left without being helped. I had to go up to the counter to ask about paying for our coffees, but the waitress said no charge - probably because she already knew what the issue was. Absolutely ridiculous - especially considering that it wasn't very busy. Honestly not sure if I even want to give this place a second chance. read more

I went in on Sun morning 4/12/26 for what should have been a nice family breakfast while visiting my dgtr and her family (they live in Casa Grande). There was a 25 min wait to get a table (6 of us) which was no problem. Once seated it took a few minutes to get drinks and another 15 plus minutes to place an order which we had to call the waitress over. Once we placed the order I figured it would take 15 to 20 max for our food so I administer my daughter her insulin. After 42 mins later I had to call the waitress over and asked her how much longer since we had all ready placed the order 45 mins ago and her response was like you guys are a large party and they are making it . Mind you it was 4 adults and 2 kids I asked her well bill me for the drinks I have dosed my dgtr and she now needs food for her insulin. I drive by this place so often taking my son to work that I decided I needed to check it out. I am really glad that I did! I stopped in on a Sunday morning and was easily able to find street parking. I was seated immediately and after a few minutes placed my order. I chose the scrambled eggs, home potatoes, bacon, and wheat toast, with orange juice to wash it all down. The food was served very quickly, every bite was absolutely delicious, and my hunger was definitely satisfiedtisfied! All employees were very polite and good at getting things done. You can tell that they enjoy their jobs. I love the feel of this place, they have some board games in the back corner, and a fish tank with at least one fish in it. Up front there is a bakery counter with lots of cookie options, I had to resist the urge to snatch some up. All around the decor is very homey and comfortable. I especially loved the two little signs by the kitchen, they made me chuckle. If you are ever in Old Town Casa Grande, be sure to check this place out. Menu was all cafe fare - we actually had a hard time deciding what to try because several items looked good. Prices were decent and fair. Placed order with server few minutes later. Probably 10-15 min later, food hitting table, fresh, smells and looks delicious. Friendly service, again. I tuck into my salad - this Cobb is outstanding. I asked for the black olives to be held back, along with the bread, so I can't review those items, but what did make it onto my salad plate (pretty decent sized too) was fresh romaine, recently chopped, diced tomatoes that were red-red (not yellow orange red), hard boiled egg, slivered (I think I'm in love ), grilled chicken, fresh avocado, and a VERY generous portion of fresh chopped bacon. Sprinkled across the salad was blue cheese crumbles and .... FRESH GROUND BLACK PEPPER. It was amazing. 100/10 would get again and would def recommend. Someone is paying attention to details in the kitchen, and it shows! I appreciate them!!! I treated myself to honey mustard salad dressing (normally a vinaigrette gal), and it was so good and went ridiculously well with the overall salad. After eating about 1/3 of the salad, I checked out my cup of soup. Tasted homemade, with huge chunks of chicken and there was a nice pop of warmth from the grilled jalapeños. 15/10 would recommend. On my next trip I look forward to trying other soups of the day. Hubs enjoyed his burger, chips. Said he wished they had fries instead of chips, but I don't think they have a fryer. Can't emphasize enough, service was fast, efficient, and FRIENDLY. Prices were good, and food was GREAT. If you're looking for a great little place to grab breakfast and coffee in the morning or a nice lunch/brunch, you can't go wrong here. Picked up a 6 pack of snickerdoodles on the way out the door, haven't tried them yet, but they look heavenly. We are definitely looking forward to returning the next time we are in Casa Grande. I have been eating in this restaurant for ages. I used to live in Arizona and worked nearby. After our shift, we used to line up waiting for a table quite often. We had moved out of state and came back to visit. Ordered the chorizo and egg breakfast burrito, and was such a delight to taste it again. One of the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. It was very tasty, hardly any grease at all, had all the elements of a very good complete breakfast. The size was good. With how good it was, I could only eat half of portion. I was told to sit myself so I did and sat for about 15 minutes before (no menu, no water). So I went up and asked if I needed to order at the counter. One lady was very apologetic and was super nice. There's a restaurant in Las Vegas where the servers and staff are rude to you on purpose, it's called "Dick's Last Resort", but you can save yourself a trip and come here instead! On the plus side the food is usually pretty good. This little cafe sits about 50 and theres a wait. We spent an hour from the time we were sat( add 10mi s for the wait) till we paid for the bill. It was busy! My corned beef hash was homemade and delicious, but the surprise of the meal was the 2 buttermilk pancakes served as an option for toast were quite tasty. One less star for the service like previous yelpers stated. Our food was delivered to the wrong table while we listened to the servers how they cant read the table number.
