Tags was a good find for us. We love breakfast out and this quaint diner is just right. The menu is full of delicious old fashioned favorites like, diced ham and eggs YUM and chicken fried steak, another Yum. Service is friendly and if you like an older fashioned diner this is the place. We're planning on trying lunch one day soon. read more

Spectacular! I will always love a small town diner, with great people: servers & patrons alike.. Place gets packed, prepare to wait if you come with more then yourself. it's worth it! Nothing fancy, just great home cooking with fantastic people.. The place was full & I still only waited about 10 minutes for my food after I ordered. the time flew by because I met a couple terrific patrons who are locals & have a few years more than me in the tank. Spouse and I really enjoy Tag's, normally a breakfast stop for us and have never really been disappointed. It is open for breakfast and lunch, and they do both well. My mainstay is the American which comes with bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and toast and it is always consistent. Spouse is a little more adventuresome and experiments but again never had a bad experience. It's not nouvelle cuisine but you can count on it being good. Service is always good, and your coffee cup never runs dry. The building and interior have been around for a few years, but it is always kept clean and presentable. Parking is good and 3 sides of the building with easy access to the main street in Coolidge. read more

We were there Saturday morning. I ordered scrambled eggs with a side of bacon. I was so disappointed with the eggs. They were either Egg Beaters or diluted with water or milk cuz they didn't taste like eggs and were served watery. No taste at all. Best place to stop for breakfast on this side of town! I ordered takeout and even the packaged presentation "delivered ". Not only did it look great, but it also tated amazing! Country style home cooking. Very good! The prices are affordable as well. There are not a lot of choices in Coolidge, either.

It's been a long time since I've eaten here, so I thought I would give them another shot as I was not super impressed with my first visit. Unfortunately this visit didn't end up any better. I had a cup of chili which wasn't bad, and a slice of cherry pie which was actually pretty good. If I had been there for only those two things I would give them a better review but the real test is an actual meal. I had the grilled ham and cheese on rye, which was super thin, and definitely not worth the price of admission to this particular show. My wife had the liver and the total bill was just under thirty dollars. Of note was that while there was a sign by the cash register asking customers to stay home if they had Covid as the restaurant was concerned for their customers safety, not a single person working there was wearing a mask and they didn't enforce it for customers coming or going. They didn't sanitize between customers and there was no social distancing at all which was a shame because the restaurant is large enough to handle it with two back rooms available. Between the food and safety concerns I find somewhere else to eat moving forward. read more

Has that small town feel and definitely looks it. Called in an order for takeout and was told 10 minutes. Pleasantly surprised, I hopped in my car and made my way there. Had to wait about 30 minutes for my food, kind of awkwardly sat at the counter. Just wish I was quoted something like 25 minutes so I wouldn't have to wait in the packed cafe. I'm not sure what the big raves are about pertaining to this place. It was quite busy when we rode down there. That's usually a good sign. The wait for coffee was also a bit long. Also to be expected considering how busy they were. What a disappointment when the food arrived. I thought maybe they had dropped half of it on the floor? Where was the rest of it? Yep.. that was all of it.. it was almost comical. Won't go back. Tasted good, just don't get much for the price. I'll continue to go to Black Bear Diner. Both places are expensive. We stopped in for breakfast, around 10 , figured we would miss most of the morning rush. Not too crowded, we found a table easily. They now have plastic dividers between tables, kinda strange, not full length, but who knows the rules? Drinks came promptly, and it didn't take long for our food to arrive. Hubs had two lukewarm sausage patties and two eggs special. Mine was 1/2 order biscuits and gravy, one scrambled egg and hash browns. Very strange my very overcooked egg pieces were so tiny I couldn't keep them on my fork. Plus they were under, around and mixed within the lukewarm gravy and greasy hash browns. Came up here to visit the ruins and got here a bit early so decided to have breakfast first. Food was good but nothing I'd call spectacular. I had eggs and bacon with hash browns. The eggs were cooked perfectly sunny side up, the hash browns were a bit greasy but still good, the bacon was undercooked with kot much flavor. Bobbie had chorizo and eggs mixed together in a scramble. Chorizo had great flavor and the eggs were nicely done. Her hash browns were like mine being a bit greasy. Waitress was super sweet it was clean enough but food just wasn't great and husband had three egg everything omelette looked so small for 10.29 and I choose their Mexican side of the menu again....
