Service was very good and the margaritas were very tasty. My only grief is price. Yes the taco was good but $7 for one taco and another 5 for second. You do get small amount of chips and very tasty salsa but for that price you should have something special. Each margarita is in a small fishbowl glass which is $11 or $12. Tacos are good but way over priced ! They are never consistent on their prices. One day it may be $6.95 per taco , one day it may be pick 2 or 3 for 1/2 off each additional taco. First visited in spring of 2017 and had fantastic margaritas and tacos. Was so looking forward to visiting this place again. This evening my daughter and I ordered the Cucumber Jalapeño Margaritas. The flavor was flat and watered down. Server offered to add more tequila to the margaritas or just make another. Ordered the classic as a replacement , and it wasn't much better. Ordered the nachos with brisket. Very small amount of brisket present, and there was liquid cheese on the nachos. Disappointing experience- will definitely not return. read more

My sister and I went to get a drink at the bar and waited 10+minutes with less than a full house. We waited with another person behind us to put in an order. We were overlooked and they took the persons order behind us. Completely overlooked us. Lost our money and the 20% tip we always leave for waiters and waitresses. They knew we were there. We were completely respectful and waiting our turn. Ignorance on their part. Love the area but that was in poor taste! read more

Great stop on the way to Hilton Head! We had a late lunch of margaritas and tacos. The food was nothing special but typical tex-mex style. We had our dog and there was plenty of outdoor, shaded seating. The staff even brought out an ice water bowl for our dog. The wait staff was excellent and even gave us all waters to-go. read more

Bad service. Limited menu. Odd layout--place is mostly either sit at the bar or sit outside. Good luck in the winter. Anyone who sells Ahi tuna in SC should know it comes from Sysco, frozen in plastic wrap, so I would never order it anyway. Seemed short staffed. Not impressed at all. Server came from the kitchen to announce to the bartender (and everyone else) that they were out (86'd) tuna. Seems like they are trying to rest on their laurels of the other restaurant they own. :-( read more

I really wanted to love this place, but it was just ok. I agree with other reviewers that the layout is just odd. We went one day and sat outside, but they had shades down so we didn't get to warm up in the sun like we had hoped. . . kind of the point of going there. The food was fine but I ordered the Jalapeño margarita and was really watery, lacked much flavor and in general was very disappointing. Maybe it was that particular bartender but I only drank it because we were paying for it. I'd give it another chance. . . but not my favorite mexican place. read more

This place hit the nail on the head. We were looking for something casual and tasty. It was both. The service was outstanding. Allergies are in the family and the kitchen and waitstaff were more than accommodating. The blackened mahi tacos were awesome. Kid had the grilled mahi and loved them. I had a mix and match of the spicy shrimp and mahi which was fantastic. The mango salsa on then both were refreshing. I don't understand the other reviews giving this place and average because this was way above average. Glad we didn't listen to the reviews. This is simply a unique and great place for lunch or dinner! Great tacos and customer service! They only sell 100% blue agave Patron spirits meaning smooth tequila and at a reasonable price! Evening wait staff for 3/30/18, very poorly done. The only group in there was treated very terribly. Male waiter was drunk. Older female waitress was disrespectful and nasty. My friends and I rented an Airbnb across the street since we are from out of town and planning on going to Savannah for the Saint Patrick's festival. We went to Agave to get a few drinks before we got an uber to Savannah. Both my friends unfortunately were denied service because their IDs are vertical despite both of them being over 21. I don't know if this is a state law but we were very disappointed to be denied service for having an out of state, vertical ID. I wouldn't recommend Agave to anyone coming from out of state with vertical IDs. The prices were very high to begin with and the establishment was very small. read more

Chips and guacamole were good but not huge. The ahi tuna and Mahi Mahi tacos were fresh and had excellent slaw. I had smoky beef brisket and shredded chicken. The Mexican corn was sweet, tender, cheesy and amazing. Bill with 2 margaritas each topped $70. Pricy.
