It felt like we had eyes on us the whole time. One woman even did a full 180 turn at the bar to glance at us (I could see the bar area from outside when the sun started going down). I'm not sure if this restaurant is frequented more by locals who aren't used to seeing outside people; I live an hour outside Bluffton. But that just kind of dampened the entire experience and made it a bit uncomfortable. We weren't doing or wearing anything to draw attention. And that may very well have been a one-off situation but still something to note.

We had to ask for silverware, and my side substitutions were rung up incorrectly. I also received fries even though I had substituted them, and I didn't receive the hush puppies that were supposed to come with the meal. I ordered a second bar drink that never came, so I eventually asked for it to be removed from the bill. Our waiter was young and overall did a good job, but I think he could benefit from a little more training and attention to detail when taking orders. Overall, the food was good and we enjoyed our dinner. I would recommend giving Ma Daisy's a try, but definitely check your bill and make sure your substitutions are entered correctly. There's room for improvement with the service, but the food was worth the visit!
