Solid ramen place inside the large industrial area by Alderbridge and No3. Parking is plentiful in the lot surrounding the buildings. The theme for this chain seems to be the high open ceilings and bright interior with all the shiny ductwork visible. I've been to the Portland location (7th Ave) and while this (Richmond) place is nicer than most other ramen shops around town, the Portland location blows this one out of the water. I've been spoiled. Staff were friendly and helpful. I tried the yuzu shoyu ramen. Honestly I couldn't tell there was yuzu in there, but I also didn't know what I was looking for, go figure. It was tasty. For those who eat more than snacks, I also recommend getting the noodle refill for a few bucks more. Thank goodness I ordered it. Would've left hungry otherwise. The pork was tasty. So was the soft boiled egg. Vegetables were dainty. I left happy. Pricing was reasonable too. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point, though Richmond has plenty of other ramen shops worth chekcing out. Recommended.

Afuri offered some of the best ramen that I've had in my limited experience. Most of my party ordered the ramen combo with choice of drink, appetizer and ramen so I did too. What stood out to me was the flavor of each dish. The Yuzu limeade was freshly crafted by our waitress behind the bar and it was awesome! For the appetizer I got the spicy chicken which was a large portion with the right amount of spice. Lastly, the yuzu tsuyu ramen delivered excellent braised pork amongst other flavorful components. The broth/dipping sauce was served on the side so you can choose how much you want to use. Overall, a wonderful ramen experience for a novice and my whole party thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. However, one of my guests ordered an extra topping and never got it - plus the waitstaff did not check on us until the meal was over so it was never brought over. This didn't take away the flavor of the meal, just annoying to pay for something extra that never came.

Came here for the two year anniversary special. $12 for a bowl of yuzu shio ramen with chicken chashu. Good value but the taste was just okay to me. Noodles are also quite thin.

Finally got the chance to try this place... Tried their house special signature shio ramen... Now what stands out about their shio ramen Is that they add ponzu to the broth...giving it a tangy citrusy taste. I actually liked it as it tasted quite refreshing... Pork chasu on point and noodles were al dente. Interestingly enough is that they add arugula To the bowl...dont see this much in japanese ramen places. Since the arugula is a bit bitter by itself, dont see how it complimented the ramen in any way. Also tried the signature afuri pork bun that came with a huge slice of braised pork inside. So so good , succulent and juicy. With enough sauce and sweetness to compliment the plain bun and give it umaminess. Also tried the classic takoyaki....came pipping hot and fresh. More squid would be nice. Lol. Service was quick and efficient. Easy to order and lots of seating. Ambiance is like a mini warehouse kind of dining. Not your typical ramen place with dark wood and booth seating and low lighting. Its bright and airy and not gloomy inside. I still prefer the traditional shio taste over the ponzu experience But, will repeat for sure to try other offerings! Cheers! Happy eating!

Really enjoyed their noodles, they used a thin noodle. Which was surprisly work well with the Tsuyu. braised pork was soft and the tsuyu help broke down the fattness of the fat from the pork. The Yuzu ramen was really surprising. The flavour of the Yuzu is like an explosion, think they use like Yuzu oil. Broth was really clean The staff was friendly. The shop was spacious lots of room. The restaurant itself is reasonably large, but I feel as if seating can be optimized; there is a lot of extra space-- the wait was fairly long, but what isn't these days. The egg was prepared well, and the presentation is nice. However, I would say that if you like saltier broths, you will have to add more.

Excellent Ramen . I had the Yuzu Shio and broth was rich and noodles of good texture . Their service was very attentive and a warm modern decor inside .my only critique is there the meal does not include a traditional complimentary cup of green tea but just a cup of water which is a poor first impression . These days of inflated food prices a bowl of Ramen here will cost you $17-$20

I haven't had such good ramen in a while. The price was totally worth it. Every part of the ramen had its own distinct taste. Though everything blended together so well. I always fear while eating ramen. That the chicken has too much fat or gristle on it. But the way that they prepared everything in this dish was absolutely exquisite. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is beautiful. I live in Richmond and didn't even know that it was here. So happy I was introduced to this place. I will for sure be coming back and bring my family and friends.

Dumplings and crispy egg were phenom, ramen left me underwhelmed. My friends and I hit up Afuri on Main for the first time on the weekend. Got there at 11:30am and got a seat right away, yes there was a line up before open tho! Service was awesome and the staff was super nice. We ordered the crispy egg and spicy dumplings to start which were both so incredible tasty! Great pork flavour on the dumps and the crispy egg I've never had anything like it before. Kind of like a tempura jammy egg which I loved. Now for the ramen, I found my pork to be really thick and quite chewy, almost more like a bacon pork belly versus the more delicate slices of pork I've had at other spots. The broth was quite rich in pork flavour and while it said it was spicy on the menu I got very little kick. The noodles were good with some nice chew to them but overall I prefer the Ramen elsewhere. It's also a bit experience for ramen too!

This was a happy accident going into this restaurant. The staff here are very friendly and attentive. Menu is good, theres a lot of options. I had the shoyu and my fiancé had ratan, and got karrage to share.

We finally tried out the Afuri Ramen + Dumpling 阿夫利 which opened its first Canadian location in Richmond. Afuri is a popular Tokyo ramen chain, and they specialize in yuzu-style ramen. Yuzu is considered a small citrus fruit, and it is used as a souring ingredient through the use of its juice and zest. It has its own unique flavour. It is tart and fragrant, closely resembling that of the grapefruit, with overtones of mandarin orange. We ordered three of their favourite dishes. * Yuzu Shoyu Ramen * Soft Shell Crab Bun * Buta Gyoza Afuri Ramen + Dumpling 阿夫利 is located at unit 140-7971 Alderbridge Way in Richmond BC. It is about 5 minutes walk away from the Lansdowne Skytrain Station. Food: 4/5 Should Try! Service: ‍‍‍3/5 Kids: 3/5 A-OK for kids Price: $30-50 for two Presentation: 3/5 Parking: 3/5 Tips: *uses the kiosk touch screen system to order and pay prior to sitting down. *can get crowded around the kiosk. *serves house-made beverages and cocktails. *can get complimentary char siu or if following them on IG. *needs improvement on the COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Would I Return: Yes ‍

I travel all over and a good Ramen bowl is one of my favorite finds. This place definitely did not disappoint. Ordered the Hazelnut Ramen. Vegan. One of the best I've eaten and if you know me, I eat a lot!! Order at the kiosk and quickly food was delivered. Fresh yet quick. The vegan Hazelnut was one of the most unique flavors. A bit of a kick but not too much. Had several sides which we all shared. Can't wait to revisit next time I'm in town.

I got an order of fried gyoza for the kid and I ordered the cha su ramen (mild). Man it was good. The ramen noodles were soft and had a good texture. The pork slices had a good flavor to them and were tender. The soup base was tasty. Let just say I finished the whole thing. The guy sitting next to us liked his ramen so much that he ordered and bowl. The service was great. Oh, the said they don't take cash. No worries because I was paying with credit card anyway and didn't exchange my US dollars to Canadian dollars. It was a shirt walk from the Versante Hotel. I highly recommend this place if you're ever in the area. Yummy!

When I had the chance to go to Vancouver, BC with my boyfriend I wanted to go here! First all, you need a reservation specifically for the high tea portion so we booked that ahead of time. We were first sat down with matcha to start with and the music surrounding us was serene and calming. Then came the high tea, compared to your usual high tea, without the Japanese fusion. This came with a lot of interesting treats. In the middle tier, there was your savory two different types of onigiri, savory rice cakes, and elevated salad with a jelly. The salad was incredible and unlike anything I've had before. The onigiris were good as they should be so was the rice cakes. Top tier and bottom tier consisted of the desserts one plate for me and one plate for my boyfriend. My favorite was the mango mochi. It was so creamy and delicious! The other dessert was solid too, I like the little mousse cake. I also liked the add on of a matcha sauce for the fruits. Tsujiri definitely transformed high tea into a Japanese version and it was well put. Both usually make me full. I do wish there was more options on savories you could have before eating the sweets, but this is a slightly different experience.

The yakitori flight was regular size (they also offer giant-sized skewers for individual order, not flight). The chicken was very soft and juicy, with a nice charcoal flavor, making it delicious. The beef had a slightly chewy texture, but the umami flavor was excellent. I really enjoyed this dish as well. The hand roll flight we chose included Aburi salmon and ikura, scallop and ikura, and hamachi and unagi. The seafood was pretty good, but the rice was too warm, which made the nori texture soft and soggy.
