So glad I stumbled upon this place! GREAT service and staff! Clean and beautiful store. My first thought when I walked in was WOW, what a interesting and fashionable selection. My second thought was, great wonder how much I'm going to be spending here. But I have to say the prices were great. Not only were they reasonable but they were very affordable! I usually get my glasses from Costco but recently I got a pair there and they were just not working for me. When all said and done I paid very very close to what Costco was charging me. Seeming I have very high cheek bones and a wider framed face I've been running around for the past 2 weeks to every vision center around this area, smaller owned places and the bigger corporate places, where I couldn't find one single thing that would fit me properly. All the frames that I liked would hit the side of my face and they just didn't fit right. It was getting to the point where I was getting very frustrated and really felt like giving up. Now I have to admit that I am a very picky and particular person when it comes to what my frames look like but this was the first and only place where I actually found 3 different frames that fit me perfectly and not to mention they were all frames that I loved. Dr. Katz and her staff are attentive and professional so much so I recommended my wife to go there as well. In the past, I have gone to other "chain" type places to get my contacts, eye glasses and exam but have found the personal touch and convenience of going to Advanced Vision Center to be exceptional. The customer experience has actually improved over the past 10 years when they moved to Swampscott increasing their space and their options for eye wear. If you wear contacts, they ensure you wear the proper fit by providing a sample pair to wear. If you wear glasses, they stand behind their warranties. On more than one occasion, my glasses have been replaced due to scratches on my lenses or my frames breaking (due to my young daughter treating them as a toy). Went to Advanced Vision Center for my first eye exam. This was the most pleasant experience I ever had going to a doctor's office. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. The receptionist, was so sweet and told me the co-pay that i needed to pay right away. I saw Dr. Katz and I loved her. She was very thorough but quick at the same time. I got a prescription for my glasses and contacts and had a training on how to wear and take care of contacts. The optical representatives, Tara and Josh were so great. They made the process of getting glasses so easy. Tara also explained to me the differences between lenses, and which one would be more suitable for my prescription. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service that Advanced Vision Center provided. I highly recommend everyone to check it out. read more

The staff made the entire process, from eye exam, to contact and glasses prescription, and purchasing frames and lenses, pain free and enjoyable. I just recently visited Advanced Vision Center, I had a issue with my insurance approving an eye exam. The young woman who works with exams was extremely helpful to me in a time of anxiety and confusion. I didn't know what was going on she was so patient and willing to help me. she helped me resolve the issues quickly.I have been to other eye care places, but never have I met someone who goes above and beyond to help someone. Wonderful place! Cassandra gave me a very through exam, the perfect balance of state-of-the-art equipment and old school bedside manner. Everyone there is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The inventory is curated by Sherry who has her finger on the pulse of the latest looks and designers. It's also manageable from a shopper's point of view.
