Ben was at my home today and did an amazing job at opening the safe that I've been having issues with for a long time he came in promptly and on time and did the work efficiently and didn't leave any scratches or holes inside my safe. I would definitely recommend you using them and I would definitely use them again.

While they were extremely prompt and good about sending their technician out, unfortunately my frustration was with their technician. They discounted the price for lockout service from $140 to $50 to be fair, but I took the following damages: my tint on the driver's side is torn and will need to be replaced (it was a $280 tint job so I'm hoping one window won't be that bad), my paint on the door at the top (where the technician inserted his device) is completely scratched off down to the surface. My rear window and the paint outside above it were also scratched. I requested that he pop open my trunk latch since my keys were locked in there. He insisted he wanted to try the door handle and then the door lock first. After many attempts, that's where the damage to my car happened. In all I've probably accrued about at least $100 worth of damages (depending on what they quote for paint.) I've attached some photos for consideration. He worked on my car for about 45 minutes total. Overall okay if you don't care about your car getting damaged in the process. Honestly, I would have rather waited for someone with better tools, but I guess I learned my lesson.

The 1300 lb safe. Gone, but not forgotten.

The team, led by Benjamin, did an incredible job removing a large safe from the second floor of an old house. I am so thankful I found them online, after a very bad experience with a national firm. They protected my property, as if it was their own. I will never hire anyone else for any of the many services they offer.

I locked myself out of my house by mistake today and these guys really came through for me!

I locked myself out of my house by mistake today and these guys really came through for me! Not only did they get me in the house, they replaced the lock, and fixed part of the door too! They were in and out in less than 20 min! Great service for a great price!

When I contacted them about the issue, they made promises to refund monthly payments and cancel the loan balance on the alarm system, with the possibility of covering limited liability costs if the police report was consistent with the information I shared with them. But the catch--I can't cancel my account in the meantime, or I will get nothing, and am still on the hook to pay for the alarm components that I no longer have. It took a while to get the police report, but now that I have submitted it, they are reneging on loan cancelation and refunds, even though they confirmed that I am eligible for limited liability payment. Meanwhile, they've been charging me for monthly monitoring, which I know they are not doing because I NO LONGER HAVE THE ALARM SYSTEM. They weren't even monitoring when the system was in place... Stay FAR FAR AWAY from Vivint. This company is a scam.

As a professional I'm not treating a client without a written consent?? He then tried to lie to inspector saying alarm was already there and he did some work on it. Since he is very proud of being in the business for 30 years, he should know that even if alarm was there if the previous owner didn't pull a permit then he still needed to. I understand people take shortcuts, but the response was like an "oh well" when this process has taken 3 years. Now even though he is in the wrong he wants to charge me another 4500 after already paying close to 25,000. Oh well attitude isn't good enough for me. The person he is trying to hire to do the remaining work also works another company?? They are charging me way less. so again he messes up, blames the customer, then tries to over charge. Do not use Earl. He is very unprofessional and extremely rude. He is also very slow.

He gave me a 3 day time frame to finish the scope of work, that actually took up to 2 months just to install alarm system, and 10 cameras. During the process he request additional money over $300 to finish the job even though the job was paid in full at the beginning. He was also suppose to install audio in which he never installed and it was paid for. I called to advise him when the fax rings the alarm goes in disfuncrion mode and he scheduled a date to fix it with the install of the audio. He told me he would need to order a cell phone backup which would cost an additional $469, he schedule a date to install audio and fix alarm problem on 9/20/18. I called him on that day at 2:30 pm to see what time he would be coming out. Needless to say he told me he wasn't coming out at all because of the conversation that was had in regards to the cost of cell phone back. He canceled my alarm service and is charging a cancellation fee. During the contract I paid $360 that went towards the yearly monitoring service. He can not tell me the amount of my refund but stated I will know by 10/21/18. I advised him that I didn't want the monitoring service canceled until it was time to renew the contract which would be 8/2019. Please save your time and money by not doing business with Kustom Security Systems. I would have rather gave no stars but 1 Star was the least to rate him.

The first thing of note was how good Patrick's quote was when he sent it to me. His pricing was fair, and his detail and thorough approach to making a proposal were top notch. Everything was in it...including diagrams and photos. He does a complete breakdown of labor and hardware costs so you can tell what you are getting for your money. If, like me, you are providing the cameras or NVR, he helps you understand where your part ends and his begins. He also was very quick to get back to me and keep in contact as I was making my decision between him an other vendors. In the end, obviously I went with Patrick...and his price was not the lowest in fact. His professionalism was what tilted me in his direction. We made a few adjustments to the proposal so by the time he came in, there were almost no details left to work out. That is always a good sign. I'm very glad I made that decision. Hey and Indy did a great job taking care of our home as they worked. The camera's went up and they look as they they were originally a part of the house design. The doorbell also looks original. I would absolutely work with Patrick again and most likely I will.

One of the service techs walked me through replacing the battery in my system on Friday since it had come up with a failure warning and it was beeping incessantly. Rather than waiting 6 days for a tech to arrive, she suggested I take a look locally for one or buy online. Since Home Depot didn't have one I bought this one on Amazon for $17. Arrived next morning. Bazinga!!! The security company was charging $40 for theirs plus a $70 service visit. They're only two terminal connectors so it was easy enough to install and $17 beats $110 by anybody's math. Takes less than 2 seconds to install. I had some difficulty with everything working properly once the battery was connected but I was able to call into the monitoring station and have a service tech paged to call me back. He did, and was able to help me troubleshoot the connectivity issue. Overall it's a pretty easy company to deal with. They can be a little difficult to reach sometimes (esp after hours) because I don't think they're infrastructure is like other companies. I get the impression they're a fairly small family run operation. When you call during the week for billing our other questions you get the main office personnel who are always helpful and friendly. There is no prompt in their voicemail tree for TECH SUPPORT so you have to go in through monitoring, and be transferred (or if during business hours someone from the main office will transfer you). Then you listen to more voicemail prompts and select one for somebody to call you back. They definitely call you back anytime your alarm trips, for any reason. Home, then your cell if no answer. It's $75/quarter from monitoring which is on par with most other companies in this space so overall it gets the job done. No real complaints.

Instead, it turned into an all-day outage, leaving my business with no internet and no phone service. As a business owner, that means I couldn't operate, serve customers, or conduct business. This has caused a significant financial loss. The most frustrating part is that this wasn't an emergency--it was planned. Whoever decided to perform this maintenance during business hours showed a complete lack of consideration for businesses that depend on their services. There are 16 other hours in the day when this work could have been done with far less impact. I also spoke with Kim, a supervisor, regarding Work Order #685702. Rather than showing any concern or empathy for the financial hardship this outage caused, she was condescending and dismissive. It was clear she had no interest in helping or taking ownership of the situation. Comcast's poor planning, lack of communication, and disregard for its business customers are unacceptable. I will be requesting compensation for the revenue my business lost because of this preventable outage. After this experience, I'll be seriously looking into switching providers. If Verizon can provide more reliable service and treat its business customers with greater respect, they'll be getting my business instead.
