Then, at the five minute mark they called me again saying they took a wrong turn and would be at my location in seven minutes which then turned to ten. I waited over an hour and once the technician finally got the lock off he said it would be $120. Then when i handed him the cash he said it was also $29 for the service fee and I said you didn't tell me this, you quoted $80-$120 which I gave you and he practically harassed me for the $29 service fee but honestly it was him just swindling me and he got his instant karma because he couldn't get the lock off his drill, or got stuck! I first called Gordon for an estimate on installing a Schlage touchscreen deadbolt because he has a lot of deals on Angie's List and I wasn't sure which would be the most cost-appropriate. We exchanged a few quick text messages so I could send him pictures of our existing lock and of the hardware that we wanted to have installed, figured out pricing (super reasonable!!), and agreed on a 2-hour window for him to come out. He called me about an hour beforehand, was on time, a super nice guy, was great navigating my two toddlers and our dog while performing all of the work. We also wanted to have a new handle installed to match the deadbolt but he explained that we would need a carpenter to do some patchwork first on the door and recommended someone he uses in case we decide to move forward with that -- I would of course then have Gordon install the new hardware on the inside and outside of the door. I quickly realized after he left that the exterior push-button latch wasn't working and called him the following morning and he quickly and simply walked me through how to make the adjustment and now everything works perfectly!! There's not much else I can say about Gordon other than as a new homeowner, I will definitely be calling Bonded Lock Service Inc any time I need a locksmith and will more than be recommending him to anyone within his service range -- I imagine he'll travel, too, since he seems like such a sincere and honest tradesman. He is probably the first professional I've found on Angie's List and if others are as good as him, then I'll be a very happy camper. Thanks again Gordon!!

Even a dealership wanted a fortune to get it made by the manufacturer with a long wait for delivery. Then I spotted X Locksmith in the halls of the Watertown Mall, just across from the Registry. I was not expecting a positive answer, especially since the "shop" isn't even a building. It's a couple of counters and a display case. They service all kinds of sexy newer cars, but they did not for a second hesitate to help with my "old lady" car. I recently lost one of my keys and decided to get a couple of replacements. George is still terrific. No problem that it's an older car. In less than an hour he cut and programmed two new keys and even threw in an extra manual key so I would have a "backup." Well I didn't hear from a SINGLE ONE! So I saw an add for Champion which said emergency service 25/7 so I called. Someone (very friendly) answered by the second ring. He told me someone would be at my place within a half hour. The locksmith showed up about 20 minutes later and was able to get me in my apartment within seconds! The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 was because it was pricey. I was expecting it to be between $50 and $100 based on what I know friends have paid, but Champion charged $125. I can't complain, they were the only ones who showed up and the service was excellent! If your life is on hold, what's an extra 25 bucks. Thank you Champion Locksmith!
