I've used a locksmith on 2 other occasions, so by experience alone, I expected the standard excuses when they got here , quoted one price over phone I bought the key fob used on eBay. That's always not a problem till they get to your home and suddenly figure out for the first time how difficult it's going to be, off course you get the real price in person after wheel you in with Quote over phone .but it was a used vw key fob told myself shit does go wrong sometimes when order used replacement parts . So I was expecting a price change . ASHI HISDAY And another guy show up right on time from UNLOCK BOSTON LOCKSMITHS they got right to work these guys were 100% Professionals they answered all my questions happily with no hesitation . They were right on time and their quote was right on the money. I actually tipped them and that was a first . My apology for this long review but finally car runs starts RIGHT UP, UNLOCKED BOSTON LOCKSMITHS DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO , THEY SHOWED UP ON THE SAME DAY ON TIME ,THEY Stuck to their original quote No one was able to beat their price . I wanted to make a copy of my 2015 Acura key fob in case I lost the one I have. I like to be prepared. What I learned is its not like the old days where you walked into a locksmith and gave her a couple of dollars for a duplicate. I browsed the internet and found a key fob that was the same as mine, that took a while. Once I had it in my hand I tried to learn how to duplicate my fob. After many attempts I gave up. I then tried to find a locksmith that could duplicate a fob. I called and emailed many, most never returned my call or email. Then I tried UnlockBoston. They answered my call, understood what I wanted, had no problem with the fact I purchased the fob online. They came to my home looked at my fobs and opened their toolbox and went to work. They copied my fob, explained how it worked, accepted a credit card and were a delight to talk to during this whole operation. I am now prepared to recommend them to my friends and family so they to can have duplicate fobs. You don't want to be in a rush and realize your missing your keys. [ I am not from SanFran...I'm from Weymouth...not sure why it says SF]...On a Saturday night, I lost a key fob in a heavily wooded area...and I was locked out of my car in a very remote parking lot. I called Unlock Boston. I was given a great price to drive out to my car, open it, and make me a new key on the spot - and we agreed on a price before I made the appt. Daniel showed up. He open the car without damaging the door in about 3 minutes. He made a key in probably under 10 minutes. Daniel was extremely friendly and was able to charge my credit card on the spot. I can't say enough about how happy I was with the response ...especially since it was very late on a Saturday night. I know the price was good because I've tried to buy a programmed key from a dealership... and that would have cost more than Daniel charged me ( but obviously Daniel did way more than just sell me a key ). Asher was fantastic! The key to my Honda Accord wouldn't start the car. I initially had it towed to a car shop that told me it would cost $700 to fix it and it would take several days. Asher showed up within an hour or so and fixed it within an hour or so! And the price was 1/3 of what the car shop quoted me! I was also walking with small children while the car was being fixed so he said he'd call me once it was done so I didn't have to wait there at the site. Very considerate.
