Well I didn't hear from a SINGLE ONE! So I saw an add for Champion which said emergency service 25/7 so I called. Someone (very friendly) answered by the second ring. He told me someone would be at my place within a half hour. The locksmith showed up about 20 minutes later and was able to get me in my apartment within seconds! The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 was because it was pricey. I was expecting it to be between $50 and $100 based on what I know friends have paid, but Champion charged $125. I can't complain, they were the only ones who showed up and the service was excellent! If your life is on hold, what's an extra 25 bucks. Thank you Champion Locksmith!

On Friday morning, the first employee took the locks apart, realized he didn't have the part to finish the job and put the locks back together. He said that this part normally would cost $30 more but that he would do it for the quoted price on Monday. Ok, that happens. But when I went to leave, the handle fell apart in my hands. Many, many hours later, they sent another employee to fix the handle who was actually able to do the job that the first guy couldn't. Great, right? Problem is, I was charged more than twice the quoted price and was told I should take it up with the office but that I had to pay it. I said that HE should call the office (surely he had some way to reach them, even at 10:00pm on a Friday--and yes, I had been stuck at home all day) but he refused. I pointed out that the first guy hadn't mentioned anything more than a potential $30 difference. Nope, I had to cough up the $200. (Or, rather, my boyfriend did, just to get the guy to leave.) So I contacted the office and couldn't get any phone call or email back. The guy not only one hour late than he promised on the phone, also charged me $200 to replace a broken key fob Inner chip (not include the outer shell) It took him less than 10 minutes to program the key fob, and he said, if I want to copy a key, it would be $210 for the key, and $210 for the key fob. Total would be $420 for a car key. I think it's a rip off. If I am willing to pay for such high price, I would go to the dealership. They did come to my house for the service, but it still too expensive. It's better to find a locksmith store and go there in person.
