In this line of business it seems exploitative to hide your costs until they are on site. Furthermore, he charges a 3.5% cc fee unless you leave him a review...while he waits. I did not agree to this strong arm strategy and ultimately he waived the cc fee. Point is, ask up front for costs and look elsewhere unless you're in a dire pinch.

Even a dealership wanted a fortune to get it made by the manufacturer with a long wait for delivery. Then I spotted X Locksmith in the halls of the Watertown Mall, just across from the Registry. I was not expecting a positive answer, especially since the "shop" isn't even a building. It's a couple of counters and a display case. They service all kinds of sexy newer cars, but they did not for a second hesitate to help with my "old lady" car. I recently lost one of my keys and decided to get a couple of replacements. George is still terrific. No problem that it's an older car. In less than an hour he cut and programmed two new keys and even threw in an extra manual key so I would have a "backup." Kenny's Locksmiths is fabulous. I attempted to give my original front door a makeover and pulled…read moreapart the locking system. After destroying most of the lock it was clear that this was not an ordinary lock and that I was in over my head. The door was original to the house (circa1928) and the lock was original to the door and almost irreplaceable. No standard lock would fit the door. Called Kenny's and they sent Liam out that day! He reviewed the situation, which was dire because I had no front door lock. The problem was that the original lock was so old and hard to find that it would be very expensive to replace. Liam was great! He made sure that I had a secure deadbolt on the door temporarily while he took the antique lock with him to figure out "the puzzle". Three days later he came back and had rebuilt the lock with other parts. Installed within a few minutes - with new brass fittings (which was my original intent) and everything works wonderful. I can't say enough about their customer service and the reasonable pricing. Very grateful to Liam for his perseverance and attention to detail. Highly recommend Kenny's Locksmith!
