Each of these companies gave us ball park numbers and went away promising quotes to come One company came out and looked everything over, they were the only company to actually go into the crawl space to see what was done wrong 30 years ago. When the guy was finished looking at every single piece of our existing system, he sat on our steps with a quote sheet and a calculator. He gave us three price point quotes on the spot. That person was Mike from Bryant Service Heating and Air from Baltimore, Ohio. On top of that, replacement requirements for our home, built in the 50s and AC added in the 80s, is a challenge. The three non-impressive quote guys either had no clear idea how to overcome the challenge our system has and wanted to strip our utility space and start over. Mike looked the challenge over and came up with a simple solution. Choosing Bryant Service Heating and Cooling was an easy choice. He showed up in the time window expected on the first day and early the second. After the installation, he stayed long enough to make sure the new system was working. They could have put a bandaid on it, but were very honest about a need for a replacement. I thought this would take a few days, but they were ready on Friday to replace it completely. The young men who come out were extremely respectful and even helped keep my cats inside while they went in and out for parts. During and after install, they asked to use my vacuum and cleaned up the whole area, even asking at one point if a spot in my living room was from them. They had the price based on them doing a complete install for my sons home, which wasn't the situation. They sent out another technician (Blake) who had a device that allowed him to locate the leak. It was in the cooling system and the unit needed to be replaced. The next day they found the cooling system was under warranty, located a system locally and then installed it. They gave me a quote for the labor which the warranty did not cover. Matt came out that evening and installed the new cooling system. All three technicians were outstanding and knowledgeable and were courteous and did their jobs. Matt who installed the new system was the best technician I have ever seen. Great company with great employees. They did not try to upsell you on anything and even their office researched and found and coordinated the warranty process for us. Our a/c unit was only two years old in a new build house.
