I have worked with Best exclusively for almost 20 years. Two homes, an investment property,…read morerepairs, installs, checkups, we've done it all through Best. We have a 2200 sf ranch with a full finished 2200 sf basement. When finishing the basement they rebuilt all the ventilation to code, so, it is some of the nicer space in the house! They installed a 6 zone system which supplies the main areas evenly throughout both floors. It is efficient, cost effective, and we are very comfortable. Technicians have always been on time and courteous. Working with owner's Russ and Cookie is always a delight. Update: Our AC died in August. Lovely timing. We needed to replace the entire system to get the newer coolant standard. Once again Russ and his install team were excellent, courteous and thorough. Very happy with our new AC, even though we only had a month to enjoy it!

My furnace started having issues early Wednesday morning, they were able to come look at it on…read moreThursday and determined it was over 40 years old. They could have put a bandaid on it, but were very honest about a need for a replacement. I thought this would take a few days, but they were ready on Friday to replace it completely. The young men who come out were extremely respectful and even helped keep my cats inside while they went in and out for parts. During and after install, they asked to use my vacuum and cleaned up the whole area, even asking at one point if a spot in my living room was from them. It wasn't, I had been crafting and a few small pieces of paper found their way to the floor. But they would have cleaned it up if I didn't insist it wasn't them. I highly recommend this company. Family owned and operated, and went above and beyond my expectations!

I originally called Flanery about three weeks ago, and the owner/tech came out and we went over the…read morescope of work. Which was the following: A) Removal of existing Pioneer 12k mini-split system (Depressurization/capture of r410a). B) Finalize the installation of new 4 zone 30k mini-split (draw vacuum, leak test, and charge). C) Re-install Pioneer system at my sons home a TBD date. A couple of days later the quote came back extremely high at $3500. I immediately called to clarify what the scope of work was that they were quoting. They had the price based on them doing a complete install for my sons home, which wasn't the situation. Once we had the scope clarified, we scheduled items A and B listed above, and had a good working price quote. This morning they showed up and completely forgot our conversation about the actual scope. After a brief conversation to refresh the owner/techs memory, he looked at me, and said not interested, and packed up and left! It was shocking that the service call ended like that. Very disappointing.

I had an emergency gas leak that required a gas line repair, and it was honestly one of the…read morescariest and most nerve-wracking situations I've dealt with especially since it happened in the middle of freezing temperatures in January here in Ohio. We were without gas, heat, and warm water for the entire weekend, which made an already stressful situation even more frustrating and time-consuming. From the moment I called Five Star Home Services, I was met with urgency and care. The employee I spoke with over the phone immediately understood the seriousness of the situation and pushed me to the front of the line to ensure a technician arrived as quickly as possible. That alone brought a huge sense of relief during a very overwhelming moment. Austin arrived and was absolutely exceptional. He calmly assessed the situation, clearly explained my options, and worked diligently throughout the entire day to try to remedy the issue. When he realized the repair couldn't be fully completed on his own, he didn't hesitate to call for backup so additional help arrived to assist, and together they fully resolved the problem. As a single woman dealing with a major home repair, I was admittedly concerned about the possibility of being taken advantage of. That was absolutely not the case here. Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable, sincere, and genuinely focused on finding the best and most appropriate solution and not the most expensive one. Austin remained professional, patient, and empathetic throughout the entire process, which made a stressful situation far more manageable. I highly recommend Five Star Home Services and would strongly encourage others to use their services. This team showed urgency, integrity, and true professionalism when it mattered most
