We had an excellent experience working with Robert from Royal Air. We were referred to Royal Air from Nest when we were looking for someone to do a more complex installation that involved both the thermostat and a humidistat. I requested several quotes but was so impressed that Robert actually used the information that I already supplied and gave me a standard quote in a very rapid timeframe. Other vendors either wanted to ask me all of the same questions again, have me fill out their own custom form, or were taking a lengthy time in their response. In addition, Robert was pleasant to work with and we scheduled the appointment over email which was very convenient. He did great quality work including installing a custom cover that I purchased. I appreciate that he did a good job cleaning up after himself (and previous technicians) as well. On top of all of that, Robert identified a problem with my air-conditioner and took extensive photos that he supplied to me so that I could turn it into my home warranty. He gave me all of the details to pass along to them to ensure that they fixed it. He also generously answered both an email (on the weekend!) and phone call question a few months after the installation about the operation of my humidifier with no request for payment. Called concerning heating issue in that the furnace was not blowing warm air and the house temp had dropped to 46 degrees. Robert said he was at another job and could not get to the house before midnight. Who keeps working past mid-night? Royal Air Technologies. He arrived about 2 hours ahead of schedule and knew exactly what was wrong. The Nest Thermostat while was correctly installed per manufactures instructions, did have a glitch (you had to select B vice O) when setting up the (O/B*) wire for certain models of heat pumps. He was able to correctly select and rewire the thermostat and almost immediately warm air was flowing. Oh and did I mention the price shocked me in that he didn't try to rip my throat for a after hours call. The price was more than fair and less than I pay for a regular maintenance call. If you want it done right at a fair price call Robert are Royal Air. This one call just got him a customer for life. read more

I needed furnace and air conditioning service as a condition to sell my home. My dad recently had service done by Robert and highly recommended him to me. I thought I'd have to wait several days for him to visit my home but he stopped by the next day. What a very personable, friendly guy! He looked at my furnace and showed me what was wrong with it (the heat exchanger was bad) and gave me options on what I should do. I took his advice and replaced the furnace. In two days of his initial service call, he was back at my house installing the new furnace. He did a fantastic job. Our air conditioning went down on a very hot and humid day. Our fuse blew as we were trying to install a new smart theromostat. Robert came to our rescue with no time to waste. He was knowledable, quick and got us up and going right away! Not only is he a fantastic technician, but his customer service was beyond exceptional! He fixed our fuse but then took his customer service to the next level by finishing up the installation process of our new smart thermostat. A friend recommended Robert to me several years ago when a large company said I needed a new furnace. Robert said I didn't and has been my AC/furnace guy ever since. I can't say what a relief it was to have Robert help me out with my Nest, Furnace, and my entire climate control system. He was available and didn't rush anything even though I called around midnight. I had a long standing relationship with a well known HVAC company, they came out and quoted me 1780 to replace a txv valve. I don't know if it was the name TXV or what (reminded me of TPS reports)....anyway that prompted me to ask a friend for a trusted source for a second opinion. He explained the issues and walked us through the repair process. He paid attention to the small details like making sure our paint did not tear and wearing shoe covers to not get dirt everywhere. Robert did an excellent job. He came to my house and installed dual nest thermostats, he was very honest and professional. I was very impressed. He was also able to hook up my humidifier to my furnace and Nest devices where I was previously using an extension cord and manually adjusting the humidity level for my house.
