After 12 tumultuous years with another HVAC company who sold, installed and serviced our furnace - and then nickeled and dimed us and tried to tell us our furnace needed replacing ASAP, we found Care Heating & Cooling on Yelp and I picked them to get a second opinion based on their Yelp ratings and reviews. They came, assessed and won my trust and business. We religiously care for and service our furnace as I don't want it to fail in the dead of winter. After looking at our furnace, Care told us that they did not see a need to replace it - that it checked out tine. We also had them service the AC unit which, knock on wood, has a been a gem and never yet failed us. They not only did the service, they made recommendations on how to maximize the cool air where it was wanted by shutting off the areas where we don't need it! I wish I would have known this was possible 25 years ago! As I freeze in the north side of the house while the hubby sweats in the south side. I work from home and my office is in the cool part and his TV room is in the south. We get direct sun that heats up that room quickly. Bottom line - this company is the bomb. He does a thorough job of checking both the HVAC and the AC. He took his time and reported to me that he found no issues with either unit. You know some expenses are coming eventually, but you never think they're coming today. Our furnace went out yesterday. I called, thinking it would take a couple of days for them to come. They were there just over an hour later, and tried to fix it, with no luck. (It was old, and had water damage from years back.) So, they recommended a new one. We checked things out, went over their options, and got a decent one, mid-range, hoping it would be in before the cold snap next week. They showed up this morning and we had heat by afternoon. Each person was professional and laid-back, not pushing sales too hard. From service to sales to install, they were great. The install guys, all of them really, dealt with our menagerie well. We paid upfront but they have financing that seemed decent, and service plans of various types. The furnace warranty is pretty good. read more

I have had inadequate cooling & loud noises outside related to the air conditioner. My ex had had Mike Rader come to his house for hvac reasons befor. Mike came & was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, & went right to work. He thoroughly assessed my system & got it working. My system is older & he didn't try to get me to buy a whole new unit, which I deeply appreciate. Mike got my system running for the $95 service fee. They do have 2 yearly programs, which offer 2 tune up each year-one for the furnace & the other for the ac. The more expensive program is deeper discounts on service calls, discount on repairs, & a bigger discount if you need to replace the unit. A TRULY top notch company. I like this company. After having had another company try to push extras on me and scare me into thinking my 8 year old furnace needed completely replaced or at the very least required an expensive repair, I called C.A.R.E. for a second opinion. They found nothing wrong with my unit and didn't even charge me for coming out. I immediately cancelled my service contract with the other company and got one from C.A.R.E. Their techs are always on time, courteous, respectful, wear booties inside my home and in about half an hour have efficiently serviced either my furnace and my AC, depending on the season. They don't try to push extra services on me and their techs give me a complete report on the status of my units before they leave. I feel C.A.R.E. is honest and will not take advantage of me (a smart woman, who does her research!). I've been with them 2 years, and am happy with their services. read more

We had been with Atlas Butler, they said our furnace needed some major work ($3000 worth), it seemed to be working fine, so we had CARE check it and found out it is in fine shape. We used a couple of other companies before Care. One was OK and one was pretty bad but Care has been great ever since the first phone call. They show up they do the job they explain things to you and they do not try to cheat you on price or sell you something you don't need. I've recommended them to a lot of people and everyone that is used them has liked them. When I first called to have my furnace replaced, I had waited a week for another company to call me back. 100% needed a new furnace and thought they would want to sell me one. I had Care Heating and Cooling come out to give me a 2nd opinion on repairs recommended by CWA tech because I didn't feel comfortable with what that tech said needed repaired...to the tune of nearly $3k! Jerrell inspected my unit, took the time to explain to me all he was doing and seeing. He even showed me what his boroscope was seeing inside my heat exchanger. He was very nice and courteous. NONE of the items the CWA tech suggested needed fixed. Jerrell even found items that should have been checked the CWA tech didn't check. I've kicked CWA to the curb. Dangerous. Care installed a new Heating and AC unit and left a gas leak inside of my house. Tech's do not have equipment to check for gas leak, had to go buy my own. Upon calling Care about them leaving a gas leak in my house, I got their answering service, who did not care what my issue was and could not even tell me when my call would be returned. Had to call again the next morning. No apology. Tech came out and fixed the issue. I had to check and see if the leak was fixed, with equipment I purchased, because the tech did not have anything. Still no apology about the gas leak. Do not use. read more

They sold me an ac unit and coil for $5000 in 2020 and it had a small leak at install. Wouldn't know it until later and now they expect me to pay to have the coil replaced again. We have had 4 service calls on a new unit. The outside unit was installed not square to the house nor level. Let alone the fact that they kept calling my wife instead of me even after updating and confirming the point of contact multiple times. Just a horrible experience!
