This company was absolutely fantastic! After dealing with a very frustrating experience with my home warranty company, I was without a furnace for about a 1.5 months. Hubbs was selected as my second contractor to diagnose my repair needs and make recommendations. "Misty" at Hubbs was wonderful and very good at keeping me informed every step of the way and letting me know the status of my order with my home warranty company. She was very professional and understanding of my frustration. Their arrival was always as scheduled. Their installers were very professional, personable, and mindful of not damaging walls and flooring during the replacement of my entire furnace. I have a warranty on my HVAC system, so I did not select Hubbs, the warranty company selected them. But I'm so glad they did!! Everyone I dealt with - in the office over the phone or in person - was incredibly nice & professional! It took awhile to get approval, from the warranty company, to replace entire unit. I had been having trouble with my air conditioning off and on for several weeks. It seems that when the tech came out it would work perfectly!! * not positive which office/location they came from, but........4.5 stars!! Hubbs has been dispatched to my home TWICE now, via my Sears Home Warranty for "annual system maintenance inspection" (a/c & hvac). The attention to detail, customer service, descriptive explanation and knowledge of each technician were as close to '5 star' as can be expected. Hopefully, "annual inspections" is ALL I'll ever need from Hubbs, but (fingers crossed) if I ever need more, they'll continue to be the company I demand. AC was down, and in the middle of summer, many places weren't calling back, or weren't able to come out until days later. Hubbs was very accommodating in fitting me in same day, thanks Keri! The technician was on time (rare quality), knowledgeable, but unfortunately the diagnosis was that I needed a replacement. It would not be worth it based on the age of the unit to replace the compressor, and I am glad he was honest and did not try to sell an expensive repair. If you're in the Pickerington area/East Columbus and having HVAC issues, give Hubbs a call. You'll actually get to talk to a human, and they have a yelp deal for the service call. read more

Wanted to get AC installed. This company told me they would call me back. Never did. Its companies like these that give the HVAC industry a bad name. I have since had a different company install my AC. I spoke to the owner of the business and he informed me that he could install customer provided equipment. I Understand the goal is to make a huge markup, but there is an all or nothing mentality when it comes to helping customers out. The$1000 he would have made on a good referral wasn't worth his time with the understanding that the warranty is not on the company. He would rather make $2500 (which i was not prepared to pay) than $1000. This is true with most Hvac companies in Columbus. The repeat business it would have brought him through qualified referrals is worth more that the $2500 one time he would have made by installing my AC. Moral of the story. DO not turn down any business! The entire installation cost was $1500 on new condenser and evaporator coil!!!! Including labor. Now that's the way to go!!! read more

CM Hubbs failed miserably. They have absolutely horrible customer service. To begin with, the technician did not arrive in the scheduled two hour window. Once he did arrive, the technician clearly did not know how to diagnose the problem. Multiple times he sent pictures of the furnace wiring on his cellphone to his office, then talked to someone there on speaker phone to help him. After the encounter, I was told he would order the replacement part then return to repair the furnace. FIVE WEEKS later I still had not heard from CM Hubbs so I called for a status update. I called at 530pm and spoke to a woman who was quite snippy with me from the beginning of the conversation. After I explained my situation she huffed "It's after hours, my computer is off" then made me wait for several minutes on hold. After verifying my name and address, she said the part had never even been ordered. Instead of apologizing for the oversight, she immediately went into a defensive speech about having staffing problems. She promised me she would call the next day to let me know how quickly the part could be ordered and to schedule a service call. The next day, surprise surprise, no one from CM Hubbs called me. I took the opportunity to call a different HVAC company who came out and fixed my furnace the same day. Someone from Hubbs did call me a few days later than promised and left a voicemail message but once again no one apologized for my wait. They did say they would "give me a good deal" but the quoted price was still more than I paid their competitor. Stay away from CM Hubbs! read more

I moved back to Ohio in 2013. I needed to have my dryer vents cleaned and called all over chillicothe and no one did this. Many handymen companies but still didn't clean the dryer vents. My late husband always felt normal cleaning of the dryer vents were important. So really wanted this done. I got a few lady friends to help before but just didn't want to move that dryer again. Had Hubbs out on my furnace and the paperwork they gave me said they clean dryer vents! Hubbs is the greatest company! The gentleman was very polite and professional. Explained what he would be doing and with what equipment. After he was done showed me the work, cleaned up his area, put his equipment away, didn't ask me for tools he has his own, which meant I wouldn't have to call the company to get my tools back. He put everything back in its place, it was like no one had moved anything. It's great to deal with a company that takes pride in their work! And the hiring of professional people! read more
