staff here are so sweet and provide great recommendations! the space is so beautiful and conducive for working, although the tables are small so would recommend either solo/pair working. love the decor and lighting, and how you can watch the whole coffee bar work. I enjoyed my cookie butter latte, the cream top and drink were balanced, I wish there was more cookie butter!

4.5 stars! This new spot has milky baklava which reminded me of tres leches but instead of cake, they have milk drenched baklava! I also tried their blueberry matcha which is nice if you prefer a sweet and creamy drink (not my favorite but there's a lot of competition for matcha in the city now). I'll have to try their coffee, chai, and other treats next time too. Service was very nice and the setting is so pretty/cozy!

Adan Cafe is such a stunning new addition to the neighborhood. I stopped by during their soft opening, and everything from the aesthetic to the menu was top-tier. The space itself is gorgeous, warm, and super inviting. It's styled with sleek beige tile, cozy arched nooks, plush bench seating, and wood accents. You can't miss the the Arabic banner that reads "Every cup has a story." It's the perfect spot whether you're catching up with a friend or bringing a laptop to get some work done. Here's everything I tried that was my favorite: Drinks -Ethiopia Iced V60 Pour Over: Exceptionally smooth and fruity. The owner hand-crafts these with exact precision right in front of you. -Blueberry Latte with Cold Foam: Perfectly layered with a delicious, sweet vanilla coffee foam top. -Banana Pudding Matcha Latte: Freshly hand-whisked ceremonial matcha with a subtle, sweet banana finish. -Mango Passion Refresher: Super crisp, tropical, and light. Food & Sweets -Turkish Baklava: Flaky, buttery, crunchy, and not overly sweet. -Rose Pomegranate Pistachio Turkish Delight: Perfectly tart pomegranate with rich pistachio and delicate rose petals. -San Sebastián Cheesecake: Incredibly soft and spongy texture, finished with a rich chocolate drizzle. The owner and staff are amazingly welcoming and passionate about what they serve. Highly recommend checking this place out while it's still in its soft opening!

Cute little cafe opened in the area where they served a wide range of drinks despite being a Turkish cafe. They also have matcha and desserts. I got a vanilla latte and it was perfect. They have a good amount of seating so would maybe come back as a place to work. Would def come back again.

    Strawberry coffee!

Absolutely loved this place! The coffee is really good, but what stood out most was how incredibly kind everyone working here was. We accidentally spilled one of our coffees on the floor, and they immediately made us a new one for free and told us not to worry about it. Seriously some of the nicest people ever! The coffee is great, the Turkish delights are fantastic, and the customer service is above and beyond. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely be coming back!

I walked in the place and couldn't stop admiring the beautiful aesthetics. The vibe is great and the people are so welcoming and friendly. I ordered a banana cream matcha which was delicious and my friends got an avocado banana smoothie and a pistachio latte. They loved it.

Really nice little cafe. The Adan and the Guatamalan pour overs were both great, and the milk cake was unique (to me at least) and tasty.

Adan is such an incredible local spot for delicious coffee and pastries. The shop is beautiful and so pleasing to the senses. Service is A+, staff is all very friendly and welcoming.

I got the Spanish Latte, it was very milky but it's a latte so it makes sense. The customer service was great! I also got an iced brown shaken espresso as welll it was half espresso half foam...the place was also very beautiful. I would come back!

There was a lot of natural light in the coffee shop, definitely a visually-appealing, 'aesthetic' place. I got an iced red tea and it was delicious. The tea was botanical, smooth and fragrant. So we got an extra drink for free. Trying the iced latte, it was pretty disappointing lol. I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

The amazing food part is mostly because of places like Sōhn and Neighbor Bakehouse. First of all, Sōhn's space is very aesthetically pleasing with so much open space with strong industrial-minimalist elements. Food just made it better. I got their very popular Galbi patty melt and because it was so good, I got another one to go for my husband. And a cup of hot tea. Wow! The Galbi patty melt was so juicy and delicious. I definitely get why they are so popular. The service was friendly as well. When I came in, the staff was friendly and asked if I was eating in or take out and directed me inside. It was very busy with a lot of people, so i opted to sit downstairs in the bar area. Enjoyed my patty melt and people watching. Located on 3rd St and 22nd St.

It was perfect for the slow, introverted energy duo. We arrived later than estimated but that is alright for the weekend meetup, so we have noticed that most of the pastries or food that we saw on yelp photos were sold out. However, they still offered the sandwich on a crispy pastry. (I chose the meat patty). It was also very popular, so there was a 15 minute line from the door. When it was our turn, the staff asked if we prefer to sit on the lounge, and to be frank, that was the spot I wanted to sit. When I saw browsing through the photos and saw the lounge space, I thought, wow, I would like to be there, so in a way, my little dream came true. When we arrived in the lounge, there were three guests sitting but near finished. In a few moments they left, so this corner was --for a good long while -- a spot to ourselves. This area had 2 couches, one large table, a small one, and 2 more comfy single sofas. It was stationed in a corner, so there was a balcony view to peer down the first floor. There was a tiny standee with the QR code, so we ordered iced lattes (it was a hot day that day) and the two patties. We also ordered a large cookie. In the order of food arrival, the sandwiches arrived first and the cookie was next. It took a while for the coffee to arrive. I remember the patty was so juicy, I was being careful not to let it drip. It was a hearty good hamburger in a way. Generally, the lounge experience was exactly what we wanted, so it was the highlight of our meetup. I recall chatting about lots of things, catching up and sharing some metaphorical tea.

After I ordered, I took a seat in the waiting area by the Togo window to wait for my order. There was plenty of tables for dining in, but they were filled so I grabbed my order to eat outside. There was a little area in the front of the store for you to eat at. Stonemill matcha has been on my radar for a long time now and I'm happy to say I was not disappointed. I ordered the matchazuke 4.5/5 and the matcha latte 4/5 and they were both delicious. The matchazuke was perfectly savory, each bite packed full of umami. The piece of salmon was seasoned nicely, not too salty and paired perfectly with the matcha. The matcha broth was so comforting, you could taste the bonito dashi they used to make it. I was worried the portion would be too small but it was pretty filling! The matcha latte had a beautiful deep green color and was creamy and not too sweet. I did noticed that it was a little grainy, which was the only thing I didnt like about this experience. My partner ordered a hojicha latte and said it was a 5/5 and it's her new favorite place to get hojicha latte in SF. I would definitely come back and try more of their menu. I'm eyeing that matcha silk pie!

The smiling server realized I was confused and pointed to the signature menu on the wall. I thought I should start basic and order the $7.25 Iced Kopi Pandan, a tantalizing mix of dark single-origin espresso, housemade pandan syrup, and almond milk over ice (Photo 8). It was delicious, maybe a tad too sweet for me as the pandan lent a pronounced vanilla-like flavor. The same flavor was more effectively applied to the $6 slice of Pandan Bread which I saw waiting for me to order on the counter (Photo 9). My first priority was to try Loquat's famous babka, but the petite pink mahlab cake was also calling my name. I selected the salted chocolate babka to enjoy at the cafe and took the mahlab cake home to enjoy later. My friend and I lucked out because a table for two opened up right as we ordered. My babka was plated on a dainty ceramic dish, which matched the old-school European cafe vibes. The babka was light and fluffy, yet the outside was crisp and buttery like a croissant. The salted chocolate layers folded into the pastry were the perfect balance of sweet and salty, and the chocolate tasted high-quality. One babka could have probably been split into two servings, especially if you want to try multiple items, but I didn't leave behind a single crumb. All around us, the other diners seemed to be enjoying a full-scale brunch with savory pastries and what appeared to be a Turkish breakfast platter. It all smelled wonderful, so I'll have to explore more of the menu on my next visit. I enjoyed the mahlab cake a day later and was amazed that it retained its delicate and light texture. The icing was lightly flavored with orange, cherry, and floral notes, and the presentation was so elegant. The cake was the perfect accompaniment to my afternoon cup of tea. While I'm on a mission to try as many of SF's bakeries as I can, I am looking forward to returning to Loquat.
