Dear Yelp Community, First time visiting this month. Cute corner shop. I enjoyed the hot cappuccino. Service tried, but slow to meet the demand of the line (why four stars). Well wishes. Sincerely, Anna

    So delicious

We stumbled upon this cute little Italian café and I'm so glad we did. It was our first time there and everything was absolutely delicious. We ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich and the avocado toast - and hands down, it was the best avocado toast I've ever had. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and you could really taste the quality. They added fresh radishes, mint, cucumbers. We also had lattes and a mocha, which were just as good. The café itself is quaint, very clean, and has such a cozy, welcoming vibe. I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu. Such a great find!

Cute little cafe in North Beach. Came over months ago with my little one (pup) and got an Americano. Also a tea pouch for later enjoyment. It was so busy that day we didn't linger like we usually do. We usually prefer to sit outside to enjoy and people watch, but on this occasion, we just took our coffee and went elsewhere. This cafe is tiny with some indoor and more outdoor sitting. Looks very busy with all the tourist on that particular day which is always lovely to see because it means business is good. Located on Columbus and Stockton.

The breakfast Bagel sub the bagel for a croissant!

Great experience here! I ordered the breakfast bagel but subbed the bagel for a croissant and it was delicious -- highly recommend. I also tried the mixed berry smoothie, which I wish was a little sweeter, but it was still good. The main guy was running the whole place and did an amazing job. I liked it so much I came back again the next day!

Felt a little like I was in Europe, sipping coffee outside on cushy sofas. The coffee & pastries were a bit pricy ($12) bit well worth it. If i lived in the neighborhood, I would add this place to my rotation.

Perfect location for a corner café in North Beach with lots of outdoor seating. Many yummy baked goods to choose from behind the counter, both savory and sweet. Limited food menu, but what they do make is yummy. Curry Potato Bourek: Flaky and airy pastry with a tiny layer of curried potato spread. Nice flavor. Not that filling, but good as a snack. Garlic Turkey Panini: Quite hearty for a sandwich! The focaccia was thick and toasted nicely into ridges the the panini machine. The cheese was generous portion with two thick slices abutting the bread on each end. Nice turkey and tomatoes in the middle. I normally don't think about getting paninis but glad I did here. Mozzarella & Basil Focaccia: I really respect the pizza hacking here. They took a tomato sauce heavy focaccia then topped with fresh mozzarella and heated to melt it a bet. Garnished with fresh basil, olive oil and black pepper. Small place, so clearly no capacity to make pizza from scratch. Tasted pretty good. Baba au Rhum: Want to end on a sweet note. The bottom part was perfect, nicely drenched with sweet rum sauce. The rest of it was a bit dry though, like it needed more syrup.

Wow, a gem. I didn't know what to expect, and this cafe surprised me about how good it was on every level. The coffee was good, the focaccia bread on the avocado toast was delicious. The breakfast bagel with eggs was incredibly tasty! I think there is some olive oil on it to keep it moist. I don't think you can go wrong here. We were salivating at the pistachio croissant!!

The owner was nice. I was short on cash and she gave me the coffee anyways and prepared it under 2 minutes. If you want speedy and quality service, don't wait to head over to Angolo.

    Turkish delight, and almond croissant
    Emily W.

Came by to have some dessert after a lunch at OJ. The almond croissant was my favorite, the Turkish delight was a little bit sweet for me, but it was perfect to pair with a coffee. Will visit for more of the almond croissant. The interior was good, It remind me of French café in France. It was more prettier to have this coffee while seeing the rain views.

Cute cafe serving real Italian Danesi coffee, conveniently located on the corner of Columbus & Stockton. Cozy atmosphere makes it good for working on your laptop or reading a book. Delicious-looking baked goods on my radar!"

Breakfast Bagel (bacon, hard boiled egg, cheese, tomato, sprouts, and fresh chimichurri)

Did a quick search for breakfast bagels in the area and came across this place! I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese expecting a NY style BEC, however that is not how it's done here! This BEC comes with hard boiled egg, fresh chimichurri, tomato, and sprouts! Despite it being the opposite of what I was expecting, i must say it was delicious and I'm happy I was able to experience something that I wouldn't normally order! The service was very fast and friendly despite there being only one gentleman working the counter! I would come back for the service alone!

An older gentleman behind the counter took my order for a small latte and was friendly and helpful in getting me situated. The café itself is small but comfortable, with a handful of tables along the wall and some interesting artwork that gives the space a little character. While sipping my coffee, I noticed they also serve ice cream, and flavors like Red Bean and Black Sesame definitely caught my attention. I managed to resist the temptation this time. A group of students and teachers arrived shortly afterward, making the café a bit livelier, so I finished my latte and headed out. Overall, it was a pleasant place to take a break in Chinatown.

It was a little too gloopy, and towards the end I didn't feel like continuing. If I were to reorder, I would not have the avocado or the spinach in the burrito, and I would have potatoes and eggs instead. Other people in the group had bagel sandwiches which were really gloopy as well (half the avocado squirted out of one), multiple napkins were ineffective at keeping it under control. They ended up using a fork. For all that, it was a little overpriced for a to-go bagel sandwich and the ingredients were not quite what was ordered via kiosk. The poke bowl needed more sauce for flavor; it barely covered the top layer of rice. Order at a touchpad. There is a seat for one inside, but it's pretty cramped. Today I thought I'd give J&J another chance. 8 months to read citicisms and get its act together. SERVICE: JOE & THE JUICE gained a bad reputation in the Bay Area pre-covid for flagrantly disregarding city law that prohibits retail businesses from going strictly cashless. For good reason: Refusing paper and coin currency is defacto segregation against Black and Brown folks and the working poor and those on a fixed income who are more likely to be restricted to cash transactions. This is an unjust policy, refusing to take "certain people's " money and in my book equals BAD SERVICE. FOOD & BEVERAGES: Upon my return to the large JOE & THE JUICE location in San Francisco's Financial District - which I used to frequent most days of the week for years before the boycott - I ordered my signature drink, Americano + extra shot of espresso with milk. Now although J&J is wildly overpriced compared to other espresso bars and snack joints, the Danish (J&J is a Denmark import and not locally owned, so maybe they don't understand how we do here in the USA) ownership refuses to provide the paying customer options between 1/2&1/2, Whole Milk, 4% Milk, etc. It carries only 2% milk which is just above lightly flavored water. I always have 1/2&1/2 with my cofffee but not at J&J, despite the high prices customers pay. I used to stock this location myself with 1/2&1/2 out of my own pocket from the Walgreens across the street, which a customer shouldn't have to do. BEVERAGES: Well my Americano, honestly, was awful. Tasted like dirty dish water. Old stale coffee bean flavor only slightly diluted luke warm water. BAD PRODUCT. SERVICE: It appears JOE & THE JUICE ownership and management are back to their old tricks again refusing cash payment. I told the manager it's city law thay accept cash payment - payment equality - and he conceded he knew this is the law. I was given the excuse the cash register just happened to be broken and they were waiting repairs, but trust me as one who knows J&J very well this is just BS: they're told to tell customers or city inspectors this and cynically keep going on with their segregationist policy. BAD. BAD. BAD SERIVICE!
