I wasn't sure how many stars to give. Our sales person Gary and project supervisor Orlando both deserve 5 stars. They were responsive, gave complete information and were quick to answer questions. I did have several project coordinators and was continually asked the same questions for things that should have been documented. I also could never get ahold of my project coordinator on the phone and often didn't get answers to questions by email. It was frustrating when I was trying to coordinate with a pool cover company. But Orlando was great and really saved this review. Without him it would be 2 or maybe 3 stars. The work looks good so I am hopeful it will last a long time before going through this again. read more

Adams Pool did plaster and tile remodel work for my existing pool. They did a pretty good job. Overall very professional company. Very responsive. Excellent communication and were always on time. My in-ground pool was leaking, primarily at the skimmer. Adams was one of four estimates I received on the work -- neither the highest or the lowest price. I selected Adams because they could confidently schedule the work. All the work was done in just under a month, which was remarkable. The on-side project manager, Curtis, was extraordinarily diligent in keeping things moving. Almost each day there was a different crew, but each crew was expert and highly experienced in doing that day's phase. They had the equipment, the materials, the expertise, and the staffing to make this all happen. There were one or two discoveries that caused some added work (and added expense), but Curtis showed me what was going on, so I was confident that I was getting what I needed. read more

This is the worst pool company. Our HOA contracted for them to refurbish not one but two pools as well as two spas. The project was only supposed to take a month or two, this was back in April of 2023. It is now August, both pools and spas are still unusable because they are not finished with the work. They seldom show up for work, and when they do, it is only for a few hours and then they disappear. The company is non responsive to calls placed, and when they do respond, they are are both aggressive and patronizing in their tone. They offer NO explanation why a two month project has stretched out past four months with no end in sight. I hope other HOAs read this review and think twice before contracting with this unprofessional business. read more

First of all, a company that has stayed in business for three generations is exceptional already. Greg Adams was our sales person and he was outstanding with answering our questions and communication. They had specific personnel for each trade and each crew was great at their trade. Communication was fantastic during the two months of reconstruction of our pool. Noreen Sumptner was excellent to work with as our Schedule Coordinator and Arsenio Villa was always available as our Field Supervisor. These guys are the real deal!!!!! read more

Adams Pool Solutions did a great job resurfacing our pool. They also redid the tile and coping. Site Manager Jeremy, Lauren, and Bradley were my points of contact. All were very easy to work with, and straight forward on price and time frames. We gave them several change orders and they accommodated without any delay. We had a commercial pool that needed an overhaul. Took 2.5 years. Covid did happen during this but even that doesn't explain how horrible the situation has been. Multiple project managers and multiple miscommunications. Now stuck with a leaking pool (they say it's not on them because it's a structural issue despite it being brand new) and a pump malfunctioning. There were a couple occasions where they communicated last minute and I had to have my maintenance handle things that added to the cost. Our time was not respected. It has been the worst contracting/customer service experience I have ever been a part of and I manage properties for a living. read more

It is my great misfortune to now be involved with a protracted pool remodel. Unfortunately my wife selected Adam's Pool to do the work. They have been camped here for going on two of months now. Occasionally a couple of guys will show up and sit in the truck until I come out. They then work for a couple hours and then leave. Now I've been told they are pulling off for three weeks. It's very frustrating to look at "ground Zero" in the back yard day after day with little progress. I have been in commercial construction for decades. The subcontractors who camp on my job site only do it once. A professional organization will schedule a job and continuously advance the process until completion. They are very professional, done every steps of the project on time. Always kept me informed Jessica Davila was very helpful as the Project Coordinator. Downgrading this review further. The plumbing wasn't done properly which has cost us additional time, money and frustration.

We had Adams redo our pool and spa that they originally did for us 25 years ago. Because of COVID, the job was delayed but it was finally done by July 4th. First problem we had was the excess of grout/pebble tech in the tile. This was not the quality I was told I'd receive. It took 3 times to get the new upgraded tile cleaned. The next problem is the very inconsistent color in the pool finishes. About 80% of the corners where the horizonal and vertical sides meet on the steps and the swim out consisting of a 2-3 " line, has a darker color and sticks out as if we choose 2 different colors. The spa has the same issues, plus the walls and flat surfaces have dark blotchy spots all over. The general manager, Chris and foreman Jose, both agreed that this is hard to get even and had a crew come out to fix it, but it was no better after they were done. Chris & Jose said this was the best they could and would get back to me and never did. I questioned the unevenness of the colors at the time of completion but the workers said that they were in a hurry and had to get to their next job. What's funny is I never saw any of these inconsistency and "hard to do" areas in their showroom. They did offer me $500 rebate for their poor workmanship for a $23,000 job. After not accepting the offer because I felt this was an insult, they will no longer return my calls or respond to my emails. Unfortunately the only option is going to court. I would not recommend them/Royal Pools like I have done many times in the past. read more

We had a leak in our pool and Adams pool was recommended to us by our landscaping contractor. Curtis came in promptly and looked at it. The scheduling took a little bit of time but the team came and fixed the leak in half a day being really cautious about breaking the wall in the least invasive way so we wouldn't have to empty the pool. We had been ghosted by another contractor before and while Curtis had never worked on our pool, he really went above and beyond to get it fixed. I am so glad they came over. Highly recommend them if you want a team that cares about their customers. read more

A deeply disappointing experience, despite the quality of the final product. We were quoted 6 weeks - and the job took 6 months, nearly 8 if you count the end point being the final inspection. A series of missteps, missed permit deadlines, inaccurate information and overall dreadful communication caused delay after delay. The subcontractors used were generally good - although messy and I had to spend nearly $2k repairing the grass around the pool area, and carting away debris. A great shame that I have to leave this low review, because the pool looks great, the pool cover is smooth and I liked our on-site person. Head office though need to get their act together, accept constructive criticism and offer a reasonable discount based on the mess above. read more

Yes, I know you're busy. But why are you so busy that you can't even show up to work one day a week ? Six or seven days of work have taken nearly three months to complete. About as unprofessional a company as I have ever worked with. Every one claims that they do not have the authority to discuss adjusting the payments due to the staggering delays between visits. But, they manage to deposit the checks in under an hour (literally). After practically begging for months to get a schedule for the work to be done, you are at the mercy of their whims since they will not provide any kind of schedule or assurance of a completion date. They only provide notice that they will deign to show up the afternoon before, but you better have check in hand there and then. I was an idiot for allowing this project to go forward. This company is obviously so greedy and unconcerned with customer satisfaction that they take on every job they can, and worry (or not) about scheduling them after they've got the money. If you don't have it in writing, you can't trust anything they say, and even then I suspect you'd need a lawyer to get them to hold up their word. It's my own fault for not insisting on dates in the contract before I signed anything. Don't repeat my mistake. Make sure dates and penalties are clearly spelled out before signing. One star for the actual work done, which was good. Minus four stars for being wildly unprofessional. read more

This is the update to my original review; I hope folks can see both versions. After I posted the original review, the warranty department sent out a tech to address the backyard lighting not working. The tech addressed the issues and we can now enjoy our BBQ and the lights in the backyard. A couple of areas of feedback: 1) scheduling department: prioritize all customers not the contractors that get to bump paying customers just because they bring more $$ to you. Our next door neighbor decided to resurface her pool 6 months after we signed our contract with Adam's. Adam's Pool resurfaced her's before ours because her contractor had priority versus us. 2) If contracts are end all be all, then be willing to put the quoted timelines by your sales folks in the contract. Any delays, Adam's Pool compensate the customer back. 3) quality of the switches: during the electrical work, cheaper circuit breakers were used, knowing that they easily trip. Saving a few $$ vs. customer satisfaction? What is the priority for Adam's pool? Our backyard lighting issue was caused by the inferior circuit breaker installation. 4) Better documentation of the materials when contracts are signed. We went out to the store 3 times. The original materials picked were not documented and we needed to re-pick them. Once chosen, the vendor was switched so we needed to re-pick the stone type and color with the new vendor. I recognize that they are busy and have more work for them. I wonder at which inflection point their lack of customer service will catch up to them? Upgraded the stars read more

We just had our 30 year old pool done and they did an AWESOME job. We didn't hold back on payments, there was no need to. Very polite, clean and professional. Got in, got the job done and got out! Adams totally "remodeled" our existing pool last year - pebble tec, tile, coping. It's awesome and they did a great job! I give Manny a lot of credit for overseeing the entire project. The scheduling was a little loose but I accept these are difficult projects to schedule. This review is really about a more recent follow-up. A crack appeared in the pool and it became significant - that sucks for sure. But, they came back and Fortino spent 3 days making the repair. He repaired the underlying plaster, replaced the coping, pebble tec and tile. We originally selected Adams in part because we believed they would honor the warranty - and they did. They did this repair as warranty work. Naomi was great to work with during this process. I have recommended Adams to friends and family and will continue to do so. read more

So happy that we decided to go with Adams pools for our pool remodel. Gary was great from the start working with us to come to an agreement. Then Jeromy was the project leader. I was able to reach him anytime I needed - great communication throughout the entire time from start to finish of getting permits. Kim was also very helpful and patient. I needed to change my tile and coping at the last minute and never felt like I inconvenienced them in the least. They made sure I was happy with my selection. Guillermo, the mason, designed a beautiful wall behind our spa - his workmanship and eye for design is excellent. Adams replaced the gunite on our pool when it began to fail after a decade or so. We chose the PebbleTec coating and then scheduled the job to begin when we were in our other home in Santa Fe so we wouldn't be disturbed by the noise of the job. They were easy to work with and communicative as well - letting me know when they ran into issues and how they intended to work them out. We did have a few kinks to work out when we got back though - some areas needed a bit of additional work for example, but they responded quickly. I deducted a star because they really create a massive amount of mess when they do a job like ours - there was dust everywhere on the property including the hardscaping around the pool, on my G Wagon and all over our deck. I had to hire someone to come and power wash all of it so it was presentable. They could make more of an effort in that regard, but overall the job was done well and for the amount we agreed on, so I am grateful for that. read more

Jose and Ygnacio showed up to help us determine how to fix our rusted pool hand railing. They did our pebble tech install and are not even the people who installed the railing so technically not even their responsibility. But they came out, got into our cold pool to remove the railing, clean the rust, show us what was wrong and put it back...all free of charge. Not the experience we expected. We were aware from the start that there was an increase in demand for new and remodeled pools, so we knew that there would be delays and rescheduling on our project. However, communication was pretty much non-existent and the excuse we were given was that the company was overwhelmed with the number of projects they had taken on. That's not an acceptable excuse. Very unprofessional. They did construction work on the hot tub and in the process made the pool and hot tub dirty and didn't clean after themselves. When called, they said they are not responsible for grout to fall in the pool in the process and they can't do anything about it!!! Basically it's part of the process and they couldn't take any prior measure to take care of "inevitable"! I call this nonsense. And more so the guy on the phone was extremely rude about it. How about laying a tarp for instance. My pool water is dirty and I have a pool party coming up so extremely unsatisfied. read more

We just had our final inspection of our spa by the City of San Jose. Sergio was here, as well, to oversee the inspection. My husband and I wanted to let you know that we were so very pleased and impressed with Sergio. He is so kind and patient and answered all our many questions throughout the process. We began the process with Todd Pickett back last fall, so it has been a process. Todd was a good salesman, from the start. He also answered our initial questions until the project was turned over to Sergio. Sergio was excellent in walking us through the city requirements for our gates and for the various alarms required. Sergio always answered my text messages in a timely fashion, thoroughly covering questions and concerns. I really appreciated his quick responses. He went over and above to help us with any "problems" and always was here, at least at the beginning, when any work was being performed on site. He communicated with me before coming to our home, as well as on the day of any appointment. Sergio is very personable and it was great fun chatting about pools, spas and families. He takes great pride in his work and strives to please. He is a very good representative for Adams Pool Solutions. They installed the original pool in 1961, I was given the plans and other paperwork when we moved in. In 2002 they installed a Pebble-Tec surface for us which has been great. Recently we wanted to freshen up the surface and they suggested an acid wash, which brought back "just installed" look of the pebbles! Very happy with their service, both back office and on-site. I needed to have my hot tub filter replaced. The representative was friendly, answered all my questions, sent me information filter specs and helped me identify which filter would best meet my needs. The filter was installed professionally and quickly. How to do regular filter maintenance was clearly explained as well as what products I needed to keep the water in my redwood hot tub clear and clean. Highly recommend. read more

The most important thing to consider for this project was the final outcome of the pool remodel. Sure there were delays and rescheduling, but during this period when there was an increase in demand for new and remodeled pools, I understood especially when explained by the staff. Peter Crevelli was my project supervisor who did an outstanding job communicating with me on all aspects of the project from beginning to end, always in a polite and friendly manner. Those of you who live within his jurisdiction will be very lucky. Once I was on Adams Pool Solutions contract, I was kept on schedule as best as possible. Some delays were not at fault by Adams Pool. As I was a "hands-on" person, I saw that there were different crews (about 10) doing each phase of the remodeling. Each crew was a specialist in their specific task. They did not cut corners. Although I had a specified contract, after talking with Peter and some of the crew, I did some additional upgrades which I didn't think it was possible. The extra costs were well spent. I never heard of a Baja Shelf and never knew the pool can be made more shallow. The pool now is very kid-friendly and great for non-swimmers. Almost no possibilities of adult drowning. Pool depth is perfect for aerobics at any age, especially the elderly. Our pool remodel was personalized by adding mosaics which include turtles, dolphins, fishes, a seahorse, crab and starfish. Could not be happier and the project would not have been the same without the help from Peter Crevelli. read more

It's now a month and I have reached out to Gary by phone and email. Unfortunately I think he is either sick or has quit his job because I don't see any other reason for him not to take 5 minutes and respond to a phone or email. We bought a house in Concord in November with a somewhat decrepit 40yr old pool. The plaster was shot and there were cracks in it. We got multiple estimates and decided to go with Adams. As soon as we were in contract, I wanted to start getting estimates so that the pool could operational by summer. The first thing that impressed me about Adams was that most of the pool companies told me that they didn't want to waste their time giving me an estimate untill the I had the keys because the sale might fall through. I understand that. But Todd from Adams came out and spent some time with me, gave me a little education about the pool, and worked up an estimate. After the sale was done I continued to get estimates while we decided what to do about the pool. We were either going to do a really comprehensive backyard renovation, and replace the pool deck and add a spa, or just do a mini renovation and get the pool open for this summer, and do the big renovation in 3yrs after we had spent time in our new house. Again Adams stood out here. While all of the many pool contractors we talked to were very interested in having me as a customer if I hired them for a big 100k+ backyard and pool remodel, they were alot less excited about doing a 30k smaller pool renovation for me. Adams was just as interested in us as a customer either way. It is very likely that when we are ready in about 3yrs to turn this into our dream pool, we'll come back to Adams for the big job. All through the process communication was exceptional. From Todd our sales guy, to Victoria our project manager, to Mark our site supervisor. Mark made some suggestions about the renovation that were different then what we originally intended, and we are very happy that we listened to him. Now the summer is here and we love our pool. The first time finally was showing signs of calcium and the return line cracked during an earthquake requiring the drains and return line to be replaced. I did have some challenges with Adams, but they responded following owner, Tony Adams, policy, to make sure that the customer is satisfied and happy with the work. That they did making me a very happy camper with a beautiful pool. If I could add a picture, I would. I had honestly thought it was deleted as the company reached out and let me know they would install and cover the price of the pump they had never mentioned at proposal and contract signing. Doesn't appear I can delete so have to update. They did come out and install but u have yet to clean the lumuneers and test them since adding the filter and will consider upgrading review to 4 star upon seeing they work properly. Overall the project manager we worked with really made the difference and were happy he was at least on our side or made us feel like it at least. read more
