I debated between a four vs. five star review, but I think that Adams has earned a five... We recently finished redoing the plumbing, plaster, tile, and coping on a very old pool. We had a great experience working with our salesperson, Greg. He is a very nice guy, went out of his way to meet us at the showroom in Pleasanton after hours, was extremely knowledgeable about all the materials we needed to choose among, and made solid recommendations while taking our budget into consideration. We had an even better experience with our project manager, Miguel. He is also a great guy and a pleasure to work with. He patiently answered our many questions, and was careful to review the work being performed simultaneously by a deck contractor to make sure all pool-related steps were followed correctly. He would send more than one text about a topic to make sure we didn't forget to do things that were our responsibility. His attention to detail and extensive communication meant we never had any delays, the project was done properly, and we passed all inspections. When we had to push out timelines and reschedule dates due to the concurrent deck project, that was never a problem. All of the other people who worked on the project (masonry professionals, plumbers, plaster removers, those who built a new "Caribbean shelf," those who laid the surface, those who came to do the start up), were all very friendly, professional, and did excellent work. Two points of frustration: 1. Communication with the office about timelines, permits, change orders, etc, was often confusing and/or lacking in detail. The person sending them was pleasant to work with, but needs training to help her communicate with customers who don't know a lot about pool remodels (more detailed emails/spelling out of things/defining professional terms). Generally a higher level of hand holding/customer service from the office would be nice. 2. We made an assumption when contracting with Adams that everything we had in our old pool would be included. A pool light was not included, and we almost missed the window in which it could be installed. We needed to request a change order and incurred a fairly expensive charge that we hadn't budgeted for. It was on us to catch that before signing the contract, but it would have been nice if that was pointed out to us at the beginning. Overall, our new pool is absolutely stunning and the craftsmanship is top quality. The project was completed on time, even though it took place over winter. We definitely recommend working with Adams. read more

I would give zero stars if that were an option. This review goes out to anyone that is taking on a project and needs a pool contractor. Do NOT use this company. We have had nothing but problems and empty promises for the last few months. The first issue we discovered was that our tile was never ordered in January. I found this out after hounding Todd for months for a tile sample. For some reason he could not get a tile sample. He finally was able to get the tile sample but in the wrong shape. Ok, that works as long as we can see the tile color and finish. He also kindly let us know it would take an additional 6 WEEKS if we still want this tile. Of course, we want this tile, that is why we gave you the specs in January. Todd then offered alternative tile options. He was going to send us samples but it would take two weeks. Shipping from Pleasanton - Woodside..hmmm Stage Coach? Also, he let me know if we selected one of these tiles options, the tile would take 4 weeks wait time to be fabricated. At this point due to Todd's mistake we are delayed either 4 or 6 WEEKS. Time to cancel my son's graduation party. We decided to go to the tile store ourselves and look for readily available tile options. What do you know, the tile sample Todd sent us is readily available. In fact they said we could take ALL the tile home that day. This was almost 3 weeks ago. Wow, construction 101. We are still waiting for Adam's to receive this tile ( it's been two weeks and our coping is still being manufactured. ( another long month) Installation was schedule for today, but they had someone in the office who we have never spoken to send our GC an email saying " sorry coping not ready and tile not at office yet." I could go on and on about all the calls, emails and frustration, but please let me save you the trouble of using this company you will wish you hadn't. From one consumer to another you will be made empty promises, and the owner doesn't respond either. We have waited 4 years to do this project and Adam's pools has not delivered at all. In fact, they have made an easy pool project a nightmare. I think this is my first YELP review. Which shows how strongly I feel about letting consumers know how Adam's handles business. RUN ....and find people that handle business professionally. read more

I recently had my 30-year-old pool resurfaced by Adams Pool Solutions, and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. From start to finish, their professionalism, communication, and attention to cleanliness were absolutely top-notch. The team at Adams Pool Solutions was not only professional but also deeply knowledgeable and dedicated to their work. The site manager, Miguel, was very responsive and took pride in his work. He took the time to explain every aspect of the resurfacing process, ensuring I was fully informed and comfortable with the plan. They even fit us into an earlier opening so our pool could be completed more quickly. Adams Pool Solutions' regular communication was a standout feature. The project coordinator, Nithzia, and Miguel both kept me informed of the progress and any necessary adjustments throughout the project. Their availability to answer my questions, whether by phone or email, and their efforts to keep me in the loop at every stage gave me peace of mind and made the process low-stress. I was particularly impressed with how clean they kept the work site. Pool resurfacing can be a messy job, but the crew took extra care to minimize dust and debris. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day and left my property in pristine condition when the project was completed. Overall, Adams Pool Solutions exceeded my expectations in every way. My pool looks fantastic, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend them to anyone considering a pool resurfacing project--you won't be disappointed! read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Adams Pool for a comprehensive pool renovation project, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. The project involved resurfacing the pool, installing new pool lights and drains, and updating the plumbing. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional, largely due to the outstanding work of their employees, Nithzia and Santiago. Nithzia and Santiago demonstrated remarkable professionalism, skill, and dedication throughout the entire project. The quality of their work is evident in the stunning final result--our pool looks brand new and functions perfectly. The resurfacing is flawless, the new lights add a beautiful ambiance, and the updated plumbing and drains work seamlessly. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the fantastic job your team did in replastering our pool. The entire experience was nothing short of exceptional, and we are thrilled with the results. From the very beginning, Steve, our salesperson, and Jose, our project manager, were incredibly responsive and helpful. They assured us that we could call or text anytime with questions or concerns, and their support made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I would also like to give a special shoutout to Geronimo for being so courteous and maintaining a clean work environment. Armando and his crew were diligent and efficient in removing the old plaster, and their hard work did not go unnoticed. Jesus, the masonry expert, displayed top-notch professional workmanship that truly impressed us. Finally, Martin and his crew worked quickly and skillfully to complete the replastering, and the end result is absolutely beautiful. Our yard and pool were treated with the utmost respect by everyone involved. Thank you once again for the outstanding service and for transforming our pool into a stunning space. We are extremely satisfied and will gladly recommend Adams Pool Solutions to anyone in need of pool services. read more

I'm writing this to let others know that our experience with Adams Pool Solutions was more than just excellent. They went above and beyond to fix and work with our problem pool. Our pool is not out the back door or yard. It sits a the top of a hill almost strait up 68 steps. Our concern was not just the cost of repair but the cost of labor and getting equipment up the hill. Everyone who just walks up there is huffing and puffing even without carrying anything, however it's set in complete privacy in beautiful surroundings. This never even fazed them. They reassured us that they were capable of the job and have handled many pools over the years with far bigger problems than ours. They were very patient with us on color, design, and last minute adjustments. Their workers were professional, fast and never complained. They kept the site clear and maintained. Best of all the cost was well within our budget. They made all the worry of this project melt away with their professionalism. We would be happy to show the work to those in our area who Adams S P would like to bring by and we would be able to show the step by step process that we took pictures of for our records. Thank you Adams Pool Solutions for a dream come true....The Beach Family. read more

Everything went perfect, starting with the proposal by Todd and the repairs by four different crews working furiously and professionally. The project was managed very well by Jose Gonzales meeting the target complete date albeit the weather was not always on our side in February winter rain season here in San Jose. The stripping crew of three headed by Hermant showed up on time getting the job done on schedule. They set up a tent over the pool to capture the dust from the powerful hydroblaster tools to minimize my backyard getting dusted. The crack Repair team headed by Raymundo handled the most labor intensive work over two days and completed the task professionally as well. The masonry team headed by Jaime were very efficient in installing tiles at waterline as well as for the trims, no errors perfect job. The last but not least the team of 10 for plastering headed by Ricardo all members were very well synchronized in terms of the respective work assignments getting the Job perfect one time on schedule. Karie did a perfect job in Mastic installation. I am so grateful to each and every one for the whole project for their professionalism and getting the respective assignments beautifully done to my ultimate satisfaction! Gene read more

I have never written a review anywhere, but I am writing this one because a company should not be able to get away with providing their clients with such poor experiences, after earning 10s of thousands of dollars. Adams just finished our pool renovation. The pool work, from my limited experience (I mean, how many pools have I redone in the past?), seems fine, and the workers were fine for the most part. My beef is with the management, particularly this one guy, who the workers, some of whom while shaking their heads and rolling their eyes, told me is a member of the ownership family. After we signed the contract, their customer support was awful. Much of the schedule, which they proposed, were missed. Towards the end, when I am begging them to finish just so that I can stop dealing with them, they didn't clean up their mess, until our city person got involved and wouldn't issue the permit for the pool until they "stopped taking advantage of their clients." I don't know if my experience with Adams was an exception, I don't know if other pool people are better, but holy moly, I do not want to deal with Adams (maybe it's just one guy there who's messing it up for everyone?) again. read more

We recently completed a major pool remodel with Adams Pool Solutions, and the results exceeded our expectations. It truly looks like a brand-new pool, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and professional. The quality of workmanship was outstanding, with great attention to detail throughout the project. What really stood out was how responsive and easy the team was to work with. They communicated clearly, answered questions quickly, and kept us informed every step of the way. A special thank you to our project manager, Jose Gonzalez, who was exceptional throughout the entire remodel. Jose was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly responsive. He made sure every detail was handled, kept the project moving on schedule, and always took the time to address any questions or concerns. His communication and commitment to customer satisfaction made the experience stress-free and enjoyable. It's not always easy to find a company that delivers both excellent craftsmanship and great customer service, but they did exactly that. We highly recommend them to anyone considering a pool remodel or upgrade. read more

Our "pool remodel/rebuild" was a major project, with many steps and multiple specialty crews involved. Adams pulled it off very successfully. I found their work to be organized, methodical, consistently high quality, and have no doubt that we selected the right company for the job. I have three suggestions for prospective customers: 1. Get to know your project "manager/coordinator". They have done this many times and are in their job because they understand and empathize with the homeowner. They are your best friend. 2. Listen to Adams Pool personnel comments. They've seen it done all kinds of ways and know the pros and cons of each approach. 3. Don't overreact to minor schedule changes. The weather, availability of materials, sick children, and all kinds of things happen during construction. Trust Adam's Pools. If they don't show up on a day the projected, know that they are working behind the scenes to do their best. Enjoy the process. You'll love the result. read more

I would not recommend Adams Pool Solutions to anyone. They failed to arrive on the promised date and did not respond to my emails. When I escalated the issue to the General Manager, he simply deferred the problem back to the unresponsive Project Manager. Despite being copied on all emails, the General Manager has not acknowledged or addressed the issue. The only reliable aspect of their service was their promptness in collecting payment for each phase of the job. What was supposed to be a six-week project took nearly five months to complete. A year later, the pool still has major issues. The drain pipe was installed too high, creating a dangerous suction risk. After repairs, the pool continues to leak. They sent a leak detection company, but the problem persists. We reached out to Adams Pool Solutions in February 2024, and it is now August 2024 with no resolution in sight. The pool and jacuzzi, completed in May 2023, remain problematic. read more

Adams Pool Solutions in Pleasanton exceeded our expectations and we had a first in class experience. They built our pool and spa in Ripon, CA and the entire process was handled professionally from start to finish. Bryant Harris designed a beautiful pool and spa for us and was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the selection process. He listened to the vision my wife and I had and made what could have been an overwhelming process feel easy and well thought out. All of the crews were extremely professional and so efficient. We loved how their work was clean, respectful of our property, and clearly took pride in their work. It's not easy having a construction project at your home, but their team made it as smooth and stress-free as possible. As mentioned before they exceeded our expectations and created a beautiful pool! We would highly recommend Adams Pool Solutions to anyone looking to build or remodel a pool. read more

My pool was constructed in an area with clay soils that expand and contract seasonally. This has caused cracks in my pool through the years. The latest cracks were leaking severely and I decided to do a different approach to the repair. I'm a civil engineer and came up with a multi-phase repair design. Although this was not a usual approach, I was pleased that Greg Adams was willing to take it on. This project also involved a second contractor whom I hired for portions of the project. Adams' employees Santiago Gonzalez and Martha Sandoval worked effectively to maintain the schedule by coordinating with my other contractor's work. Throughout the project, all of the employees were competent, neat, and very cooperative as we made necessary adjustments during the construction phase. I've used Adams in the past, and will use them again, if needed. read more

I wanted to share some great news with you regarding the completion of our pool resurfacing and tile replacement project. My wife and I are absolutely thrilled with the final results, and we have enjoyed a wonderful summer by the pool. I wanted to express our sincere appreciation for Curtis Boucher's exceptional supervision throughout the entire project. Curtis was an absolute pleasure to work with, and his expertise and guidance made the entire process smooth and comprehensible. His assistance in securing the Building Permit approval was invaluable. Please convey our appreciation to the entire team at Adams Pools Solutions. We are immensely grateful for their outstanding work and would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone in need of pool-related projects in the future. read more

We were extremely happy with our experience in resurfacing our pool with Adams Pool Solutions. From our initial consultation with Mark Adams to our administrative work with Lauren Rivera to the demo and construction supervision by Jose Gonzalez, we found the process to be seamless, transparent, and efficient. We were impressed by the talented team of masons, plumbers, electricians, and other technicians for their detailed and cleanly work. And as a bonus, we had seasoned professionals Bill Egan and Joe Eula help make the pre-plaster and final inspections a breeze. The results are stunning, and we couldn't be happier. I give Adams Pool Solutions my highest recommendation, and while I don't expect to need their services again soon, I would hire them again without reservation. read more

Adams Pool Solutions Pleasanton resurfaced and repaired my spa. It was a seamless process, on time and on schedule. Santiago, the project manager, was the ultimate professional, detailed, and made absolutely sure that the job was done to my satisfaction. He managed his team's schedule to ensure that my job would be done in a shorter time span than originally agreed. In today's world, custmer service is generally a lost art. However, Santiago and his team took pride in providing excellent customer service and ensured that I was happy and satisfied with the job performed at their high standard. He communicated clearly each step of the way, so that expectations and goals were met. I am extremely happy with the results and I highly recommend Adams Pool Solutions. read more

We were in need of remodeling an old pool and we settled on Adams Pool. Shoutout to Mike, our estimator, who provided insight into the approach we should take and helped with the initial design process (we added a spa). The entire process was straightforward and we were kept in the loop and were always able to get in touch with one of our contacts: Jessica and Peter. Jessica was our project coordinator who helped get tasks scheduled and provide updates. Peter was our site manager and was very knowledgeable and always available to help us if we had questions or needed clarification. I would say that Peter went above and beyond when he provided quality of life suggestions to improve the swimming pool experience. read more
