Not only is all of my bedroom furniture broken or missing pieces but they also called us liars and are arguing with me about what is broken. I moved with this company on Saturday 02/01. It was two younger men who instead of carefully taking apart my furniture just started taking things apart and not accounting for anything. We had to help them empty their moving truck, they did not mount my tvs as they said, my bed is missing a piece they did not look for, my head board was attached wrong and is coming apart, my dresser leg broke and they acted as if they fixed it. My dresser actually fell on me and i had to scream for help, my nightstand is mirrored and now shaky, not to mention my dresser is originally $900.00. they went into our refrigerator and helped themselves to our beverages, they called us liars, they only followed up when i said i am going to write this review and now they went from saying they will give me $100 back to saying nothing is broken. I had to go to home depot to buy screws and hire a new handyman to fix all their mistakes including leave my job early. please see how they respond to customers, truly unprofessional. These guys were everything I was hoping for! They communicated very well, they were clear on the expectations (IE knowing how long it would take for what I was doing), they were fairly priced, on time, worked quickly, took very good care of my things, and were very professional. Vladimir was first to shake our hands and with a big smile, very cordial and eager to help. Andrew was careful and prepared with all the supplies needed to protect my things and also very nice. I had a real pain of a move from multiple units and they were very accommodating and never gave a dirty look or made me feel like we were inconveniencing them. It even started to rain and they never slowed down. I read a bad review on them from a husband/wife (rude, don't leave 2 complaints for one service) and it's clear they were in the wrong by not being honest about what they had to move. These guys were nothing but professional and very up front with the quote and time. I even requested 3 hours because I had so much to move and they got it all done in 2. We own an apartment complex and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone moving around the city. I came across this moving company on Craigslist. I was a little skeptical at the beginning but after I saw their Yelp reviews, I felt much more assured. Contacted them on Wednesday and told them that I wanted to move asap. They have been very accommodating for my need and we ended up moving on Sunday. Before the job was started, they confirmed with me for multiple times - kinda like a reminder, which is definitely helpful. On Sunday morning, Vladimir and Andrew arrived at my home on time. Since I live in a townhouse in the city, it was really hard for them to get the truck on to my driveway. They made a lot of effort to move the truck to the right place which I felt really grateful. When they were loading and unloading my stuff, they were extremely careful (most of our furnishings were protected by plastic wraps). They worked so hard to avoid any possible damages and they truly made it. At the end, they charged me exactly the amount that we both agreed on in the past, even though they spent almost 3 hours on my job while the quote was originally for 2 hours. EXCELLENT moving company. I used ACM Movers Chicago two years ago when we downsized from our large home to a townhome. I was so pleased with their service that I called to hire them again, and the did fantastic Work. The crew works QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY. Pricing is explained by phone at time of booking and confirmed in person with a written estimate after viewing the entire job. For example, we had several heavy items needing to be taken down two flights of stairs, for which an extra charge was added. Totally worth the extra costs - as the moving crew expertly and cautiously moved these items. At time of booking, without seeing the job, just on my verbal description, it was estimated the job would take 2 -2.5 hours. Once reviewing the work the onsite estimate was 3 hours. The crew completed entire job in 2.5 hours! Additionally the crew used almost all my supplied tape, blankets, etc and checked with me before adding in costs for use of their materials. I hired them three days before my move and I was surprised they could fit me in. Quoted the best price too! Vlad is super friendly, polite and responsive. He and Andres work together as a unit with great coordination. They arrived on time, asked me to show the house, confirmed everything that had to be moved (which was mostly all of it) and then straightaway went to task. They didn't make any fuss about the number of items that we had. We had a one bedroom but there were a LOT of furniture and boxes. These guys were professionals, wrapped all furniture appropriately, disassembled our queen bed and loaded everything in 2 hours. The unload was clinical as well. They unloaded each and every item in the room we asked them to, assembled the bed and were done in about 90 minutes. They can get the move done pretty efficiently with no damage or anything, but it seems like they have an issue with overbooking themselves and not communicating. We had a 10 AM appt. Texted them the night before to confirm and it got pushed to 11, which was fine. The next morning, no one showed up and we couldn't get a hold of Vlad until 11:45, when he said he'd need at least another hour and a half. Two different movers finally arrived around 1. We only had our condo's elevator reserved until 2 and had to call them to see if we could keep it without being charged. From there, everything got done fine, but it was a stressful morning thinking we weren't going to be able to move that day. This was our second time with them and had no problems the first time, so I'd recommend scheduling an early appt -- if you're the first of the day, all should go smoothly. read more

I would give 10 stars if i could! I called the day before I was hoping to move and got a quote and had my move confirmed within 10 minutes. Vladimir & Andrew showed up right on time (even a few minutes early!!) the next day and were extremely friendly and efficient! They had all of my things packed in the truck within 45 min, despite the tough stairs in the building I was moving out of. They made sure to double and triple check that they hadn't missed anything when loading and even asked that I come confirm they got everything out of the truck after unloading. I will definitely use DC Moving in the future and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company in the Chicago area. Not to mention, they're SO affordable! Sergio, Dan, and Nick are the best! They worked quickly (and tirelessly!) while also taking great care with all our items. They were friendly, cheerful, and professional in demeanor. Although they worked very fast, they were calm and not frenzied, which lessened my stress! They were also nice to my 84-year-old mother, which meant a lot to me. My communications with Mike were pleasant and efficient. He sent me a clear estimate which was right on target. When I had to reschedule last minute due to a problem with my eye, he was very understanding and rescheduled without making me feel bad about it! This was great value at a great price. Vladimir and Andrew were some of the best movers I've ever used! They arrived at 10:25 ready to rock for a 10:30 start. They were super friendly, speedy and careful with all my belongings. I moved everything into an 8x10 storage locker, and at first it was looking like I would need to rent out a 2nd storage locker to fit everything, but Vladimir kept saying... "just let me try! I love Tetris!" It was nearing the end of the 2 hours, and I was trying to see if there was anything that I could just get rid of and put in the alley. I went up to check their progress, and they were getting the last piece of furniture in. Saved me a bunch of money, and they did it all with 15 minutes to spare!!!! Vladimir and his crew were great! This is our fifth and best move so far in terms of efficiency, quality, and price. From the beginning they were very easy to contact and made themselves available for our needs including day and time of move. When they arrived they were very nice to work with, took great care of our furniture with no damage, and worked around the clock. They uninstalled and reinstalled all necessary furniture without any issues and wrapped up valuable pieces very well with their materials. They also moved all pieces around the house until we were satisfied with how everything looked. I cannot say enough good things about this company! Vladimir and Andrew was very responsive and instantly available to meet with me to go over all of the inventory I had to move. Their pricing was excellent compared to other companies I called and it included two wonderful employees. They packed up my entire home very carefully, and brought all of the necessary supplies! I didn't have to go out and purchase anything to prepare for an extensive move! They also did a wonderful job putting everything into my storage unit and there is still plenty of space left over. Great moving experience. I would definitely use them again. They were really careful with our stuff. They were thorough with how they padded and wrapped everything. They were polite and handled all of our little requests. And they came prepared. But the most important thing is the stress they take out of moving. Let's face it you're never fully ready when the movers show up but they helped us finish up the packing. Vladimir and his team were superb. Their rate is competitive if not better than most companies. Everything is included In the rate. First time hiring a moving company. It turned out to be wonderful. Vladimir and Andrea are the greatest dudes you can ever find. 5 straight hours of hard work. I have to admit I have some big heavy furniture that any mover would swear on, but they did not. Professionally and skillfully handled. Wrapped up, lifted and moved as the items were their own. If you ever lifted heavy clumsy stuff, you know that when you put it down on the floor you can choose to do it with or without the dumping noise. The difference? The latter costs extra energy. They are the best movers in town! I came to know about them through a friend of mine and when I spoke with Vladimir, he responded real quick and helped us plan our move. Five stars is an EASY choice for these gentlemen! I booked their services for a mid-April move this year and was SO HAPPY THAT I DID! Moving is stressful, do yourself a favor give them a call. Vladimir and his associate moved me out of my apartment in Lincoln Park to an Uptown/Lakeview highrise off montrose harbor. Within just 4 hours they were able to move me out of lincoln park and into uptown but also were able to move in ALL of my girlfriends belongings as well. I've had plenty of terrible experiences with movers in my past. Not this time. Vladimir and his coworker were not only punctual but also fast and efficient. This was also a last minute move, may I add, and they were able to accommodate me. I was nervous my belongings wouldn't fit in my tiny storage unit and was left speechless.
