What really buttered my biscuit was them telling me my 220v outlet was not working....so, I hired an electrician to come out to fix an outlet that turns out was working perfectly.....($189.95) minimum house call charge. Also they had issue with the drainage for my dishwasher.....had a plumber come out to tell me they only needed a $2.75 PCV flange to get past their installation Issue. This is not the experience I expected and apparently purchasing a Heavy Duty Washer and Dryer, a Refrigerator, a Dishwasher and an Induction Stove ( which came out to more than a couple bucks) all at the same time does not warrant sending out installation people with more than one installation under their belts. They succeed because they…read moreare everywhere, they often make it easy to shop with them, and because they can often undercut the smaller local spots when it comes to prices. I made the mistake of ordering a gas range from one of these giant corporations, and it turned out to be a giant problem. They delivered but couldn't handle the installation, and then they couldn't take the stove with them, and then the guys who came to pick it up were rude and caused more issues, etc. So I did what I should've done, and I called Earl B. Feiden, and they helped me out, and solved my problem. I got to talk to an actual person (thanks Ken!), and I laid out what I needed (a gas range in a non-standard size), and where the potential problem might arise (it needed to be converted to propane), and they handled it like pros. Sometimes it may cost you a little more time and a tiny bit more hassle (if you consider talking to an actual person a hassle, not a pleasure like I do) to go with the smaller shop, but I highly recommend buying local. It worked out for me with Earl B. Feiden. And in the end, the range I got ended up being cheaper than the one from the big box store anyway.

Found out about Bundy Electronics Repair(Ken) From the owner…read moreand operator of Variety Video rental store in Greenville New York. I had several things that I wanted him to work on. I had picked up a Hitachi television from 1976. I brought it into him and he cleaned it up. Did some work on dial that selects the channels. He put in a couple of capacitors. Because when I played a videotape on the television. You could see at the middle of the top and bottom of the screen there was some bending. Luckily, it wasn't the picture tube but just the need of a couple of capacitors. He also was able to put a new cord into a multiple CD player. As well as adjust a very nice voice of music turntable. That had stopped working. I also found a new old stock, Panasonic telephone combination answering machine. He put on a new belt and adjusted the cam gear. Next up is a pioneer RT 707 open real tape recorder that needs adjustment with some new belts. Probably a new speed regulator as well as lubrication. There are very few old-time electronic repairman left around. He said he gets work from multiple states and is always busy. The turnaround time and the prices are very fair. If you have a turntable, Home, tape deck, receiver, open real tape deck, tube radio. This is definitely the place to bring it. As Ken has been in the Repair business for over 40 years.
