Found out about Bundy Electronics Repair(Ken) From the owner and operator of Variety Video rental store in Greenville New York. I had several things that I wanted him to work on. I had picked up a Hitachi television from 1976. I brought it into him and he cleaned it up. Did some work on dial that selects the channels. He put in a couple of capacitors. Because when I played a videotape on the television. You could see at the middle of the top and bottom of the screen there was some bending. Luckily, it wasn't the picture tube but just the need of a couple of capacitors. He also was able to put a new cord into a multiple CD player. As well as adjust a very nice voice of music turntable. That had stopped working. I also found a new old stock, Panasonic telephone combination answering machine. He put on a new belt and adjusted the cam gear. Next up is a pioneer RT 707 open real tape recorder that needs adjustment with some new belts. Probably a new speed regulator as well as lubrication. There are very few old-time electronic repairman left around. He said he gets work from multiple states and is always busy. The turnaround time and the prices are very fair. Hard to complain, my iPhone screen was being wonky and awful, Apple would *maybe* fix it for free but was an hour's drive... It wasn't cheap, but it was cheaper than a new phone, and although they told me 45 minutes, it was done in 20. Everyone I spoke to was super helpful and pleasant, and I had a nice chat with Ken. A few weeks ago my son's flatscreen stopped working after a thunderstorm, we then had a power surge that knocked out several other electronics too. Luckily the warranty he bought with the TV would cover the repair with a local business which was Bundys Electronics in Catskill NY. The owner, Ken gave me a very soon appointment and came over with the part which didn't happen to be the correct one so he took the TV back with him and replaced the correct part and re delivered the TV to us within a week working perfectly . What a great place! I shattered the screen of my touch screen laptop, the manufacturer wouldn't fix it, Bundy's ordered the new part for me and called as soon as it came in, I dropped it off in the evening and before noon the next day it was ready, just like new!
