We kinda have an obsession with THD. It started with Ryobi and keeps us coming back. I mean, one battery and pretty much ALL THE TOOLS?! Beyond that, the store has gotten better over the years. Best place to park remains the roof deck where no one goes. Customer service is slightly better, but still subpar compared to suburban or Southern THDs. The app makes finding things an 8/10, so helps make up for it. The lack of being able to pay with Apple Pay definitely steal a star here. What is it with home renovation stores that don't take Apple Pay?! Thankfully our local Ace does (they get a much, much better review btw). For a big box store, you could do worse, but they'll likely have the tool/part thing you'll need. read more

You can do it and they can help. I guess if you're a handy person it has all the materials and tools one could ever hope to find in a "one stop shop" store. Personally, I loathe going in any of these stores but my budget unfortunately does not allow me to hire people to do repairs and/or remodeling on my home as much as I would like. So ...... My husband and I went to HD to purchase a few items and were specifically looking for some gardening tools which appeared to be all gone for the season. We spoke to an employee who told us where they might be and we took a look and they were not there. While we were checking out, the lovely gentleman met us at the register with exactly what were looking for, but could not find. He went above and beyond to find what we needed and sought us out to make sure we got them. Otilio from store #6176 (Leeds, NY) deserves some recognition for his outstanding customer service. Little did he know that we were planting daffodils in memory of my late mother in law and needed the tools to complete the job efficiently. He does not know what his simple act of kindness meant to us. Thank you Otilio! We appreciate you! read more

We went to buy a replacement Kyobi 40 volt lithium 6 amp battery for a lawn mower. The man in that department said they were $199, which we thought was over priced since a lawn mower with the same battery was selling for $299. The worker blamed Trump and the tariffs on China. I checked Amazon while the worker was handing us the battery and the Amazon price is $139. The worker confirmed it was the same battery. Not a tariff issue but a Home Depot price gouging issue. Home Depot lost a couple of customers for the price gouging and political statement of their worker. read more

Terrible to non existent customer service. Not one floor associate made eye contact with us as we shopped. Asking for service it seamed we where non important and looked down upon. It was interesting as the associates where talking to each other and laughing. Interrupting them as a client made us feel like we where interrupting their day. I have shopped in Home Depots all over the country and use them in our business. This was the worst Home Depot I have ever entered. The only bright spot in this store was the Cashier Kimberly. Friendly great service from her. Don't let this one bright spot go! I left less than $30 in the bottom of my flat cart. I called and asked Matt at the service desk for a manager. He said "There are no available manages to speak with" I asked to speak with Deborah Brola the store manager. She too i suppose was to busy. I asked for Daryl there district manager. No go at this HD. Lack of service from top to bottom! This is the review I left on their customer survey. To add this is the only area of the country I would prefer to shop at Lowes and did. We purchased a drier and other items from them. It was entirely different experience. We actually got the help we needed in that store. read more

The best place to go if you're in the Windham/Catskill area. Better quality and selection than the Catskill Lowe's and the service is excellent. The staff are always friendly and often go above and beyond. In one visit, I was picking out boards for making shelves and the associate came over, helped pick out the board and then cut them. So awesome!!!! read more

Went there with my daughter and we needed heavy things...pavers, fence panels, 4 x 4s etc. A guy named Jeff, and a helper, came quickly when called and they loaded the cart, pushed it to the next item, loaded that, pushed it outside to the fencing panels and then back in to the register! They could not have been more helpful. I really hope somebody reads this and gives Jeff a raise. He was a tall thin guy and this was a Thursday mid-day in April. read more

Traveled to Home Depot to buy a piece of carpeting. Was informed that the carpet measuring and cutting apparatus was not working. No one wanted to attempt it manually, I leave the store. The following day I called Home Depot ... I was put on hold, multiple times ... no one ever picked up. I have no intention of going to the store unless I know the apparatus is in working order, which seems to be impossible. It seems to me HD under staffed or some one would have answered their phone. read more

Not a place to depend on when there is an emergency. My son broke a window ... went to Home Depot Catskill, NY to purchase a sheet of wood and have it cut to temporarily patch it. From the onset the sales person told me that they don't like to cut sheets of wood as it takes them off the sales floor for too long. I needed 3 straight cuts on the board. I told him I would pay whatever ... just needed to patch the window and I don't have a saw. The first cut was 11 inches off the top. The sales person refused .... told me they cannot make cuts on boards that are less than 12 inches??? WHY? Clearly Home Depot Catskill was not the place to be in an emergency. Put the sheet of wood back and went to over to Lowes Catskill. They cut the board with no trouble and I was on my way. Funny how Home Depot was much more accommodating when they put cabinets and granite in my kitchen and got a big pay day ... Will go to Lowes moving forward read more

Certainly the best Home Depot, and possibly best big box store, shopping experience I've had. The staff is proactively helpful and patient, and extremely knowledgeable. Very impressed, leaves my local Home Depot outlet in the dust. I'd probably drive up here to shop at this one instead of going to one closer to my home. read more

Wish I could give a better report. My mother had great results with carpeting and installation with Home Depot, and a large window blind purchase and installation. Sadly, I visited the kitchen cabinet dept. last Friday. The manager hardly listened and certainly was not up on his facts. Home Depot only can arrange for resurfacing cabinets, not a complete kitchen redo. I found this out when Home Depot representative called to set up a visit/ measuring. A waste of time. read more

Ordered cabinets and a new countertop from this Home Depot. The company they use to install came in early/mid October to measure the template needed to create the countertop. After 2-3 weeks the Home depot person reached out requesting I sign paperwork for their contractors to start making the countertop. Already frustrated at the wasted time between them measuring and me receiving the paper, I signed it and scanned it back (At this point it is now November 6th). 1 month later (December 2nd), I called Home Depot because I had not heard from anyone about installing my countertop. I was told someone would call me back and instead I received an email saying I missed a signature and they needed me to sign and send it back. Upset, I called to ask why no one had reached out for an entire month to let me know that an additional signature was needed. I also asked if their was someone I could speak with about the dropped ball on their part. I was dismissed and there is no solution and no accountability. Disappointed by the treatment I've received by the service department at Catskill Home Depot on a reconditioned Ariens snow thrower that simply doesn't run right. Poor communications, a lack of return phone calls and no fix are a blot on the name of Home Depot and Ariens. I will be hauling this unit back to Latham Home Depot where I bought it to get my money back. read more

I have been to many many Home Depots all over the U.S. This one is my favorite. Just about every sales person is knowledgeable in their area. They walk you around the store to find what you need and if they don't have it they figure out how to get it for you. I have been going to this home depot for years and sometimes I even drive out if my way to go to this one just because they are so helpful it saves me time in the long run. read more

The store may be OK. But what ever you do, do NOT do appliance delivery through Home Depot. The firm the store uses could not install a basic dishwasher. I ordered a dishwasher for my elderly parents. Not only could they not install the dishwasher, first it was a complaint about the electrical, then it was something about getting the old dishwasher out or something about connecting to the outlet. They not only damaged the counter, they also left the old dishwasher behind. This has been a horrible traumatic experience for my parents. DO NOT do delivery and install from home depot. read more

Absolutely horrible. My mom has gone through so much since having trusted Home Depot in Leeds, NY. She had her vinyl flooring installed by the sublet company home depot provided. They did a very poor job. There are spots where there are gaps between the flooring, multiple spots all around the floor where the guy left nails or screws, now those spots are starting to bulge, and one looks like it will peel back soon.Those started to show months after installation. The guy glued the floor dividers instead of nailing them down, now one has come off. It looks like home depot just hired the cheapest people they could find. Not too long after the floors were installed, she had gotten appliances from home depot (wish she hadn't.) The guys that home depot provided for the delivery 1) couldn't install them because home depot didn't put it on the bill? 2) scuffed up her porch 3) damaged her antique china cabinet 4) took a chunk of sheet rock out of her newly painted wall. She contacted home depot, and they contacted insurance and said my mom had to take pictures. UM NO that is not her job, they should have sent someone. So after those bulges appeared, she contacted them again. They transferred her 6 times before just sending her to a voicemail. Nobody, no manager is ever available to talk. So unprofessional. Then when finally someone answered the phone, a non manager, she said they were going to take care of this, contact insurance, and the people who installed the flooring would come out and look at floor. They lied! It has been three weeks now, she had tried calling back to them again, and they do the same transfer around the whole store until it reaches a voicemail. My mother even heard two employees say about her "Its that same lady again" when they were about to transfer the phone somewhere else. She has been treated so poorly by the Home Depot in Leeds, NY. I would never suggest to go there. After this all occurred, we told a family friend what she was going through, and they told us how they had gotten their front living room window with home depot, Leeds, NY. And how home depot had sent out people to do the measurements, and when the window had gotten delivered the window was off by about 6 inches! Home depot wasn't going to fix it, and somehow it wasn't their fault? They ended up getting what they wanted, and should have. I wish my mother had gone with Lowe's, I've had great experiences in the past with them. My mother should get a refund, because they took her money without blinking, but didn't care that they did a horrible job. Home Depot in Leeds NY doesn't deserve even a single star. read more
