We needed a stove. The store part was fine, enough so that a unit was purchased and the sales man was efficient. So we asked for an early delivery. After a week without an oven we get the call from Rodger around 8am that they are looking at between 1 and3pm. Our issue is we needed to call the main office to see where they are and it's 5pm. There has not been any phone calls to let us know what is going on. Turns out they had to return to the just completed installation for an issue and an alternative install is going to pick up our unit, another hour and still no call. Finally the get here and fly through the install , currently I find there delivery people need some training. I expect better dropping a grand, I have to go level it, just ask you read this, make sure you expect communication read more

The servicing of what they sell is awful. We bought a refrigerator from Feiden 7 years ago. When the freezer started to fail we were told it needed a new icemaker. $800 later we had one. A month after that we noticed that it would NOT STOP MAKING ICE (I have to keep shoveling it out). Four hours after the service man - not his fault - came and spent time on the phone with the manufacturer and confirmed that the new ice maker was faulty, he called back to tell me it was not under warranty! I have called command central 3 times in three weeks trying to get the damn thing replaced and been given the run around every time. Look, I can shovel the ice out and survive, but when you pay $800 for something you expect it to work properly. To add insult to injury, they also charged me $194 for the diagnosis and to tell me that I needed a new circuit breaker for my stove - something I could have been told over the phone. I support local businesses and have been well served by Feidens in the past. called Monday and paid for a replacement refrigerator - ours no longer cooling. urgent situation. The fridge of choice got to the Latham warehouse by Wednesday. The delivery was scheduled for Friday 3-5. now 5:16 friday afternoon. Still no fridge. I was told to simply wait another hour - as though I do not have other commitments. Friday afternoon on an hot summer day after their shift is over and these guys are expected just to continue. We are now operating 5 days without any refrigeration. In the future I'll use a big box store for emergencies. with a deeper bench for deliveries they are more likely to meet their promised schedule. To make a long story short - Ron worked effortlessly to assist me in making the right choices for my new kitchen based upon MY needs. He LISTENED TO ME. Not many salespersons *listen* to you and hear what you're saying. Ron was helpful, very informative, kind, funny, smart and passionate about all things appliance. I LOVE my new kitchen AND my Thermador trio (dual fuel stove, dishwasher and microwave/convection/ speed oven). In addition to terrific salespersons, Feiden's tech service is exceptional. I purchased two appliances from Feiden: a Frigidaire induction cooktop and built-in oven. Great prices on both, less than Home Depot and Lowes. Because my kitchen was under remodel, they kindly delayed delivery until the cabinets were completed. Nathan was a great salesman who helped me solve a complicated problem with replacing my old stove in an old kitchen. My contractor did the installation, not Feidens. A problem with the connection shut the oven down after a couple of uses. Feidens sent out a technician, Will, who diagnosed the problem for me, took photos, and even talked to our contractor. I called Earl B. Feiden's Kingston location about purchasing and having installed a Miele dishwasher. Because the unit had to be placed a substantial distance from the sink, it would be a challenging installation, requiring new plumbing to and from it, as well as some electrical work. The initial folks I talked with ended up having Ron F. of the Latham store coordinate the effort to get this done, which included Mike Feiden, one of the business's owners, visiting our house to look at what was needed, as well as a visit by the owner of Arace Electric (in Kingston), all so it could be determined whether the installation could be done and what the cost would be. Arace did the installation, doing a great job at a reasonable price. Earl B. Feiden didn't charge anything for all the time they put in, and actually enabled me to get a $200 Miele rebate for the unit. The dishwasher is amazing. Everyone I dealt with at EBF was very capable, helpful, thoughtful, pleasant and responsive. A great experience, and you couldn't ask for better service from an appliance retailer. read more

I wish I had read the horrendous reviews of Feiden's before I was pressured, by what turned out to be my duplicitous contractor to purchase the expensive Thermador package . I thought it was important to support a local small business so I went in with blinders that they could have this awful quality control and customer service. I am writing this in the hopes of sparing anyone else from this experience. We bought the fridge, hood, dishwasher, 6 burner stove and the microwave drawer by Sharp. 3 of these appliances arrived with visible noticeable damage that took them weeks to resolve .The cavalier attitude of the salesperson., Ron, when I tried to seek his help on when I'd be receiving my new replacement door for my dishwasher, and his condescension of trying to tell me that is how the microwave appliance "is suppose to look" when I sent him pictures and video of my damaged warped and scratched control panel on the microwave drawerwas absolutely awful when I was in the middle of an already overly stressful kitchen remodel that was extended double the time I was quoted in part delayed due to Feidens. Ron told me matter of factly "we have damaged appliances we sell every week" when I expressed concern that my dishwasher had a large dent in the front. He also said "we just sell the appliances we don't make them" which Bradley Feiden repeated when I expressed concern about their awful quality control. Bradley then gaslighted me for asking why I had to wait so long forreplacement appliances saying we had to "prioritize people who did not have a fridge due the holidays. " Of course nobody wants someone not to have a fridge at Thanksgiving but this doesn't mean I should have to wait 4 weeks. It took them over a month to switch out the door on the dishwasher. My very expensive refrigerator arrived with a missing screw so the handle wasn't able to be installed, disgusting sticky dark grey adhesive covering the entire front and sides of the appliance and broken shelves inside. This was not a new appliance. My contractor's crew received and accepted this disgusting appliance. I would not have if I had seen this condition but I was at work when he installed this. I had to look at this for over 4 weeks and deal with pulling open the freezer drawer on both sides of the appliance since it had no handle. Never once did Ron or Bradley sincerely apologize for my awful experience. I had to talk to over 5 different people in the repair department and continually repeat the issues because none of the communicated with each other to set up my repairs. I had to have them come 3 separate tines to fix this situation. There was no regard for the time we had to spend talking to repair repeatedly or taking time out of our week to be home 3 separate times for 4 hour blocks of time from 10-2. Basically your whole day is tied up. When they came to replace the door on the dishwasher they didn't reattach the appliance so the entire machine tipped anytime you opened it. How can there be this much carelessness? Please save yourself from the aggravation and do not shop here. Even the good reviews here are taking about repairs. New appliances that are quality should not need repairs! Also, save yourself from a horrendous experience and don't take recommendations from them for contractors to work with because they are all working together to swindle you! read more

A shout out to Marc, an Earl B. Feiden Service rep. Marc came to my house a few days before Christmas to repair my refrigerator that was not working. properly. Marc was able to accomplish what 4 other reps were not able to do in the past, which was to pull my refrigerator out from the cabinet enclosure to reach the part that was not working. Additionally Marc brought with him the right tools , which other repair people had not. done. Because of this manuver Marc was able to detect the problem within a few minutes and order the necessary part that day to repair the refrigerator. The end result is that now the refrigerator is working like new! Since I host both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner this was a great holiday gift! Thank you Marc for making my holidays enjoyable !! My appliances are all from Feiden and the few times I've needed service, it has always been excellent. Our 10+ year old Maytag dryer had begun to make an odd, loud noise. Will knew immediately what was wrong, ordered a part and returned maybe two weeks later, this week, installed it, and also fixed the dryer vent attachment. The door seal on my twenty year SubZero fridge had cracks in its plastic 'gasket' and I asked about replacement during the first visit. Will ordered that and installed a new one on the return visit. I have only good things to say; they are polite, responsive, know what they are doing and do it well. Between supply chain problems and employee absences, repairs are difficult to manage these days. But Feiden deserves the five stars I'm giving them, and their employee Will made it happen. read more

What a bunch of incompetent people running this business. Which eventually will go out of business because you just can't sustain a business with this kind of work ethic.. or customer service! First visit.: hired them to set up my dual function Viking in a brand new house. I only had one function and they did the job and left . Suddenly the oven stops working! Second visit: they send ONE worker weeks later( yep no cooking til they can get someone out!) to fix the problem but one worker can't move a Viking alone so it's a wasted trip for no reason! Who sends one person to fix a VIKING? It weighs a ton! Third visit: ( still not able to cook!!..)they fix the problem. The assembly was disconnected. Well GUESS who did that! The first people who came! Really you can't make this up. They sent me a bill for another $220 for the third guys visit to reconnect the assembly line the first guy didn't assemble correctly. Then threatened to report to the credit agency for not wanting to pay. Then I finally got a "owner" on the phone who promised to reimburse me for the last visit and send me a check back . No surprise! It never came! I called and asked and sent another email prior to posting this in good faith that they had just forgotten. But no reply so here is my truthful review! I'm going to report them to the BBB and consumer affairs DO NOT USE it will only cause you stress and more money!!!! read more

To begin with, we purchased a new kitchen elsewhere and after 6+ years the stove, dishwasher and refrigerator broke down. We had purchased the Frigidaire professional series which I've renamed professional junk. Looks like 2020 strikes again for us. Sometime in July our oven decided to that it will only cook things at 450 degrees so we took a ride to Feiden's in Clifton Park to see what we could get. We had found one on sale that we wanted. They were on backorder for at least 90 days. They offered us the floor model and we jumped on it. It was delivered a week later and were very happy with the price & service. Next to give us a problem in August was the dishwasher which ended up leaking water all over our kitchen. Again we went to Feiden's and picked out an on sale model. The wait for this model was 2-3 months but if we bought a better model at $350 more we could get it installed in 2 weeks. That was a long 2 weeks without the dishwasher. When the day arrived for delivery I called the store only to be told it was on backorder. Backorder on an item that was in stock. We called to cancel the order a short time later. A few hours later Bradley Feiden called us with 2 solutions and guaranteed installation 3 days later. We chose the Bosch dishwasher (actually lower in cost) and 3 days later we were able to use it. Phewwwwww Well as luck would have it, about 5 days later the refrigerator decided to go breakdown on us. We went to the Latham store where the Bosch refrigerator that Bradley had suggested was located. We checked a few design choices and picked what we liked. Luckily it's in stock and was delivered a few days later. So yes I have all good things to say about Earl B Feiden appliances because they took care of us in our time of need. I can't believe that 3 major appliances went bad within the 3 month period. Let me not forget the delivery guys, Kudos to them, they were very courteous and fast. Initially we had a good experience consisting of a knowledgeable sales person. When we got the delivery the washer did not work while the delivery people were still there. When I called to find out about receiving a replacement, I find out that they stick you with the defective product instead of taking it back and dealing with the manufacturer directly. Very disappointing, but luckily for me the issue was due to it being frozen so it did work eventually. Any big box store would replace it and if you did have a problem a corporate complaint usually gets them to do the right thing. When I called their main office in Albany the owner did not take my call. Now that I know how they work, I will not recommend them nor would I shop there again. read more

It all began in 2016, after we were fed up with Home Depot's customer care department, which outsourced its service to incapable 3rd party and failed to figure out a door seal problem for my in-law's refrigerator that was still under warranty. Over the years, I have bought 7 major appliances for my family from Earl Feiden from GE dryer to Frigidaire dish washer. The reason I keep coming back to Earl Feiden is not only because of its proximity to our home, but also because of its unparallel shopping and customer services, their business model is based on building and maintaining customer relationship for the long run, in short, they know how to take good care of their neighbors. Taking my most recent shopping experience with Earl Feiden for example, my 20-year-old GE washing machine quit working on a Sunday night with all my shirts still soaked in the water, this literally caused an emergency situation to me as I needed my shirt to go to an important business meeting on Monday afternoon. I went to Earl Feiden the first thing on Monday morning, Mr. Ron Frantz greeted me, he showed full empathy, learned about my situation and understood my exact needs. Leveraging his rich experience in the line of business, Ron recommended a model equipped with only the necessary features that matched my exact needs. Moreover, the price Ron offered was very competitive, much better than I could get from Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy and Costco! Most importantly, Ron understood my urgent situation, and worked with the delivery team to help me get an emergency delivery. Last but not least, Ron really impressed me with his broad yet deep knowledge with appliances when he went over the features with me, for example, Ron explained the difference between tap water and cool water temperature and helped me understand that in our region, during winter season, the enzyme in the detergent could only be activated with cool water temperature. I really admired Ron's rich product knowledge, customer centric sales approach and unparalleled professionalism and salesmanship! Guess what, with Ron's help, I got the washing machine delivered, installed and up running in 2 hours!! I was able to get a clean shirt for my afternoon meeting! (Also a big shout out to the delivery team for their on-time service, courtesy and professionalism!)
