My experiences have all been good at this location, but my last visit was exceptional. When I arrived at the Emerald aisle, I was immediately helped by Mr. Jadon. He was kind, and quick to help. When I asked for a specific vehicle, I wasn't very hopeful. I usually do a quick search of the Emerald aisle and if there's no vehicle that I specifically want, I tend to just grab whatever. This time I required a four-wheel-drive.. Jaden did not have to go out of his way to help me find what I was looking for, but he did so anyway, and he did it with a good attitude. Maybe the bar is on the floor for most of my experiences with employees, but Jadon went above and beyond to assist me, I was happy to get the vehicle that I wanted, but I travel enough that that's not enough to qualify going out of my way to spend the time too right a review. The valet was so kind to me because he saw the state I was in due to the issues with the rental I was having to swap out. (It had a flat tire and I was driving on a doughnut wheel!) I even asked him for a hug and let him know how much his kindness meant to me at that moment. The office manager was fast and professional and had no problem looking up my rental agreement and getting me swapped over into another vehicle so that I could get home back to Houston. Both of these guys redeemed the poor service that I received from the League City location where I initially got the first rental. I hope that corporate reads these reviews and follows up to recognize these employees!

There was a line due to F1 race, but ours was a business rental and there was a business line with no one in. There was only one young man at the counter. He was finishing up with a customer and I know he saw us. When done he looked at the regular line and called them up. Figured he didn't see us so when he finished those customers we walked up he looked at us and flagged a lady in the regular line and completely ignored us. This was blatant. We asked why and he said she was here first. I asked what is the point of the Business line and do we have to wait until all these people are checked in. He then said that we were next, which tells me he knew exactly what he was intentionally doing. When we got up to the counter we got a whole plate of attitude and zero customer service. Must not have liked our NY logos on our shirts. Then he gave my colleague more attitude and said he couldn't accept his DL because it had a crack in it. Yet TSA accepted it. My colleague gave her license since I told him our agency pays millions of dollars a year to enterprise and any company employee can ride the rental as long as they have a valid DL. Not too mention we rented a premium at $1,000.00 for two days. I asked for the manager and he sent us in the garage. Turns out that is where he should have sent us in the first place with a premium rental, but felt like giving us a hard time instead of well deserved customer service. Not to mention I am from Austin TX and never expected this kind of service here. I told the manager and she was very nice and apologized professionally. She chalked it up to new hire and training. Ya think!? I have half a mind to tell our president and have them cancel the contract for another rental car service like Avis that cares about their customers.

I rented my car through Costco Travel, which is one of the best-kept secrets if you're a frequent traveler. You can find amazing rates through them if you have a Costco membership, and their system automatically applies the best coupon to your reservation! Use it if you have a membership! My plane landed in Austin early, and it was no problem getting my car. I took the long walk over to the car rental desk and got my car. It was clean, had very few miles, and was in good condition. Even the tank was legitimately full, which I appreciated. I had zero issues with the car during my week-long rental period. Drop-off was an absolute breeze too. Nobody really likes car rental companies and there are very few positive reviews (probably because people don't bother writing a review unless something goes wrong), but Budget is a-okay in my book! Upon arrival at the counter, I informed my agent, "Rock", that I hoped things went well so I could leave a good review as I had seen many poor ones. I explained up front that I had my own insurance, and did not want all the add-on features that run up the tab (Loss damage waiver, Personal accident and effects, Emergency sickness plan, Supplemental liability insurance).
