No answer from them after more than a month waiting for the other half of my order to arrive (was charged the full order amount, mind you). Emails, calls, nothing is answered. They claim their motorcycle show is to blame, but it's been done for over a week. Zero communication, no attention paid to online customers. 06/23 Update- Jeff from Revival Cycles reached out to me and provided a full refund for my order along with an apology. He explained he had several people quit, suppliers not provide parts for months and experience several problems with the Handbuilt show. Sounds like life was hell when I completed my order. On 30 April 2024 I wrote a review to express my frustration and disappointment in my dealings with Revival Cycles. Let me offer an update on that post. Revival Cycles approached me to find out what had happened as they were under the impression that they had delivered the goods in question. Jeff from Revival Cycles listened to my side of the story and to his credit he did not dismiss my concerns but rather thoroughly investigated what had happened at his end. Revival Cycles subsequently found out that I was right. He immediately set about resolving the issue. I won't detail what was done but I was extremely impressed by his actions. All in all they are nice enough to work with when you could get ahold of them, and I'd love to support independent local motorcycle shops, but they basically held a large charge on my account for 26 days when they had no reasonable ability to fulfill the order. They also misrepresented themselves by failing to indicate on the website they had no inventory in stock. Full Story: I found this store searching online for parts and my initial impression was good, though I have to admit most of their prices were a bit steep. I found a nice new adaptive LED headlight and headlight bucket they had that would be perfect for my motorcycle build, so I put in an order. I got a confirmation email immediately, but after four days I had not received any shipping notice though they had charged my card already for the full balance. I emailed them about it and they responded saying "oh those headlights are out of stock and I don't expect them until next week". It's worth saying that nowhere on the website had it indicated that the item I ordered was out of stock and would not be immediately delivered. 13 days later I still had not heard anything and gave another call. Got the same reply that they still had not got them and it would probably be another couple of weeks. Also worth noting was that they did have the headlight bucket in stock the entire time, but had not shipped it though it was fully paid for. At that time I had done some comparison shopping and found multiple other vendors that had the same model headlight in stock, so I called again and cancelled that portion of the order. They had no problem canceling the headlight and immediately shipped the remainder of my order. However, after a couple of days I noticed that no refund had been credited to my account. A full two weeks after the cancellation I called and left a VM. They never called back, but two more days later they finally credited the balance back to me. read more

We have had a chance to go to a couple of different Cycle Events hosted by Revival. The Twist Off was a total blast and we can't wait to go again. We also attended the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show which was AWESOME! As an out of state customer I ordered parts from revival online, and proceeded to wait for months. After multiple email exchanges, date lines missed, and months of waiting I was offered $10-20 off additional purchases as a discount. A month later I finally received the parts, not in the color/powder coating I originally ordered, and have received no follow up communication. I wanted so badly to support a US business, and I worked with them to come to an understanding as to why reasonable timelines weren't being met. To which I've received numerous auto replies and unhelpful answer, excuses, products that aren't what I ordered as well as months of my time wasted. ORDER FROM ANYONE ELSE. Maybe their Texas supply chain and customers service is better, I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but if you're ordering anything m-gaget related online find a different source. WHEN I ORDER THESE PARTS I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE 1-3 WEEKS. I WAITED 17 WEEKS BEFORE RECEIVING MY ORDER. Respectfully do yourself a favor, find any other company to support. read more

Long story short, they had supply issues that caused me to wait almost 3 months for my parts. They kept telling me it would be two weeks or next week or soon. If I had more details and a more accurate ETA, it would have been fine. I wasn't waiting on these parts to get my bike running, so had they told me it would be a couple of months, I would have been fine with it. I got a good price for it all, so I had no desire to cancel. Just a little more honesty upfront would have been nice. I got my parts the other day, so everything looks good so far. The turnaround was far less than I'd anticipated, they updated me on things to watch out for the the future and gave me tips on what I could do to make my bike run better, longer. Found these guys on Youtube when I was starting my first build. That channel is by far the best channel for new bike builders. They make it super easy to get what you need for your build as well. What really blew me away is that they encourage you to email with any questions you might have about your build. I did just that and within 12 hours had a response that was extremely helpful in solving a problem I was having with the ignition system. You guys rock...keep up the great work. read more

Bummed after reading so many good reviews I was hoping this shop would handle all of my needs as I'm fairly new to Austin. Alas I sent an email describing my project 2 weeks later and still no response. A reply just saying it isn't the kind of project they are looking to take on or they are too busy. But NADA Zilch nothing. Update-- the shop did get back to me and apologized explaining they were very busy but that they dropped the ball. I had since hooked up with another fabricator. But even though I'm not having them do my project I'm happy to raise the rating as they owned the mistake. I don't see a way to just take the review down read more

I bought a used 1970 Triumph Trophy 250 from a guy on Craigslist. After it didn't move anymore, I took it to revival. I am glad I did. They determined that the man I purchased it from didn't refill the oil in the transmission. So first gear broke. The repair took much longer than I expected. However I was kept in the loop the entire time. I was told when parts were ordered and when delays in shipping occurred. I had expected owning a classic english bike would be a pain, but little did I know parts are so scarce. But Alan and the guys kept me informed and up to date. From talking with him I could tell that he had a passion for bikes and that he was doing his damnedest to get my bike out of there in a timely fashion. Also, they have a classic bike museum there. I am a service member and will be deploying overseas to Japan this year. After seeing Revival Motorcycle's video on Jay Leno's Garage, I decided to take a trip to Austin to see what the shop was all about. I have a 1974 BMW R75/6. I had done some custom work to it but was looking for a good reputable shop that could go through the mechanics of the bike and make sure that everything was in top working condition before moving to Japan. I am currently stationed in College Station, TX which is just over 2 hours from the Revival shop in Austin. My first impression of the place was "WOW". It was amazing, beautiful custom bikes everywhere. I knew from their piece with Leno that the price point for their custom work was above my budget. After talking with some of the guys in the shop, who are all very friendly, I decided that I would go a bit above my budget to get the work done there because I felt that they knew old bikes, our visions were in sync, and the quality of workmanship really shown. You get what you pay for! I left Revival and returned later that week with my motorcycle. I gave them my timeline and they did a good job of working within that timeline. I was pleased with the amount of communication, either by phone or email, throughout the process. They kept me informed and also contacted me if they wanted or needed to deviate from the original estimate. A couple of months later I returned to pick up my bike. Here is the short list of what was accomplished: custom motogadget spedo install, electronic ignition install, oil change, front fork tune up and oil, brake adjustment, custom battery relocation, carb tuning, and replaced petcock valves. I took the bike for a short ride, loaded it up and drove back. I was stoked. Customer service doesn't get any better than these guys! I got a follow up phone call a few days after I had picked up the bike. There were a few tweaks that need to be made, but those were sorted and I couldn't be happier with the work they did or the entire experience. Thanks Chris and Alan. Thanks Revival! read more

I usually go to Chris at Limey Bikes, but my clutch cable snapped near my home in east Austin. Instead of towing it to Limey, I decided to limp it over to Revival. I am glad I did! Its worth the trip out there just to meet the awesome guys and check out some of the incredible rare and vintage machines they have. From limited production bikes, hard-to-find Italian collectibles, and custom one-offs, their shop floor is littered with some real eye candy (and inspiration for future projects!). As for their work, the bike rides great. Was a little more expensive than I thought (i.e. required about an hour more labor than I figured), but when you have an older bike that is often par for the course. read more

Revival is a great place to check out whether you're interested in getting basic maintenance or custom fabrication done, or if you want to talk with someone about buying a bike. The guys there all seem very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do! They helped me out with some wiring on my vintage Honda among other things and the shop rates are certainly reasonable and standard for Austin (75$/hr). If you have a vintage or European bike (or even if not!), I'd strongly recommend checking Revival out. If you're a motorcycle/design fan but don't have a bike, swing by the shop anyway. Alan has some amazing bikes in there and built out the shop himself. It's a really cool space! Bought the Hedon Epicurist (in Creme) helmet from Revival since they are the only US supplier for the fancy UK helmets. My partner and I are first time Vespa owners, and were in search of a good quality and stylish helmet. Hedon was it for us. I called the shop and spoke with Michael several times, who was really awesome and took the time to answer all of our questions. He helped place a custom order since the color we wanted was not listed on the Revival site. The delivery took some time due to the orders being placed via the UK Hedon store. Alan Stulberg and the boys at Revival Cycles are the real deal when it comes to working on rare and vintage motorcycles. They took my Rip Van Winkled 1976 Norton Commando and got it woken up and running in a very short amount of time, for a very fair price. Two other mechanics had tried and failed to understand the quirks of my British vintage, but Alan has owned several Nortons and was the one to get it right. I also own vintage yamaha and have owned honda too, and it's obvious these guys have put time in with a lot of different types of motorcycles. The shop is filled with rare and delicious looking collectible bikes, stuff you won't see anywhere else in town. There are some custom builds underway that look pretty excellent as well, and the last time I stopped by they were building a fabrication space out of a ship container next to the shop. If you are thinking of spec-ing out something custom, but don't have the shop/ tools/ability to pull it together yourself, I would definitely go talk to Alan. Finally, this is an honest, straightforward operation with not only competent wrenches, but also great style and (lack of) attitude. Go check them out, you won't be disappointed. read more

I ordered a Motogadget M-Unit v2 back in July 30th. Two days after the order, they sent me an e-mail saying that the product was in backstock and they're waiting 7-10 days for the shipment to come in. I replied back asking for stickers because I know how things work. They replied with a yes, they'll send stickers with the package. 8 days go by and I send another e-mail wondering what the status was. No reply until the 16th day since I ordered. Telling me that my order has still not arrived yet. Still in backstock. Now that's a $300 item that i've been waiting for... So the reply they sent me stated that i'll have to wait another 7-10 days, that they'll give me a t-shirt with the order, a shirt that costs $3-8/shirt to make, and they retail it at $25. Working in the e-cig industry, I already have too many shirts and don't need any more. So I replied to their latest e-mail that I received on Aug 22nd asking for something more than a shirt and stickers. I mean, 1 whole month. 1 MORE WHOLE DAMN MONTH for me to finish my bike since this is the only piece that I am missing to get my bike on the road. 30 damn days. Anyways, they still haven't replied. Their customer service online is HORRIBLE! I feel like i've been scammed $300. If I were them, I would hire someone to be on the e-mails 24/7 if possible, and to find someone to fix their shopify website to let people know that their item is on "BACKSTOCK" before someone like me gives them my hard earned money. Honestly, I feel like i've been taken for as a joke. Pick up your tools and rack em and start working on your customer service. 8/29 - Still haven't received an update from them. Nor an e-mail. I've called and left a message. I've emailed without getting a reply. I'm still $300 empty. read more

Excellent customer service! Prior to yesterday, I was familiar with Revival Cycles due to their online presence via YouTube videos and well curated website. I found myself stumped by the wiring diagram of a product that was manufactured outside of the US, by a company that didnt speak english, and in a last ditch effort for understanding called Revival Cycles. Initially I got their voicemail. I didn't leave a message and hung up to call another well known shop that I consider to be their competitor. I was quickly dismissed due to this other shop not knowing about the product and because my call clearly wasnt going to help them generate any revenue. Moments later I recieved a call back from Dana at Revival Cycles. I told him about the part, what my intentions were, and for over an hour he walked me through the wiring diagram. He was extremely patient while I tried to understand the information, which admittedly, was a bit out of my realm. He even went as far as to offer his time if I needed any assistance moving forward. The fact that Dana went out of his way to assist someone in South Florida with a product that wasnt bought from his shop speaks volumes about the passion the guys at this shop have. My suggestion to anyone taking the time to read this review is to check out some of the YouTube videos they've posted. They take their time to educate people on various products and practices, while doing things the right way, and it's a clear display of their knowledge and attention to detail. Dana, you killed it.
