This review is long overdue, but there is no way I would not let everyone know how this place screwed me over and damaged my 100% original vintage scooters. I have a matching pair of 2 1983 Yamaha scooters that "were" in excellent condition before this place got a hold of them. They lied about so many things and ultimately I got the scooters back in damaged condition. First off - they are incompetent - they had both scooters for 9 months and did nothing with them until the last month, when they only messed with one of them. Even though they had been garaged indoors for 40 years, while in the hands of Scooter 911, they were pulled out every day and left to get rained on, and then I got back one scooter with multiple RIPS in the seat and the vinyl is all dry now. The seat had no issues before and the vinyl was pliable. But let me back it up to the beginning - These scooters were in great condition, and they were being ridden regularly until about 2 years prior, when the previous owner drained the gas out and parked them. I bought 2 brand new batteries for them and put gas in but they didn't start. I am a mechanic but don't know scooters and really wanted to pay a shop to quickly get them up and running again. Even though I had an extensive conversation with Garrett the owner in which I had told him I had just purchases two new batteries, they slipped up and the first thing on the invoice was 2 new batteries they were trying to charge me for. I had to call them and one guy yelled back to another and said "You tested those batteries, right?" and of course the other guy said yeah. NO, THEY DID NOT. Because they were new and fully charged, and most definitely worked. Then after the 9 months that they had my scooters and failed to fix them, they had me pick them up and claimed they threw away my batteries and that they were bad. NO THEY WERE NOT !!! They gave me back one used battery and one dead battery they pulled off a shelf for cores. They totally ripped me off. Ok now lets talk about the burned floor mats - I had nice carpeted mats on one and they came back looking black and burned. It think they caught on fire but they are worthless now. They also lost the brake cable wingnut on one of them, and I had to go online and luckily found a place called Jacks scooter shop (in California) who had a used one which I purchased. What else?? Well, let's talk about the incompetence of Scooter 911 -- the reason they had my scooters 9 months is because they are incapable of fixing vintage scooters, despite what they claim. First off - I looked in the gas tanks and they were nice and clean. But Scooter 911 said that both Petcock valves were bad and needed to be replaced. This seems like the M.O. for this place - if your scooter has been sitting for 2 years (even though properly drained of gas), they will tell you that your parts are bad and need to be replaced arbitrarily. And that you need 2 new batteries because the batteries you just bought are somehow bad. Hmmm. Ok well it turns out that BOTH petcocks were GOOD, as I later found when I got the scooters back. Because I had to end up fixing them myself. And I did just that. It wasn't hard either. So, for 9 months they made all these excuses about how they couldn't locate the right petcock, and even tried to get me to modify my 100% original vintage scooters to have a manual cutoff instead of automatic, all because of their incompetence. This place told me they had connections with Yamaha in Japan, even and were not able to locate this part. They literally asked ME to help search for it, which I did and could not find. Scooter 911 told me that they tried to cross reference it and maybe use the 125cc petcock (mine is 180cc) but they said it didn't have the right spacing of bolts - they suggesting making a custom 3D printed base for it. THINK ABOUT THAT!! "3D PRINTED" - This is plastic and not fuel resistant. I absolutely refused any proposal of the sort. That is ABSURD !! So...9 months later, after not doing anything except ripping my seats, burning my floormats, stealing my batteries, losing vital parts, etc., they said they got one running, and sent a video. I immediately responded asking why there are rips in the seat - and it all went downhill from there. He told me to pick them up with no charge, and it ended really badly. I actually went there the week before without them knowing to take pictures of my scooters sitting out in the rain with about 10 other scooters from his shop. And how did they get it running?? Well, they used a brand new, easily-obtainable petcock valve for the 125cc -- the same one that they had told me about 8 months before that they claimed would not fit. And what's even better than that is that when I went home, I put the old petcock back on and it still worked. And I got both scooters running great with the original petcock valves and I did nothing to clean them out! They were fine all along! read more

I recently had a horrible business interaction with this company. I had agreed to buy an e-bike about a month ago from them - Garret specifically. It was missing a part which he informed me was on back order. I asked if I needed to leave a down-payment and was assured he would hold it for me. He also said he would call with an update on the part. After three-weeks of no communication from them, I called Garret to check on the status. He informed me that the part would be coming in the next week. I again reiterated my desire to buy and asked if I needed to leave money. Again assured I didn't. He emailed me yesterday afternoon to let me know the part was in. When I called today - less than 24 hours from being notified - he informed me it was sold earlier that day. He said since he hadn't heard from me, he was unsure. I informed him that was BS as I had called less than a week to reconfirm my desire to purchase the bike. He said he would try to see what he could do but it would probably cost more. I said that was unacceptable and I would hope as a business owner he would honor his word and price. I even made a concession on the price. I have read the other reviews and I wish that had been my experience but it was far from it. I would NEVER recommend this place. read more

These guys are the best. I've had my scooter serviced here 3 times (regular maintenance, brake lever, ignition key port thing) AND they made a custom bike rack for my scooter. The customer service is next level. 2 of the 3 times I've been, the guys welded or finagled a part together for me so that i wouldnt have to pay full price or wait 6 months for that specific part. I've had several motorized 2 wheeled vehicles, and have gotten services done at quite a few places around town. But this shop is by far my favorite. The prices are very reasonable, the guys are kind- total 180 from the usual 'macho' guy vibe you get at a motorcycle shop, and best of all- they know what they're doing. read more

I bought a Tao that had under 300 miles ! took it in because it was hard to start. They said the carb needed to be rebuilt. when they got done it leaked so it needed a new one. they did a full service on it and test drove it and the engine locked up! I took in a running scooter and not back a pile of junk! take your bike or scooter anywhere else! read more
