They kept some clothes on hangers as promised but dumped the rest in piles at the bottom of those hanger closets so my clothes are all messed up. Really disappointed in our experience with Ace Relocation. Customer service was great up until we signed the paperwork, then we were basically ignored. There was no proactive communication: We didn't receive courtesy calls letting us know when the movers would arrive or follow ups on moving days to make sure things were going well. Unless we reached out to our assigned customer support person, we were left in the dark. The people who packed our house were haphazard. I genuine don't know how they managed to pack boxes with different items from across the house together. About half of the boxes were unlabeled, some of the boxes that were labeled were labeled incorrectly. Plenty of items were not tagged with stickers (which is how you track the items you're moving) meaning we have no reliable inventory to know if anything got lost in the move. There was a piece of furniture that the unpacking team didn't put together cause they said it shouldn't have been disassembled in the first place, not sure where the blame lies for that one but it shouldn't have happened either way. I had a positive experience with ACE and would recommend them to others. My agent, Michelle, was professional, resourceful and responsive to all of my questions. Pick up and packing at origin went smoothly, storage pricing was fair and delivery services went about as well as I could have hoped for. There was an unexpected challenge in the delivery process that caught both me and the movers by surprise, but we found a reasonable albeit not ideal solution. More importantly, the communication with my agent and the Seattle team in response to this setback showed an appropriate level of concern and was solution-oriented. I was set up with Ace through Atlas when looking for somebody to move me and my boyfriend from southern California to Seattle. From the very start, Ace was an absolute joy to interact with. I was first set up with a gentleman for a mobile video call to go over all of the stuff that I had. He then sent me a quote for the move. After getting a competitive quote from another company, I reached back out to Ace. I was told that they were so confident on the weight of my items, that they would be willing to do a binding price as well as knock another several hundred bucks off. All of this while my contact was actually out of state for a week long conference. He and his manager were consistently friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. I was then connected with another Ace representative to cover the moving logistics. She was awesome as well. She made sure everything was taken care of, and any questions or restrictions I had, she was very attentive to. We even had strict restrictions at the destination address, and she handled it like a champ. Both the gentleman that packed my stuff, and the ones that unpacked, were professional and friendly. Now for the issues (don't worry, there are very very few): - There was a mix-up with delivery. We live in a condominium building that has a very small load dock. So, we got the condo and Ace in contact very early on to make sure truck size logistics were handled. Well, they showed up in a truck that was about a foot too tall for the load dock. So, we had to essentially have them illegally park to unload. Luckily, the unload was quick and security only gave a warning very close to the time they were done. - There was one piece that was ever so slightly damaged, but nothing considerable. We also have one item that mysteriously vanished despite having all tags accounted for. But considering that is the extent of the damage to the moved items, it's pretty miraculous! - Lastly, when they were putting our bed together, they hit the wall and caused about a half inch deep, inch and a half long chip/dent in the wall. They apologized, took photos, and reported it in their paperwork. I reached out to my logistics contact and explained to her the truck mix-up and the damage. She ended up taking off all additional charges (long distance carry charge, etc) due to the truck mix-up and sent me a claims form for the wall and product damage. Overall, the process was easy and everybody was awesome. I will certainly go through them again for future moves! TL;DR - They are the best moving company I've gone through! Ended up paying for 10% overage on weight because their people packed 1/2 ton of stuff that I had marked DO NOT PACK and had specifically pointed out to the packers. They also used a couple hundred pounds of unnecessary paper to surround non breakable items. The Ace movers were phenomenal. They came in, worked hard, were very careful and precise. They were also friendly and fun, helpful and reassuring. I was a frazzled mess and they made it as easy as it could be. We moved cross country from Washington State to New York state, with a whole lot of heavy, fragile glass for our glassblowing business. They packed literally tons of sheet glass and it arrived like it was supposed to. What a relief! We had a great experience with Ace. The only 'eh' part was that while we did end up getting a refund for about $150, had we not completely filled the garage in the new house ourselves before Ace arrived I'm sure we would have had a final charge way over the estimate. We had a LOT of stuff, 4 bedroom house worth, though so it had to have been hard to estimate. Tracie was very professional, punctual, and fun when she did our estimate. Michelle, the customer service rep, was also professional and quick to respond to my questions and communications throughout the process and even after. The guys worked really hard on two of the hottest days of the summer and did a great job. We have several very old, family heirloom pieces of furniture that all made the move in perfect condition. One piece is an upright piano. Pianos in general are not the lightest things, but this one is almost 100 yrs old and as the old saying goes, they don't make 'em like they used to. We all agreed it's the heaviest upright piano everrrrrrrr. Made with some sort of super heavy steel guts. They muscled that thing and the rest of our heavy and awkward stuff like supermen. We also appreciated their willingness to change the location of an item or two after they had put it where we asked and then we changed our mind. It's a move and you expect things to get broken, but really we only had a couple of little, minor things that were no big deal. No broken dishes, glasses, windows, furniture, appliances... hopefully no broken moving men! Everything was packed, loaded, and unloaded efficiently, done with courtesy, care, and respect. Please don't use this company. The Seattle packers were wonderful. Storage, retrieval and delivery of my household boxes from Seattle to Rocklin, CA a year later after storage in Kent, WA were disastrous. I'm so deeply disappointed and hurt that my family heirlooms dating to the 18th century were lost along with precious family glassware from my deceased parent's business, momentos from my work hosting the Cancer Society's Black and White Ball in 1988 and so many more dishes and kitchenware that I cannot replace because patterns are discontinued. My high end Bosch washer and dryer were scratched and dented as was my new Townie bicycle along with chipped and ripped bookcases and a little occasional chair newly reupholstered. Every time I look for an item and it's missing I feel sick inside knowing I'll never see it again. I hope whoever took my things appreciates that many came from Germany in 1850 across an arduous voyage to San Francisco. When I persisted in asking for help to look for them even volunteering to fly up and help find my well-marked boxes and contents and to please, please, please return them to me no matter what, I was curtly told the company would give me $598.00 and if I didn't take it I'd get nothing. They were friendly, professional and worked efficiently. They are trustworthy, have consistent methods/training and skills. We have had movers before - it is never a fun process. When we arrived at our new home, there were some important things we could not find - the team leader actually came over and searched - certain that the items had to be present - and they were. We have moved several times in the last 25 years. Able Cruz was our driver, completing a partial move for us from Seattle WA to Mountain View CA. He was the BEST driver we have ever had. He was thoughtful, and neat, respectful, FUN, and damn good at what he did! My husband commented that Able had a joke every time he walked through the door! He made what can sometimes be a stressful situation very pleasant. All items made it here in impeccable condition. I actually think, perhaps better condition than they left our house in Seattle! (He fixed a table for us as he put it back together!) I passed Able on my drive down, and I can tell you, he was a courteous and safe driver on the road. Our packers in Seattle were also through ACE, and they were amazing (-The Girls: Crystal and Erika). We would love the same crew as we complete our move to the Bay Area. It all started with Eric who was great! He gave us our estimation and followed us through the entire move. The Packers did a good job although some items ended up in the wrong boxes. We let them come two days early and they reimbursed us for the extra hotel night. Unfortunately, they couldn't deliver on the date we needed so we had to pay an additional $4000 storage fee. We appreciated them coming back to pick up the empty boxes for $200. Overall I thought they did a really good job. read more

I really went back and forth with a 1 or 2 star review.... I'm giving two because the delivery guys were great. Other than that, there were pretty big issues at every step. First, there seemed to be multiple middlemen involved to the point where I had no idea who was coming or going. No really clear instructions were given to me about who was doing what with the move, and in the end, the company hired to crate art never showed -- they said they didn't even have us on the schedule, and since our house had been sold and we couldn't wait a day, we ended up having to take the items ourselves, which was a huge inconvenience. Our items were being held in storage at our destination until we moved into our permanent house, and we were instructed to give them 2 weeks' notice for delivery to our final address. When I contacted them to schedule a delivery, I was told it would be 6 weeks, so that was pretty terrible as well. Finally, when our items were delivered, an antique stool was handed to me, unwrapped and broken, and the amount offered to us was insulting. They said they made a note that it was damaged when they got it (it for sure had wear and tear, its an antique, but 'damaged' and 'completely broken' are not the same thing, and if it was damaged, wouldn't you try and wrap it better instead of not wrapping it at all? Overall, this was our 4th move over multiple states and by far the worst. read more

Had a great move from California to Washington. The team in California arrived on time, and packed everything up incredibly fast. Our move was somewhat complicating, as we were also sending things overseas, both expedited and long-term. Everything ended up in the right place. The A-team delivered and unpacked our goods in Washington both efficiently and effectively. They rebuilt furniture, removed all boxes and even helped out with some "interior design" decisions. We relocated from WA to CA and while a few of the people involved in our move were professional and friendly, I would not recommend ACE Relocation. I do have to say, I was impressed at how quickly and efficiently 3 guys could pack up our whole place and fit into boxes, then move them into the truck. Then it was all downhill from there. They quoted us 1-3 weeks for delivery. We did not get our shipment until the very last day of the delivery window, so you could imagine roughing it in your new home with nothing but a carry-on luggage and an air mattress for almost a month. We were told that the unpack guys are to stay and help remove debris and packing materials, and make sure all items are accounted for and not damaged. Well, these guys showed up and unloaded everything as fast as they could so they could get to their next delivery. They did not stay to remove the hundreds of boxes or packing paper. They did "try" to assemble our daughter's crib, but lo and behold, the incompetent guy who disassembled it misplaced the bolts. So, here we are, three weeks after delivery, and: - We can't put my daughter's crib together; we're waiting on bolt replacements from the manufacturer - Oh, but guess what else? They "misplaced" our daughter's crib mattress too! - The claims process tells you not to replace items until the claim has been processed. - Our daughter has probably gotten so used to sleeping in our bed, we're going to have a hell of a time transitioning her back to her own room/crib once it's all together. - I had a bottle of prescription narcotics that we had just looked at the week of the move, with pills in it. It arrived empty. - $2200 worth of camera equipment is conveniently missing, but not just that! The invaluable memory card with photos of our daughter were in the camera. - A book shelf arrived, completely demolished and beyond repair. - Only 2 plates were broken. Although we are in the middle of the claims process and could very well be made "whole" in the end, this has been such a painful experience. Ace helped me move to Europe for a work assignment. I am convinced my company contracted the lowest bidder which happened to be Ace. I have dealt with several moving companies in the past and I am convinced Ace is by far the most incompetent and underwhelming of the bunch. Some advice for a better rating: 1) If you are training someone, don't sit in the moving van while they struggle with the paperwork. All of my paperwork is covered in White-Out and the rest is barely legible and appears improperly filled out. 2) Please act professionally and at least pretend you care about my belongings. Several of my items were packed poorly and without care and some were not even packed when I specifically instructed the movers to do so. 3) Keep my shipment grouped together and safe. The moving company in Europe did not receive all packages in the shipment from Ace. In fact, the box with the highest value items is currently lost, damaged or stolen. Also, the paperwork given to the receiving company was incomplete but on the plus side this still gives me hope that perhaps my missing items were only misplaced rather than stolen and maybe I will see them again. In conclusion, I do not recommend this company. Find someone who is more professional - your personal belongings are worth it. read more

This is the worst moving company that I have ever used. They are dishonest and will deceive you. They gave you misleading information so that they can optimize their cost. They change the terms that you signed without notifying you in advance and you will end up paying the extra cost. They even threatened you to get what they want. Don't ever use their service. You will end up paying double the original estimation cost as they always think of ways to charge you extra which is unnecessary. In my case, they charged me origin shuttle claiming that the street is not suitable for moving trucks. In fact, on the same street just across my door, multiple huge freight trucks deliver goods to the retailer store (Rite Aid and Safeway). Worst of all, they didn't tell you the nature of the charge and instead told you that this is only part of transportation fee. Such extra charge will come at a surprise at the final invoice. On delivery, they tried to play the same trick. I was told that the truck can't get close to the delivery address which is just right beside a 4 lane main road with plenty of open parking space. I was apprehensive about trusting a company with all my worldly possessions, but my employer was moving me across the country from Seattle, WA to Troy, MI in a short period of time and I needed professional help. Ace had excellent reviews and Stacey was extremely helpful and professional when she came to do the inventory and estimate and turns out was very accurate in her estimate! Ace provided all the information and material I needed to prepare for the move and gave me an accurate description of what to expect and how to pack. The packet provided had everything I needed. Ace staff was friendly and helpful when reminding me of any upcoming move related events and kept me posted every step of the way. Gene, my driver, arrived on schedule and even called ahead of time and was kind and polite on the phone and even nicer in person. Gene arrived with a 3 man crew, all of whom took the time to introduce themselves. The crew was polite and caring with all of my possessions as if they were their own. The job was accomplished in a very expedient and efficient manner giving me a great deal of confidence in the company. Gene met me at the other end of the relocation, Michigan, with the same enthusiasm with another great crew! All of my belongings made it in one piece and I was reminded each time I attempted to move something that I should just relax, they were there to take care of me.....and that was from the crew!!! I cannot even begin to describe our HORRENDOUS experience with Ace Relocation Systems! After moving to Washington from Illinois we had arrived at our new home and our previous moving company had informed us that there was a complication and they could no longer pick up our belongings in a timely manner. We frantically searched for a new company to assist us in our move and came across Ace. Our coordinator was friendly, helpful, and quickly arranged for our items to be picked up. That is literally the only compliment I can give the company! After we were informed that our items were picked up we assumed that they would be dropped off within the 14 day drop off spread that we were contracted to. We could not have been more wrong in our assumption!!! We were informed upon pick up that we would receive a call 24 hours before drop off. As we reached our deadline and we're getting no updates we decided on the 13th day that we would call and see if anyone knew when we could be expecting our delivery. After numerous calls being dodged by the company and employees placing us on hold and never returning our calls we were informed that our items would not be delivered anytime soon and that they were still in the Illinois warehouse. NOT ONE EMPLOYEE could tell us when our items would be picked up from their Illinois location and be delivered. Mind you we were already passed our CONTRACTED delivery spread!!! 12 more days passed before our items arrived LEAVING US WITHOUT OUR BELONGINGS FOR ALMOST A MONTH!!!!!! We were so relieved to finally have our belongings that we assumed the nightmare was over. We were so wrong!!!! The movers dragged our belongings down the hill in from of our home and walked in with handfuls of loose screws (that we're boxed by us before pick up) and dropped them on our counters saying nothing. Another mover walked in with our broken mirror and opened it in our living room leaving shards of glass to fall everywhere. Several of our boxes, clearly labeled FRAGILE all over, we're smashed and had gaping holes in them. After they left I had a massive amount if paperwork to fill out so we would hopefully be reimbursed for the damages and delay. It took a few months to receive the very small amount of money they thought was reasonable to reimburse us and it was not even close to the amount they owed us in our claim. WE WILL NEVER BE USING THIS AWFUL COMPANY EVER AGAIN!!!!!! The nightmares and headaches they caused are haunting. I WILL TELL EVERY PERSON I KNOW WHAT A TERRIBLE COMPANY THIS IS!!!! I had a great experience with Ace Relocation Systems, moving from Seattle to Austin, TX. Filtering through all the companies, and reading so many sketchy reviews really made me unsure how to find a reliable, reputable mover, that was also reasonably priced. When I put out a general request for an estimate, I got hard sell calls from so many companies all over the country, and the prices varied so much, and the reviews were horrifying. I decided that even if I had to pay a little more, I was going to hire a company that I felt like I could trust. It was very important to me to have an onsite estimate, to avoid any "funny business" later on. When I found Ace it just felt like the right fit. They were so responsive, accommodating to my schedule (I had a tight timeframe), and professional. Everything went off without a hitch (not a pun). They contract through Atlas, which everyone knows is one of the big movers in the country. The movers were on time for pick up, and for delivery. Payment was easy and low pressure. Best advice: Don't ever use this company. Relocated from So Cal. The average drive time from my city in Los Angeles to my city here in Washington state is about 18hrs (plus or minus). My delivery left three days prior to me leaving the city (oct 20th 2014). After being here about a week (I got here on the 24th of October) I was finally contacted and told my delivery would be here by 04 Nov unless weather conditions aren't favorable. Well, I already thought to myself, "hmm that long, ok whatever" but then I get another phone call telling me there's been a delay but the driver didn't specify to her what the delay was. She told me she had been trying to contact the driver but haven't been able to get through so she contacted Quality Control. After QC was contacted I was sent a letter letting me know they'd take care of any necessary cost of goods due to the delay. Well my rep finally gets ahold off driver. She calls me back and tells me on the 3rd that my drivers truck was in the shop but will be out that afternoon and they should be here on the 6th. Well guess what? On the 6th I get another call telling me Nov 7th will be the ETA on my household goods (delivery). The actual driver calls me that same afternoon and tells me "I apologize for contacting you after hours ... A little after 7...but I have you items we are in So Cal." To which I responded, "in the same spot? I moved from so cal" he says well idk how much they explained to you but your original driver didn't have enough room on the truck, even though you had a small delivery, your driver didn't have space so I'm here now to shuttle it over." Then he went on to mention he had two more smaller jobs to do first putting my new delivery date on Monday (today). Had a great local move from Seattle to Bellevue. Lori came out to provide an estimate, discussed my concerns and documented special instructions. On move day, the A-Team led by Rick with Andy and Cleveland arrived early and ready to start the day. They worked efficiently, effectively, safely, and listened and communicated well, respected my concerns, requests and special instructions and were polite gentlemen. I just used ace relocation for a move from Seattle to the midwest. They had the lowest quoted price then the final charges ended up being less then the estimate. I was very impressed with the teams they had for packing and loading the truck and then the team unloading on the other side. All were very careful not to damage anything (nothing they packed broke and they were very careful not to damage the houses). My only disappointment was that I was given a window of a week for delivery and was originally told that our items would arrive at the beginning of the window. At my first update during shipment I was told they wouldn't actually arrive until the last day in the window. But they arrived in the window and the truck showed up exactly at the time they said it would. Ace made what could have been a very stressful experience quite easy. Thanks! read more

I had a little trouble initially with the estimate, but once that was resolved, the 60 mile move couldn't have gone any better. Nick, David, and (I can't remember the third guy's name) arrived early. That surprised me. Then they worked quickly, efficiently, and carefully. On top of all that, I was stunned to be advised I would actually receive a small refund. I highly recommend Ace, especially if my three wonderful movers are assigned to the move. read more
