I'm so happy to write a review for Ace, they were great! Their scheduling person was kind, courteous, informative, and detailed. Their work crew was friendly, prompt, hard-working, and careful with my items. I did my best to give them an accurate understanding of the job, and they were flexible about the adjustments we had to make (small elevator!). Overall, SUPER satisfied and would recommend them to anyone I know!! read more

Excellent service and timely delivery with care! Thank you ACE for making our multi state move.

The staff and service at Ace Moving was excellent. The scheduling was super easy. They explained all the cost that will be associated with the move. On our moving day, the movers (a team of 3) showed up on time. We purchased lunch for them, but they would not eat until the job was done. My husband and I was so delighted with their service. read more

Cool truck! More importantly, JD & Kenny (and Stephanie on the phone) were absolutely wonderful. Their extensive experience showed in how carefully they moved everything, asking us where stuff had to go, and keeping all our belongings and our newly painted walls spotless. This was our first time using movers and it was a super smooth experience. read more

Ace Moving - Movers Near Me - Oakland, California

They scratched my coffee table and stole a half ounce of weed. When you hire movers you're not only paying them your hard earned money, you're trusting them with all of your stuff. It's not about the value of what was taken, I feel like they violated my privacy and showed no professionalism. Please choose another company. read more

I recommend them for your moving need, they are quick, reliable. They were extremely careful in taking care of delicate items in our home.

Roberto, Caesar, Eloy, Andres was very nice respectful, hard working, and skilled at what they do. We moved into a 3 story building and these guys had no complaints going up and down the stairs. They just kept going even though we had shamefully too much stuff we failed to purge before the move. read more

George and his team did an amazing job when I moving us from Monterey to Pleasant Hill. They were fast, took great care of my stuff, and were very courteous. I definitely recommend Ace Movers, I would hire them again for my next move! read more

These guys have helped me through 4 big moves now. You don't really know how much stuff you have until you have to pack them in boxes. I feel like I've always ended up under quoting them the amount of stuff they end up having to move but they have never once complained about it. They always make it work and still manage to move everything with the time alloted. They also do a great job at making sure nothing is damaged. On my last move, they even went above and beyond to fix a bed frame that the previous owners of the bed frame had installed backwards which we didn't even realize.I really appreciate their professionalism and flexibility. I highly recommend this moving company read more

I've used Ace Moving Company on all three of my moves. Most recently was June 6/7 2019. They are professional, efficient, honest, and knowledgeable. This isn't just a job to them, they care as if it were their own home and belongings. I have used them to pack, move and organize my houses. Because of their work ethic, they will always be honest and respectful. Moving can be very stressful. What these guys offer is invaluable. I managed the move for my family by myself and with Ace Moving Company's help. I can honestly say I had no stress. I am so grateful for these guys and will never go anywhere else ....When you experience the best, do not settle for less !! read more

Thank you Ace Moving team for making our recent move so smooth. They were professional, on time with response/communication, and friendly. Our apartment was also especially difficult to move out of bc we were on the 4th floor and basically in a maze far from elevator & far from car garage. They were efficient. We were moving into a new home and were extra concern about our hardwood floors being scratched or walls accidentally dented so decided to hand it over to the professionals. No dents and no scratches. read more

These guys are great! Moved me 3 times in 6 years. Always on-time, careful with my belongings, and fast as possible! Their rates are reasonable and they're personable and attentive. I'm anticipating moving again and I fully intend to hire them again. Great work and great customer service! read more

Great moving company. The guys showed up on time and didn't stop working til the job was done at a high pace. They moved all my boxes and furniture from my 3 story town house to my new house. They disassembled my sons bunk bed and put it back together with no issue. Nothing was damaged during the move and the movers were very pleasant and easy to work with. Highly recommend. read more

I've used Ace Moving for my move from Oakland to SF, and once we decided to move back to Oakland, we thought of Ace Moving right away. These guys are super responsive so the booking process was painless and they were very transparent about pricing. Furthermore, the movers are efficient, careful with your belongings, and ensure your transition goes smooth. Highly recommend Ace Moving for your moving needs. read more

A team of 3 movers helped us move out of a 1350sf townhome. Their sign up process was efficient. They were careful, efficient and hardworking. I don't think I've ever seen people work so hard. Would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

Hired a couple of movers earlier this month. If you call them to inquire, they will ask you how many rooms do you have at the old and new place and they will base it from there how many people you need to do the moving. They only sent 2 guys at my place (Coming from a 2br apt and moving to a 3br house) I thought they could've sent more to do the work faster? Idk. Maybe I should've insisted? But I wasn't sure if they will charge me more if I want to add another person. Anyway, you could save time by boxing all your stuff beforehand so the movers won't spend more time packing it for you and whatnot. Remember, you're paying them by the hour! They have a different rate if you pay in cash or credit card. I think you'll save about $15/hr if you pay in cash? So yeah, that's a big savings if you ask me. I apologize for not having a lot of info. I hired them last minute because I was procrastinating. Obviously. Lol So yeah, They came pretty much on time (15 minutes late from the time that was set up but they didnt start charging me for the time until before they started "working") they are nice and friendly and they just started carrying stuff right away! They really took their time though. Sometimes I saw them carrying light stuff and I thought to myself "maybe they should add more since it's very light?" I mean, that's what I'll do if I was the one moving my own stuff. I guess they didn't wanna stress themselves so they just took their sweet time. They could disassemble your stuff on the wall but they couldn't assemble it back to a wall. Also, by the time we got to the new place, they will ask you where to put your stuff so you have to give a specific instruction if you don't wanna carry it yourself afterwards. I think they spent about 6 or 7 hours? Wasn't sure. I fell asleep so I just instructed my mother to help them and pay them after. It's kinda pricey but I mean, if you don't want to do all the heavy stuff, then it's worth it. I called another moving company and this one is way cheaper than the other. read more

This is the one! These folks are local and professional. I asked for quotes from nearly all the moving specialists in our area. Ace Moving provided a fair price for services provided AND they really did not have any hidden costs. (I cannot say the same for others who quoted me prices). The entire process from securing our moving date, going over the contract with detailed explanations from Stephanie, to the actual moving day was fantastic. JD and Kenny were on time, did everything we needed and then some. As long as I'm in the East Bay I will always use Ace Moving. read more

We had a larger move over the weekend and Our Ace team was absolutely the best! They were professional, careful with all items, reliable, efficient and extremely respectful. Not only did our move get completed safely and on time, but everyone genuinely seemed to have fun working as a strong team. Would highly recommend and would go with Ace for any future moves! Just fantastic and we are so incredibly thankful to the team we had!! read more

These guys were fantastic!! The booking process was so wasy, and the office staff so helpful. They showed up on time, were very efficient and careful with my belongings, and worked very hard. Also, they moved so quickly, that my final price was about $75 under the low-end of my initial estimate. And they gave me a discount for paying cash... I highly recommend them read more

Need to move efficiently? Call Ace! JD and Ken helped my family move (we split our move into two days and specifically requested them again because of our great experience). They work really well together, which is important because they are extremely efficient, careful, and made everything so stress free (I mean as stress free as a move can be!) Thank you!! read more

I have a hard time expressing how amazing our move was, and all of the delight was due to us deciding to go with Ace Moving. Ken and JD showed up exactly on time, and took care of our furniture like it was their own. They warned us that the most difficult thing to move would be our huge fiddle leaf fig plant, and then they managed to deliver everything perfectly. They even held our furniture for us while we applied felt pads to the feet to protect our new floors, and helped us to remove the cheap plastic feet that we didn't even realize was installed. Not only were they delicate and efficient, they both were personable and delightful to be around. My only regret is that we don't have more stuff to move, because I would love to give Ace Moving my business again soon. I will definitely be recommending them to all of my friends. read more

We booked Ace Moving as they have the most competitive low price in the area and they did not disappoint. They were very professional and friendly. All our things were moved with care and nothing was damaged. I will definitely recommend them and use them again in the future. read more

These two came out and moved everything out of two different places and into a house with 4 flights of stairs. They worked hard and were very careful not to bump anything. I would recommend them to anyone! They arrived on time and got right to work. And worked non-stop until they were done! read more

We were referred to Ace Moving by a friend who hired them in the past - glowing reviews and extremely high praise! We booked via phone call, and email exchange. They initially requested we make a deposit, but in the end they took our word for it and showed up promptly on the scheduled day! Initially I was skeptical they could fit all of our stuff in one trip (one bedroom with lots of junk and a few pieces of heavy furniture + tv), but they assured me they could've fit 2 - 3x what I showed them on hand. Sure enough, Kenny and JD got to work with extreme politeness and enthusiasm. They made sure to take all of our worries into account, and ensured each piece of furniture and each box of memories was taken proper care of. The loading took 2 hours, the drive 20 minutes, and unloading took another 2 hours. The destination was a new 3 story house, yet these guys never hesitated nor complained while unloading! Pure professionalism and a pleasure to do business with. I'll be going with Kenny + JD from now on, and I sincerely suggest others do the same. read more

So my original move started in February and ended in July. I knew of ACE Moving as a classmate Ken Grant was the original owner. Placing my first call I was told that Mr. Grant was living in the Bahamas as he had recently retired. Talking with Jean he was able to meet our time frame and our move was on. Roberto arrived on time with another helper ready to get started. 6 hours later they were packed and unpacked and back on the road. 5 months later I called Jean and scheduled or second and final move some 100 miles away as we had just purchased our new home. Bright and early Roberto showed up with 2 helpers and the move was on! One and a half hours after arriving they had loaded there truck and on the road they went. Less than two hours later they arrived to do the final unload. One hour later and three what I would consider generous tips they were back on the road and headed home. All and all ACE Moving did an amazing job. Zero issues. Friendly and Professional. Also I didn't check with other movers as far as price goes because I felt they were very reasonable on the estimate. I will make sure I recommend any one for there moving needs, ACE Moving is a definite go to..... Kevin Drake read more

We are so happy we hired Ace movers. They were amazing! They helped us pack, and carefully moved all our boxes and furniture in record time. They were friendly, kind and respectful. Moving is a stressful experience, and Ace made it as smooth as possible. We couldn't have asked for a better moving team. Thank you Ace! read more

Highly recommend! I hired Ace to help me move from the East Bay (El Cerrito) to Davis. It wasn't an easy move. I'm a single mom and I had my 4 year old kid running around, and it was a blazing hot day in August -- the thermostat hit 104 degrees while they were unloading the truck. But the ACE team were always professional, cheerful and patient with me and my son. Everything was delivered safely and in one piece, including heirloom furniture and rugs. Roberto, Jalbert and Jose were the best! read more

Great moving company for my move! They all took precautions and wore masks due to the rona. They worked fast and efficiently and wrapped all my furniture with precaution. They were very careful and not careless. Their pricing was fair and close to what they gave me as an estimate (I was charged a little more since I had more stuff than expected). They also followed up with me after my move to make sure everything went smoothly and they explained more as to why I was charge more than my estimate, which made sense. I would recommend this company to anyone moving! read more

Great, clear communication from start to finish! We did a local residential move and the folks at ACE were efficient, great listeners, and took a great deal of care of our belongings. They showed up on time and delivered. I don't know how they tetris'd everything into the big truck, and I was getting nervous not everything would fit, but somehow they had JUST enough space in there for our big move! One time I wish we were informed of upfront was that we would get charged for the wrapping tape they used to secure our disassembled furniture. That came out to be an extra $60-80 on top of the total cost. Overall, I would recommend these guys. read more

This was the third time we hired movers, and it was by far our best experience with a moving company yet. It was really easy to get in touch with someone and book a virtual walk-through to get a personalized quote. Ace was very responsive and reasonably priced and transparent about the process, and for those reasons we hired Ace to pack us and move us for a local move. Our teams arrived on time both days and were professional and extremely efficient. They handled our items with great care and followed all instructions, and even finished a few hours early on both days. I would definitely hire Ace again and I would recommend them to anyone needing excellent movers. read more

This review is pretty late, we used Ace Moving to move in August. That is how impressed we are with Ace, to come back 2 months later to write a review is not the norm for me. JD and Kenny were perfectly on time, professional and very friendly. They have years of moving experience between the two of them and it showed during our move. They made the process so smooth, I couldn't have been happier with how our move went and how we felt at the end of that day. I never caught her name, but the woman I spoke with twice at the office, the woman who booked our date is also friendly and helpful. She gave us very sound advice which we used to our benefit, that is to be ready to go before JD and Kenny showed up. I believe us taking her advice was also a huge part of a successful move. We will be calling on Ace Moving when we move in the future!! read more

Roberto, Gary and Jesus helped us move recently and I would highly recommend them. They were friendly, worked very hard, communicated well, and were happy and laughing all day. They took away a lot of the stress of moving day and I have not found a single thing broken or missing. Thank you! read more

They did a fantastic job on my recent local move. Had masks on when they arrived and asked if it was ok to remove them (and keep their distance) while they did the work. Really nice and really fast. I swear each time I turned around another piece of furniture was getting loaded on the truck. And the 2 guys had no problem moving some heavy garage equipment. I hope I don't move again, but if I do, I'd definitely use them again. read more

I loved working with Ace. From the moment I contacted them for a quote, they were kind and thoughtful, and I felt like they were paying special attention to my needs. They disclosed everything upfront, so I had a very accurate sense of costs, and was able to take advantage of the cash payment discount. I appreciated them reserving it with a credit card because I knew they were holding the time for me and would show up that day. They were on time, fast, considerate, smart, and thoughtful. The entire time, I felt that they really cared that I had a good experience. They made suggestions about how to safely and easily transport things, showed me how art work and televisions would be secured in the truck, and allowed me to inspect it when we were done to make sure I had everything. They were friendly and kind, as well, and I felt at ease working with them. It was also fun to see my stuff being driven around with the big Ace card on the side of the truck. :) Thank you, Ace! read more

They were great. I've never hired movers before, so I was a little terrified that something awful was going to happen...but it didn't! They whisked everything off to my new apartment and there wasn't so much as a scratch on anything and at exactly the time they had quoted. It was in the middle of a freak heat wave, too, so they did it all in 96 degree October heat. I was sure it would end up taking longer, and was such a nice surprise that it didn't! My only disappointment was that they came in a different truck -- I got myself psyched up about that truck with the ace on the side. That's really the only improvement that I could think of. read more

Ace Movers is an AMAZING company. When calling Stephanie was super nice and helpful with all my questions. They even mailed out a packet to help make things even more clear.
