DETAILS MATTER Ive been very hesitant to write this review. My husband and I did alot of work on the house, new paint, flooring, 1.5 bathroom remodel, full kitchen remodel, new recess lightening , repiping and full electrical rewiring. Sam was a pleasure to work with ( the owner) but once it came down the the actual project we dealt with Taz who is the project manager and really didnt have contact with Sam. I am not sure if he knows whats going on with his projects once they are complete but there are several red flags and poor exeuction from his team. From face value our house looks beautiful but after finding huge several very expensive short cuts that they did, that we are now paying for later. Few things: 1) Their painters didn't complete their job on time so the floors were installed before they were finished painting and now there are paint drops all over our brand new floors. I pointed this out multiple times and it was not fixed to our satisfaction. 2) First night we moved in, electricity would go in and out of the house and all of our appliances were not working. When discussing this with Taz he claims he told us we needed a new electrical panel which was never discussed. At this point we have had several issues with their rewiring in the house and I had to hire my own electrician who had to re-wire their sloppy wiring work on some outlets, rewire things they didnt do properly in our attic and we had to pay an additional few thousand dollars to upgrade our panel. I understand needing to upgrade the panel wasnt included but it was very frustrating they didnt inform of about how big of a deal the electrical panel was and let us move into a house without working electricity. 3)They installed a vinyl gate on our driveway, it was isntalled poorly and broke within a week or so, so they had to come and fix that again with the help of my husband. 4) The grout in our updated bathroom has cracks in it, also cracks up on the ceilingm we called for the them to come fix it and after many weeks of them ignoring us they finally sent one guy who spent about 20 minutes total in there, and the grout still has cracks in it. They claim its "normal" for grout to have cracks in it. 5) A new thing that made me post this in the fist place. Its our first heat wave of the summer and I went to turn on the AC and the main part of the house wouldn't get colder than 85 degress which I thought was strange. I noticed there was no AC vents in the main area of the house ( in the before videos I could clearly see 2 A/C vents into our kitchen, living room area) which I thought was strange, so my husband went into the attic and discovered that the contracts who did the lightening in our ceiling removed the vents and instead of putting them back just left the ducts in the attic open, blowing cold air into the attic instead of putting the vents back into the main part of the house. This jsut shows pure laziness. 6) We also had a roofer guy come over to fix some shingles, and he asked if we recently had work done on the house, which I was surprised he asked because he didnt step inside. He said whoever our contractors were, they didnt seal something off properly and if it rained it would of caused severe water damage to our roof so he sealed it up for us for free bcause he felt so bad for us. 7) Lastly, today while my husband is trying to fix the AC problem, he also noticed the vent from our stove just blows directly into our attic instead of being vented outside, which is another disappointing thing we found. At this point its not about the $ but about craftsmanship, integrity and not trusting this team. I do not want them coming into the house to try to fix anything at this point and I had an unpleasant interactions with Taz throughout the entire project and am hiring people I trust to just make this house safe and efficient. So be careful, from face value our house looks beautiful, they were fast which was great, but deep down there are huge flaws. I will not be hiring this team again. read more

I have a small house built in 1960 and it showed. I wanted to remodel my kitchen and bathroom and after shopping around for quotes, ACE Kitchen & Bath were the best value for the services rendered. Other places were a bit cheaper, but wouldn't do the entire job or wouldn't take care of additional damages made during construction. (For example, they said they would install my cabinets, but wouldn't patch drywall or run electical wire for under cabinet lights, or install recessed lighting, no new windows, etc). ACE Kitchen & Bath is a fully licensed contractor so anything I requested they did without any problem. They know how to do it ALL...even the unexpected stuff (for example, once we took down the drywall, we found out my wooden studs had extensive termite damage....guess who I had to call to get that fixed....NOBODY! ACE handles it all!) Anyways, I went to the showroom in La Habra and picked out the materials I wanted. Sam designed my kitchen and bathroom and showed me a 3D model on the computer. He was very friendly, patient, and helpful. Once we signed a contract and the project started, Taz and Eddie were my project managers. Any issues I had, I would text Taz and he was ALWAYS available for me. He was my point of contact, and he's the one that coordinated with the construction workers and any other entities needed (LA County for permits, etc). Any petty issue I had, he made sure was taken care of by the end of the job, and all with a great attitude. I have been using my new kitchen and restroom for about a month now and I have no complaints whatsoever! The cabinets are high quality soft closing, the tile work is impeccable, and everything drains as it should (unlike my buddy's shower....he got a budget laborer from the home depot parking lot to build him a restroom for cheaper, he didn't hot mop, no permits or county inspections, and instead of the water going down the drain, it puddles in a corner lmao) All in all, I rate ACE Kitchen and Bath and their staff a 10/10. We needed a remodel done at our new home, and luckily my wife found Ace online. It was a whole house remodel, and we had previously met with a contractor who couldn't start for 6 months. But the team at Ace came over and discussed what we wanted done, and could start almost immediately. Within a week demo started, and our project was under way. I cannot recommend Eddie, Taz, and the Ace team enough. I was at the beginning of my third trimester of pregnancy and we wanted to redo the master bathroom to have a place to shower the baby. I am doing a kitchen, 2 bathroom, and one powder room, plus a garden window replacement "new construction" remodel, and reached out to 11 contractors and GCs for proposals and quotes. I reached out to ACE Kitchen and Bath, and got an appointment for their contractor, Eddie, who is very knowledgeable in building homes, design, materials, and everything else that goes into a remodel and bringing things to code. Eddie came out, was very personable, polite, and helped us with the measurements, and got everything he needed and made an appointment for us to go see him and his partner manager Sam at their showroom in Orange. I would have preferred not going that route, but learned that was the best way of doing this, since being on site would be most helpful in making the best decisions. Sam and Eddie were able to provide their proposal, cabinet and bathroom designs. They were also able to tell me where there were mistakes made with other GCs designs, which were true, but they still did it my way, to get me an apples to apples cost. They also only do their work with PERMITING BY THE CITY, so there is no problems, which I thought was very good. Overall, I think if you are looking to do a remodel, they should definitely be in your top 5 list, if anything top 3. They were in my top 3, and the reason I didn't go with them, was because the GC I chose was closer to me, and I was able to get custom cabinets at the price of prefab which no one else was able to do. Otherwise, I'd likely use them because of all their attributes. I recommend them for anyone looking to do a remodel and looking to get a proposal and quote for their project. Called them from an ad in a Home Magazine. Talked to Sales Person Named Eddy. He was really nice over the phone and quoted a very attractive quote. When I met with them the numbers went up accordint to them because of better materials and very pushy to sign the contract right there and then. They came to the house and took complete measurements. We were doing two bathrooms and were replacing because of water damage. After which the contract was drawn up and everything was explained and agreed to. When they started the work they began demanding more money for different changes they have to make because according to them the city changed the code. After the 3rd time this happened we made a call to the city and found out the changes to the code had been made several years ago. They were trying to trick us in to giving them more money. Which I found ridiculous. After they received their final payment they did not complete repair of the water damage. They again asked for money to complete that despite thier promise to complete the repair. I do not recommend them to anyone because of the lies and deceit that seemed almost constant. read more

Ace gets the job done right.   We wanted to remodel our bathrooms, renovate our living room, and redo our kitchen, put in brand new cabinets, remodel our flooring, the whole shebang! We opened up our kitchen and brought it into a modern aesthetic. Before it was cramped and from the 70s. We went through many consultations to find the right contractor, but we really liked the invidiual one on one attention and vision that Sam brought us along with a computer visualization of the design. Sam very easy to work with and understood what we were looking for and made sure to incorporate our needs throughout the design. They were able to remove a load bearing wall up to code with architectural plans and city permits. Sam did an amazing job of reconfiguring the cabinets layout to give us an ample amount of storage and consulted us on the best layout. We were given a wide variety of choices in materials to create just the look we wanted. He consulted us in the best designs given the space, lighting, and our lifestyle. They also helped us lay new flooring, rewire our electrical in the kitchen as well as install all our new appliances.  They really did everything! I hired them with confidence knowing that I will get quality work and they met my expectations. We did about 150K of work on our home. We shopped around but ultimately, we went with Ace Kitchen & Bath for our home remodeling needs and because of their design ideas, provided timelines, and good reputation. These all proved to be worthwhile reasons to chose them as our general contractor.   Ace took care of the engineering plans, as well as dealing with the red tape with the City which is notorious for dragging their feet. Everything was done up to code which was important to me to maintain the value of our home. Everything got taken care, even quicker than initial estimates, I was surprised considering my previous experience with other contractors.  And, they worked with us on everything as we were dealing with the start of Covid pandemic.   Even though we started the project during the various lockdowns and quarantine procedures recently, they made sure crews were working every day around the clock to get the job done.  I think we might have only had 3-4 days in the whole span of two months that no one was working at the house, and that was just because we were waiting for inspections to happen. The crews that came all did great work and they did a nice job of cleaning the site after they were done and consistently picking up trash and waste so it didn't collect in our driveway which was really nice. We dealt mainly with project manager Sam. They took care of us at every turn, and were always available/reliable, at any time of day or night.  Additionally, their in house workers were all great, friendly, and craftsmanship was great. They cleaned up after themselves took all the demoed our stuff with them. Nothing but good things.  I always thought renovations would be full of oopsies and headaches.  Such was not the case with Ace.  I thought there would have to be some snag, some issue along the way.  But, that was never an issue, everything went along smoothly. As far as cost, they did a good job of balancing our budget with our needs. The great thing about Ace is that they lay out every aspect of the project in steps, and you don't pay the full amount up front, rather you pay at specfic milestones that are very clear and easy to follow (ie. demo, framing, drywall, cabinets etc). Everything is in the contract along with the fully scope of work which made me feel pretty secure. I was able to approve the work at every step of the way and make sure it was quality work before paying. Big piece of mind! Overall, go with Ace kitchen & bath for your home remodeling needs. Isam came in took measurements and then we made an appointment to see his computer layout, no charge, and get an estimate. He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. We remodeled the Kitchen and the flooring for about 1500 sq ft of our house and it looks amazing. I was in the showroom on a Wednesday to finalize everything, there was someone that night to get started. By Sunday morning the flooring and kitchen was done except for the countertops which was done on that tuesday. No one believes me when i show them pictures of the demolition and the pictures of when it was done that it was done so quick. But more important than them being quick, it was done with very good quality. I have not found a single thing wrong with the installation of the floor and cabinets. Issam gave good input on how to design the kitchen to make much for functional then it previously was. The kitchen had a sink on the right side of the island, and the gap between the island and other cabinets was small with an oddly placed double oven. Also they had the microwave on the bottom in the island. So we moved the sink to middle of the island and moved dishwasher to the right...took out the double over and went regular oven/range with the microwave above. Pushed out the island and extended the cabinets to extend to a sliding door which made the kitchen much bigger and gave us many more additional cabinets then we had before. In the cabinets we got some ones that pull out, spice rack, lazy susan and good combo of droors and cabinets. Service and quality were excellent. We just purchased our first home and we were very nervous about doing a remodel during a pandemic. We got several quotes, some were very low and some were very high. We were certain that we wanted to have the entire project permitted so we decided to go with Ace Kitched And Bath. Not only were they getting the job done with permits but they also were very fair in their pricing. Their quote fell about 10k lees then the highest competitors but the others wanted to do the job without permits. They not only helped me with the design layout but they were also very patient with us as we changed our minds on almost everything that we had originally picked out. They were very communicative with each step and their workers were all very nice and hard working. Sam was amazing every time I had to call him with any questions or concerns, Taz worked directly with my husband and they had daily phone calls or meetings to assure my husband and him were on the right page with the work, since my husband is in construction he had several questions throughout the process. It has been 2 weeks since the finished product and e are still very pleased with the outcome. We get several compliments on how beautiful the kitchen is now. We are very happy with our kitchen remodel. We had originally signed up with another company but as soon as we met Eddie and listened to his ideas we knew immediately that we would go with Ace instead. As with most projects adjustments were needed along the way. All requests were met with immediate and positive response. Cost adjustments were very reasonable and by mutual agreement. If you are looking for "carmax-no haggle" experience and to be told multiple times that they mark up their costs 20% then this is the contractor for you! While I did not make it past the initial phone conversation and cannot speak to the actual process or quality of work, I can say this...PROS: 1. The call back to my initial inquiry was FAST. A lot faster than any other contractor I've reached out to. 2. Kudos for being transparent on your markup. Others don't usually disclose this. 3.Willingness to take on a project outside of the area they service (Orange County). CONS: 1.Be ready to give them a budget $ figure up front. There will be no design otherwise (I did give him the lower end number of our flexible budget to move forward with the conversation since Sam insisted) No other contractor I've spoken to has asked for this on the initial conversation. 2. Sam's 'bedside manner' was extremely off putting. To be told 5 times in an 8 minute conversation that he would "make 20% no matter what" didn't exactly set the best tone. 3.Beware of the math. Part of my project included tile for the downstairs of my home. Sam proceeded to "do simple math" using the entire square footage of my house to come up with a rough estimate. I was looking forward to seeing what this company could come up with for our home but it looks like we will be giving our business to someone who can provide a more refined customer experience. read more

We just redid our downstairs guest bath, and are very pleased with the final result! I had a very specific vision in mind, and Eddie, Fernando, and their team made it come together just as I had hoped. We spoke to a few contractors prior, and all the prices were pretty comparable, but most of the other contractors were booking several months out, and ACE came recommended by friends. They were able to get started ahead of schedule, and wrapped up without any unnecessary delays. We have more bathrooms to redo, and plan on using them again in the future. read more
