I took the week off to get some things done around the house, one of those was painting the hallway. I had a full can of my favorite color (Sea Salt if you were wondering) from 2021, so I took it to the store to get it shaken. Being a native, I saw someone from my childhood, and we chatted for a bit, said goodbye and exited, but I forgot something and went back in. Well, this person followed me back in the store and started again to reminisce, to the point where he was searching for more to say; it got kinda weird, but Manny was catching my non-verbal cues. I finally made my way to the register and the guy walked to the door, but he stood there playing with his phone. Manny was taking a bit to start my purchase, well he was changing search criteria to name. SW normally ask for your phone number, but Manny suspected the guy's hesitation was to hear my phone number. When the guy finally left I said, "I was praying, please don't ask for my number." Manny said he was thinking the same and that's why he asked for my name. The guy may have just been happy to see someone from the old neighborhood, we'll never know, but "Thank you, Manny, for your vigilance and protecting me." Oh, and SW paint is the best...my paint from 2021 was PERFECT after it was shaken and my hallway is as good as new! Thank you Manny and SW; a great combo!

Although they were a bit pricey, the quality and service made it feel worth it. Because of that, we hired them again to paint the exterior and interior of an investment property. Unfortunately, this time around was a major disappointment. After carefully selecting a soft, off-white color called "Casa Blanca," we were shocked to walk in and see the entire interior painted bright white--walls, ceilings, and trim. It turns out the painters misunderstood the color name as "white house" and painted everything white. A simple confirmation call or text would have avoided the mistake. To try to make it right, they offered to paint the bathroom (which I had originally planned to do myself). I placed the correct paint can by the door--yet they still painted the bathroom white. They did eventually come back to correct that error. There was also overspray left on the windows, which they did eventually come back to clean, but only after being asked several times. We chose not to have them repaint the entire interior, but it was disappointing. The lack of communication between the supervisor and the crew was obvious and frustrating. Sadly, we won't be using Showstopper Painting again. There are plenty of painters out there who charge less and communicate better. We expected the same great service as our first experience, but this second time really missed the mark.
