I ordered the Premium "This Magic Moment" Sympathy Bouquet online for my best friend who had just…read morelost her brother. The online picture showed an arrangement of all roses, which is precisely what I paid $95 plus a $20 delivery fee for. When my friend received the bouquet and sent me a photo, it looked nothing like what I had ordered. The arrangement included daisies instead of being composed entirely of roses. When I called the store to address this, Tim, the owner, immediately became defensive. Instead of listening to my concern, he dismissed it, insisting there were 12 roses in the arrangement and telling me to have the recipient count them. I explained again that what I ordered was an all-rose bouquet, not a mixed one. His response was to cite the small disclaimer on the website about substitutions. While I understand substitutions may occur, it is not acceptable to charge a premium price for a whole rose arrangement and then substitute with daisies. What I found most troubling, however, was Tim's attitude. Rather than taking responsibility or even offering to make it right, he repeatedly defended himself, referenced his 88 years in business, and ultimately told me not to use his shop again. For an owner to respond that way to customer feedback, especially in such a sensitive situation, is unprofessional and deeply disappointing. I will never use this florist again, and I strongly caution others: unless you are willing to pay a premium price for roses and end up with daisies, take your business elsewhere. The flowers were not what I ordered, and the dismissive, argumentative customer service from Tim, the owner, was even worse.

I explained to Murciry mulch that I was leveling some spots, overseeding, and areating our front lawn. They suggested their 50/50 mix which they said was sifted. Customer service and delivery was great. After spreading the soil, I noticed glass and some metal up to two inches in size. After aerating and watering I found more glass and rocks up to 2 inches in size. I read a response that their sifter is 3/4 inches. I sent Murcury mulch a message on their website and didn't get a response. If I had of read the reviews first I would have taken my money elsewhere but since I decided to support a local small business I got a lesser quality product. I take great pride in our landscaping, my time, and money. I live in Ashe Meadows in Hampton and I figured this place was a reputable small business. Our lawn is now not safe to walk on and I'm continuing to pick out glass and rocks.

Before my neighbor introduced to me The Neighborhood Harvest I was getting my greens and veggies from the local Food Lion or Krogers. It was difficult to find organic produce that wasn't already ready to go bad. The greens and veggies I get every week are SO FRESH and DELICIOUS! I typically get kale, cucumbers and a bag of the Green Machine blend which is perfect for my daily green smoothies! There hasn't been a time yet that the greens haven't been perfect, never wilted or smelly! We recently tried the fresh apple cider, it was SO GOOD! We just got a notice that they are having fresh cookies as well so we are definitely going to place an order for those as well! I especially love that I am assigned to my own Neighborhood Harvest representative who checks in with me periodically to make sure I am a happy customer. I get text messages of any particular deals they are having, last week they were having a deal on pears. I don't mind having to place my ice packs out in my cooler the night before and so far I've never had a problem with my deliveries. I definitely recommend investing your money in their fresh greens which is great for your health.

He delivered it 6 hours before the requested time on the following day. It was a lovely arrangement. I highly recommend them for your funeral needs. They were very accommodating and kind, and their work was outstanding.

This is my second delivery from Tri-City Materials, for the same kind of stone (River Rock). I…read morethought the first load was light, meaning that I didn't the full 2 yards I ordered and paid for. I mentioned this to the lady at the stone yard's ordering window, when I placed the second order. I also confirmed how many bucket scoops of each kind of bucket I could expect and took pictures of the buckets. When the driver arrived, the load looked to be 2 yards. However, when he proceeded to dump, I could tell that the load wasn't quite right, but figured I could work with it. This delivery was so filled with clay that I had to quadruple my work by loading the stone in the wheelbarrow and rinsing it several times, before placing it. I guess they made sure I got my 2 yards of material, even if the same amount of stone was the same as the first load. Overall, the ordering process was straight forward, the delivery came when they said it would, the driver was extremely courteous (he called me "Sir" a whole lot), and the cleaned stone was the proper size. I'll let you be the judge on if my assessment is accurate or inaccurate, based on the attached images. If possible, I would say you should try to be there when they are loading up, if you can swing it and coordinate it with them. My recommendation is Buyer Beware. UPDATE 14AUG2023 The is a re-post of the update I also made on my Google review. I contacted the company as requested. I said that the Load Master should have caught the heavy clay issue, especially since it would have likely required multiple buckets. I was told that the stone on rare occasions is not sufficiently cleaned before leaving the sourcing rock yard. The rep said that they also run the loader and that they agreed with me and would meet with whoever loaded mine to discuss. I got the genuine impression from the rep I talked to that this was an deviation from how they do business and somebody went off script. I received a refund for 1/2 of my order (they did this on their own with no prompting from me) ,and the process was straight forward and smooth. Based on the consideration I received and swiftness of action, I have changed my rating from 2 to 4 stars.

Luckily (in my case) I took a chance and stepped into Sunflower Florist last last Valentine's day and anniversary and got exactly what I was looking for! What's even better was that I didn't pay my life-savings for a dozen roses! Even on Valentine's day, I paid around $10 for a dozen, long-stem roses and I couldn't have been happier! Of course, like any florist shop, they have packages with stuffed animals, balloons, vases, exotic flower, etc etc, that will cost you upwards of 70-80 bucks, but if you just want some basic stuff like me, then it's your place! When I've gone in, I need to knock and have them buzz me in which I thought was a little strange (but I guess flowers are a hot commodity?) and the shop was definitely small (which might be an understatement). Also, I did see some less-than-perfect flowers around which is always a little disconcerting. However, the people that helped me were so incredibly nice and friendly and assured me that they would pick out the best flowers for me and make it look great (which they did!). Overall, I would recommend this place if you need some flowers in the Ghent area. As with any flower shop, you probably want to go pick out the flowers yourself to make sure you know what you're paying for, but it was exactly what I was looking for and I plan to go back next February 14th!

I let him know our budget of $600 for flowers and over the phone he estimated that what we wanted would likely come out to just over 1,000 with Sunflower Florist. Sunflower Florist was the first floral shop I reached out to and when I told Justin this, and he sensed my sticker shock, he told me to take some time to think on it and to reach out to other florists in the area to price compare. I was surprised that he advised the latter but really respected and appreciated his suggestion. As I researched other florists and thought more about what we wanted, Justin continued to check-in and follow up to see if we were still interested in having the shop do our wedding flowers. While, we ultimately accepted a kind offer from a coworker to arrange our flowers, we really appreciated Justin's follow-up and customer service.
