Kirkland's - Here for the grand opening of one of my favorite stores! Dec 5,2015

Great place for home furnishings! This store has a rustic/shabby chic/beach theme to it. I would suggest signing up for their e-mail or text alerts AND signing up with the K-club. You get more coupons that way, like for your birthday and such. The store in Landstown is pretty big! I would say its about the same size as the one by the beach and we have a ton of parking here. The location is great and I'm really happy they put one in this shopping center because the drive to the beach was a beast!

This is a nice new Kirkland's location in the busy Landstown Commons shopping center…read more I honestly didn't know this was here when I stopped in earlier today - I came to shop at Bed, Bath and Beyond and Michael's but when I saw there was a Kirklands I figured I'd come and look around - I'm glad I did because I found a few nice pieces in here and a few other things for Easter as well. The store is big and laid out very well with furniture and some clearance items on the right as soon as you enter and more wall decor and home decor on the left. It's scattered all throughout of course but that was the general layout. I liked how open this store was - it was easy to walk around as it's pretty wide and airy inside and there is a lot of space - it didn't feel dark and cramped at all with lots of natural light and high ceilings. A pleasant shopping experience. The employees were all very engaged and friendly - two checked me out - and two different ones asked me if I needed help while I walked around the store. I purchased some large canvas prints on sale for my wall and the fella behind the counter carried them out to my car for me when I pulled up front. Very polite and sweet. The Landstown shopping center can get crazy as hell with people coming in and out on weekends - it has two main entrances but it still backs up on the right days - the good news is once you're inside there is a ton of shopping and places to eat so you can spend a few hours - but if you're going on a weekend - just mentally prepare for war - it gets hairy out there folks!

When you walk in don't expect to be greeted. This isn't that type of store. They're normally busy and there's always a line. I've never been and there not be a line. They have shoes, purse's, backpacks, baby stuff, housewares, clothing, coffee, teas, and more. Oh how i do love Ross!! Lol. Can you tell? They had some beautiful artwork in there. I could easily decorate the house with everything in there. The clothing section used to be my favorite, but i did notice the plus size section is looking a little skimp. Maybe its a shipment issue, idk but it didn't seem like alot of choices. I was just in Burlington earlier and it appears they have a good amount of the same things Ross had... They're right next door to each other. Whenever i wanna try different types of water i always check Ross. They always have them in the front. Alkaline water, Voss, and other types. They also have Starbucks coffee sometimes, for a good price. The mens clothing section had a lot of nice clothing. It was pretty well stocked over there. They have fitting rooms and restrooms in the back. This store has something for everyone. It wasn't the most organized in there, but i kinda expect that from stores like this. Its high traffic and stuff isn't organized on alot of shelves. But that is part of the fun of looking and finding i guess. The cashier who checked me out was nice. She answered my questions and helped me find the prices on a few things. The line moved pretty quickly today so i was happy with that. I'll certainly return!!!

Looks like your typical Ross store. I did find some nice Yankee Candles, Quadratini wafer cookies, a strawberry summer dress, and a lace duster on clearance. This visit was on a Sunday and I didn't expect there to be alot of people in there but when we got to the cashier line it was pretty long, so long that they announced that if we had clothes with hangers could we please remove them off the hangers in an effort to speed up checkout. Geez. The cashier that handled us was polite, fast, and we were on our way out.

So you know how Homegoods & TJ Maxx are affiliated, right? I do love TJ Maxx, but boy do I LOVE me…read moresome Homegoods a whole lot more! When we lived in Short Pump (Richmond) for a year, and stepped into their Homegoods store for the first time, I was in heaven!!! Every possible home decor item was there, for such an amazing price. When my mom would visit, it was always on the "list of places we have to visit while in town for the weekend." And she always filled the trunk up with purchases. We always, said, "OMG, we need a stand alone Homegoods store in Va Beach, not one of these combined ones." (Va Beach Blvd. Nothing wrong with it, but this is just way better.) Fast forward to 2015...wishes do come true!!! Can you imagine my surprise and excitement when going to Target one day (Red Mill) and looking to the side and seeing a sign - "Homegoods coming soon." O M G! It pretty much made my day. Heck, even my year. This place is so bright, big, clean, and full of beautiful items to decorate your home, dorm room, apartment, or office with. This place carries furniture, carpet, wall decor, kitchen items, gift items, stationery goods (my favorite), & so much more! I'm just in love with this place. Not too many people even know this is here yet, but I'm definitely spreading the word! Come here & get all the pretty things you want for a way better price than what you'd pay at the big department stores!

How surprised I was when my GPS took me to this large shopping area for a specific restaurant. I…read morehad no idea that it existed. It's a winding, clean, up to date shopping area with a plethora of stores & eateries too numerous to list. Landstown Commons is beautifully landscaped and maintained. The restaurant I visited was in a cute area with a small one way around and back with a greenway & trees in the middle. It was very aesthetically pleasing. The selections of businesses in this area were mixed and varied, leading one to want to revisit & explore. What a change the Dam Neck, General Booth area has experienced in the almost 40 years since we were house hunting following our move from Atlanta. During that time there were almost no housing developments in the area. We looked at one under construction on the east side of General Booth. But there was absolutely no shopping centers or eateries. It felt as if we were in the country, in the midst of fields. Dam Neck & Plaza Trail had not been extended. Nimmo Parkway didn't exist. Who would want to live in an area with no amenities? But who could have envisioned what it would become. Now the area is teaming with shopping, restaurants & housing developments. After my first visit I think Landstown Commons must be the crown jewel of them all. Even though it's a long distance from my house, it will require another exploration visit. It was too near sundown on my first visit to stay. There may be similar areas. I see an exploration trip in my future.

There is a great variety of eateries and stores that satisfies my need to window shop or spend money! The center has 2 entrances - 1 on Princess Anne Rd and 1 on Dam Neck, both with stoplights. The PA entrance can be a little hairy during the lunch hour or busy weekends, but isn't too bothersome. There are always those who don't want to abide by the unspoken rules of the 3-way stop and yield to incoming traffic. There is ample parking if you don't mind not parking directly in front of the store you are going to during busy hours. Several of the stores (Carter's, Ulta, Old Navy) have curbside pick up so you may see vehicles parked on the curb. I really like that I can hit Kohl's and the aforementioned stores on foot easily as they are on opposite sides of the parking lot from each other. Best Buy is also convenient along with several other boutique stores, Phoenix Salon Suites, IT stores, you name it. Most of the eateries (aside from BWW, IHOP, Ynot and Super Ninja) are on a separate roundabout near the Dam Neck entrance. This can get a little crazy at lunch hour too, so I always recommend parking behind the restaurants for easy-in/easy-out. The center is well-maintained and always looks clean. I notice the golf cart occasionally making the morning rounds before 8am to empty bins and pick up stray trash. So long as I'm working nearby, you can find me here on the regular!
