This is a picture of the general spread of the material I received
    Richard K.

I am extremely disappointed in my recent purchase, and how my concerns were addressed after I visited the location. I purchased a dump truck load of topsoil and compost mix. I was very specific with the two Associates what I was trying to do and after unloading and spreading the product I received I think the pictures speak for themselves. The pile definitely stunk like a pig farm so I know I got compost but I have a tremendous amount of rocks and clay and not a lot of topsoil in my opinion. I visited the location this morning asking if someone would be willing to come out to my property and inspect what I received. Instead I received in my opinion what was a bunch of malarkey about topsoil that has been laying around and maybe stuff got mixed in from the truck from a previous delivery etc etc etc..... In my opinion I've attempted to resolve this with the merchant if I do not get a satisfactory response from the merchant after this review I intend on challenging the purchase with my credit card company. I had zero problems with the delivery but the attitude of indifference and what I believe I received and the over 16 hours laboring to load up the wheelbarrow and spread what is not what I expected I am not a happy consumer. Judge for yourself the pictures you see are all the material I received from them spread out and the final picture are the giant clay rocks and boulders that I took the time to set aside but they are all spread out from the mixture as you can see from the pictures. We already have a huge problem with clay in our area which is why I wanted topsoil if I wanted more clay all I had to do is dig a hole in my backyard

    Bench before walkway

I cannot say enough good things about Jack Frost Landscape Company. I was looking for a company to install a "stepping stone" pathway to a memorial bench for my husband. The bench is located in a little park at the entrance to our neighborhood. I met with one of the designers, Didem. She was so patient and understanding and listened to what I had in mind. She came to the site and gave me her expert recommendations which were spot on. I visited with Jack Frost and selected the stone. It was ordered and delivered right on schedule. The Jack Frost installation team arrived punctually and within a few hours, the pathway had been installed. It was PERFECT, exceeding my expectations! Everyone on the team was extremely professional, polite and friendly. A BIG THANK YOU to the entire Jack Frost team for making my vision come true and for creating this beautiful, peaceful environment to commemorate my husband.

The "seasoned" log on top has been sitting on there for at least 30 minutes.

Ordered a cord of "seasoned" firewood in November. Had no issues with price or delivery, however the wood is definitely not seasoned. Sap drips out the end while burning, with lots of smoke and not a lot of flames. Overall I would judge about 1/8 or less is actually properly seasoned.

We are enjoying our fires courtesy of Jack Frost!

The front of the store is primarily retail - lots of cool gift ideas, planters, seeds and, of course, established plants. The back is where the fun happens - several tables set up with everything you need to design your own terrariums. Before selecting our vessels and plants, we were given brief instructions. You don't have to worry about remembering everything because you will be able to access all of the instructions online to reference at a later date. Depending on your selection - succulents or air plants - your care instructions will vary. We were allowed to choose three air plants or two succulents to craft our terrariums. On each table were items to decorate. Pricing will depend on the vase or vessel you choose. I've done this one time previously and I thought the prices were pretty comparable and not overly expensive. I ended up selecting air plants and also took home a discounted potted plant and planter. This is such a beautiful store to browse in, even if you don't want to craft a plant-masterpiece. The staff was very helpful - even assisting with packaging our plants baby so they could travel home safely. I loved this experience and plan to return soon!

A 5 star experience for a recent Mother's Day arrangement of flowers…read more There is no day like Mother's Day and making it special for Mom. So the idea of a permanent planted arrangement seemed like something perfect for the patio. McDonald's was contacted over the phone a week + out before Mother's Day. I worked with Patrice who emailed different ideas they could do from pots to plants etc. He was so passionate about his trade and left me even more excited that he alone would be the point. Ultimately hydrangeas was chosen as the plant with sweet potatoes. They had many pots to choose from, but a more neutral with a butterfly seemed perfect. The cost was $97. Patrice assured that the plant would be watered and ready for pick up days before Mother's Day. On Saturday I went to McDonald's and after locating Patrice he rolled the plant out. I must say I was overwhelmed with the size. It was huge and gorgeous! Patrice did a video of care instructions as he took ownership of seeing everything through. He also at no charge through in a ceramic tray to hep with transport, but also for any leakage of water with a weep hole at the bottom. The delivery was marvelous and enjoyed by Mom. I cannot say enough positive about this experience. Other staff assisted me and were helpful and enthusiastic about their job. You just don't see this in other big box places ole Lowes and Home Depot. McDonald's is a one stop locally owned since 1947 garden center. They can do it all and the visit is impressive to see the selections. Highly recommend.

The plant selection is always solid, the staff actually know what they're talking about, and everything is laid out in a way that doesn't make you feel like you're in a horticulture obstacle course. Whether you're looking for houseplants, seasonal flowers, shrubs, or that one specific thing you saw on Pinterest and are now emotionally invested in, they usually have it. The real danger is the home and garden decor section. Pots, signs, random charming things you didn't know you needed, it's a trap, and I fall for it every time. Zero regrets. The summer events are genuinely fun, not cheesy or thrown together. The putt-putt is a hit every time and makes this an easy "bring the kids / bring visitors / kill an hour in a pleasant way" stop. It turns a garden center trip into an actual outing It's clean, well organized, and just... pleasant. No chaos, no weird vibes, no dying plants looking sad in the corner. It's one of those places where you can tell they actually care about what they're selling. If you're in VB and into plants even a little, this place is a no-brainer. We go out of our way to come here, and it's always worth it. Sage Kitchen is on site and is its own little slice of heaven if you're into pressed sandwiches and kettle chips but sometimes it's nice to just grab something on the go on a warm spring evening. I can't wait to go back.

The shop is brightly lit with so many plants , both tiny and large. The way each plant is displayed makes it so easy to look around without feeling overwhelmed. And Melissa's knowledge is amazing. We learned a lot our first time there. We each bought several plants that day. Well last week Judy was in town again so we headed to the Lucky Leaf. I shared some concerns I had with one of my cute little plants. I had repotted 3 of them but used a popular brand of soil for plants. Melissa knew right away what had happened to my little plant. The soil I used is very dense and doesn't allow water to disperse. It made a lot of sense. So Judy and I bought some healthy soil that Melissa mixes herself. It is light and very nutritious for plants. We also bought some of the cool gift items in the shop and more plants. I now have about 25 plants throughout my home. They bring so much joy to my boyfriend and I. We have learned to bring plants into the bathroom after a shower so they can absorb the natural humidity. I highly recommend stopping in and buying some beautiful, healthy, and affordable plants from the Lucky Leaf. Check out the other items too.

I thought it would be a simple stop on the way home from the bakery. Not so! My bad back had been especially awful with the weather this week. So I searched for a handicapped parking space on the parking aisles near the entrance. To my surprise there were none. What I had thought were handicapped spots were for customer pickup. The only reason I can envision this parking choice is for the convenience of their employees, not their customers. Down the aisles I drove until I finally found handicapped parking. They were on an aisle near the exit. I walked to the exit door and found it wouldn't open. There was a checkout clerk nearby who wasn't busy. So I knocked on the door.....several times. He finally came & let me in. I told him there needed to be handicapped spaces near the entrance door. No reply. Why couldn't they at least let the exit doors open from the outside? The sign for Customer Service was far, actually near the entrance door. After waiting in line, I was really struggling. And it was obvious. When my turn came the young woman clerk looked at my box as if it were an aberration. She turned to what was obviously her supervisor so I said "I have the scan for the return on my phone." I had it opened & ready for her to ask for the entire time I was in the line. While she was processing the return I told her that there should be handicapped parking near the entrance door. No response. Was I invisible? After I had my return receipt I had to walk back to the exit to get to my vehicle. The whole experience was a nightmare. I hope I never have to return an item to that store again. The value of my having to pay return shipping would be worth not having to experience pain & poor customer service.

I guess my issue is more about their policy, not the customer service. I purchased this Project Source filter #5638704 and it says it replaces the LT800P but it will not screw in at all. The worst part is that Lowe's will not let me return and pay the difference for the OEM LG model because I tried to install it and they can't 'resell' it. How can I know if it works if I don't try it? Why would you want to resell something that doesn't work??? They seem to care about their profit much more than customer satisfaction! I promptly found the LG version on their shelf for twice and much and paid for it, just to make sure that the issue was the product and not my fridge - it worked fine of course! I was told to contact the manufacturer. I can't really blame the manufacturer because sometimes things just don't work right. But I bought it from Lowe's, so I would expect THEM to contact the manufacturer and make sure I leave satisfied. I went to BBB and learned that they are not accredited - and I can see why! I wonder how Home Depot would have handled this situation. I guess I may find out because that is where I will be spending my money from now on!
