I'm a female disabled veteran on a fixed income and needed a tree removed. I contacted several companies and was shocked by the outrageously expensive quotes I received. Companies were quoting me $1,000 - $1,200 just to remove one tree. It wasn't a huge tree! Finally, I contacted Tarzan Tree Service. Tarzan Tree Service is a veteran owned business. And, the difference shows! Tarzan didn't make me wait for weeks just to get an initial estimate. I called to request an estimate, and they came out the very next day to assess the tree. He quoted me $400. They are certified arborists and a reputable business and they were only charging one third of my highest quote! It's a small townhouse with a small front and side yard and a small, fenced backyard. So, I asked him about the cost to prune some other trees on the property and asked his advice about whether another tree in the backyard should be removed. The owner of Tarzan Tree Service was very easy to talk to and recommended that I not remove the Japanese Maple in the backyard. He suggested that the Japanese Maple simply be reshaped by removing a few lower branches. He explained that he felt it gave the property character and would increase my property value. He also explained the growing habit of the tree and told me it wouldn't grow much further. He left the decision to me; but after listening to him, I decided to follow his advice. And, I'm glad I did. After assessing the entire property, and patiently explaining his recommendations, Tarzan Tree Service quoted me $475 to remove one tree from the front, remove a small bush that was too close to a window and the siding of the house, prune another front tree, prune and reshape the Japanese Maple in the back, and prune some neighboring tree limbs in the back that were hanging over my fence line. Tarzan quoted $475 for everything when another company quoted me $1,200 just to remove the one tree. I happily agreed! Tarzan Tree Service then came out the very next day with a crew of five military veterans and two work trucks. They quickly did all the pruning and removals, fed all the debris into their wood chipper, and quickly cleaned up all leaves. They were in and out in about 20 minutes and the property was spotless! They didn't leave a speck of sawdust or any loose leaves or branches! They operated with precision and professionalism! They were personable, knowledgeable, honest, ethical, and an absolute joy to work with. I am not receiving any kind of benefit from providing this review, and I don't personally know anyone from their company. I just want to give an honest review and recommend Tarzan Tree Service because they are an honest company. And, honest, ethical companies are hard to find. They are veteran owned and helped a fellow veteran on a fixed income without taking advantage of me like other companies tried to do. If you need tree removal or pruning, Tarzan Tree Service is by far the best. And, they deserve your business. read more

Tarzan Tree Services is a well oiled machine. They arrived at our house with a full crew of workers. Adrian walked me through the property and went over the invoice. He made a few minor suggestions to open up the tree canopy in the back yard and what a difference it made. What I thought would be a couple of hours was complete start to finish in just shy of one and a half hours. They had two teams working seamlessly, in in the back and one on the side. Chris did a great job taking down limbs on the side of the house to ensure a ten foot gap to the house. Upon completion their boss came by to check on the work and to make sure I was satisfied and that they did what they were contracted to do. He walked me through the property and inspected the work and the clean up. They did a spectacular job, they even swept the road clean of any debris! All the works were polite and efficient. One of the reasons we hired Tarzan Tree Services because his is owned and operated by military veterans. As a wife of a retire, I knew I wouldn't have to work about a job well done! I can highly recommend Tarzan. I called a tree service that I had used previously before I called Tarzan, even though the other guy had broken my driveway with his equipment. The other guy promised me he would take a look the the next day - Tuesday. On Tuesday I called with the gate code and now it would be Wednesday. On Friday, still hadn't heard anything so I called him and he acted like he had been out to look but was obviously lying. The price this other guy quoted was now outrageous, and when I told him to just forget it the price started coming down. Too late. Today, 10.18.24, the Tarzan Tree service came to take down a maple in the back yard and trim up another in the front yard. It was an education watching the work being done. I received useful information about the front tree which will help me in future. The work went quickly and the limbs came down smoothly. I will use this service another time. I used TTS to remove and trim trees and was very happy with their work. I chose them after getting 4 quotes and their price was very competitive. They also offered ideas to shape and trim, and also suggested against cutting down some of the trees I was considering. They are licensed and insured. Removed a dead limb from neighbors yard with two nesting pairs of woodpeckers, with full knowledge of birds presence. Pilated and red bellied. Pilated babies all lost, 3 red bellied babies saved by another tree service who said that Tarzan tree service was definitely aware of birds nesting. What can I say, except this company is fantastic! Had a huge limb that went way up into the neighbors tree next door taken down. They where in and out of here in less than two hours. That's including bringing in three big trucks around my circular drive way. Left without a limb, leaf, or bark chips in my yard. I was really amazed.
