I called several tree service companies to have estimates. Of the three that came out, Great Scott had the best price and was able to schedule the removal of two trees and the pruning of a large pecan within two weeks (I was out of town for Thanksgiving, or they could've come sooner). Two companies did not want to do the work because the trees were covered in ivy and in a tight spot between two houses with a fence between them - these guys didn't bat an eye. The entire crew from the top town were professional, friendly, and highly skilled. They were here and gone without a trace within two hours and cleaned up some other brush for free. My neighbors also told me afterwords that the ground guys were very nice to them and made sure their trucks weren't a bother. read more

I usually do not write reviews unless I am very satisfied with an experience but after the job that this company did my immediate reaction was that of Doc Brown....GREAT SCOTT....These guys are good. Let me explain, Heres what I needed done. one very large tree and a trunk of a crape myrtle in my front yard and a full size sycamore along with trimming trees along my deck. Along with removal of these trees, i also had the stumps ground down. To add to that labor They worked in close proximity to other homes and really took into consideration how the tree cutting would impact my neighbors. Now i know what you're think. Sounds exhausting, I need a nap after just reading this. But i was left stumped with awe and admiration after they were done. First, My neighbors felt that they were fabulous and very supportive. Despite the daunting job, they remained professional and friendly the entire time. To provide a frame of reference they were so mindful of my yard that i have done work on and even were willing to help me move plants out of the way. Secondly, the guys did a spectacular job with cleanup. Just think of a heart surgeon with a phenomenal team of PAs and nurses to assist and make it look as if nothing ever happened. They were thorough and careful and did a great job removing several trees in tight quarters, avoiding any damage to the garage or fence which were less than two feet away. They started chainsaw work at 7 in the morning on a weekday. Multiple massive trucks clogged my small street barely allowing traffic to pass. Ignorant rude workers blocked my trashcans at 8 in the morning on trash day and made my trash collector miss both mine and my neighbors recycling cans. Both homeowners are elderly sick and disabled. My dad was too nice too call for himself but after speaking with the office she offered no solution only a call back (we all know what that means). read more

It was definitely a good investment for us to go with Scott's team. They didn't lowball us with a caveat that the price "may" increase later; they told us up front what we could expect, and then they honored it. We were also impressed that they provided their company insurance coverage before the job. They removed three trees for us and trimmed back several others. They even went out of their way to remove a poison ivy patch. A bird nest was hiding in one tree they removed. When they saw some baby birds struggling on the ground, they stopped working to gingerly put them in the shade. That's the kind of conscientious people they are. Very professional and high quality work, couldn't be happier with this company. We shopped around and received 5 quotes from services in the area and Great Scott matched the best one. Very prompt; were able to fit us in same weekend to remove 6 trees and multiple stumps. They also chased down some shallow roots in our yard and ground them up AND pulled out some old bushed and fencing whiel they were there. Full crew showed up and got down to business. When they were done they hauled away all debris and cleaned up the work area before they left. One of the trees they took down was overhanging our garage and we don't have so much as a dented shingle from anything falling. Very happy with Scott and his team. We bought a home in the fall of 2013 with 2 *huge* sycamore trees. Great Scott Tree Service did a great job at a fair price. We had a huge willow oak pruned and thinned as we do about every 5-6 years, and we also had our side yard trees cut away from the house. We got a quote and they started the second business day. They climbed the trees with no spikes and did a great job. When I came home from work every thing was cleaned up and even our extra storm debris was gone, but everything was not complete. I was concerned, but the owner and his crew were back early the next morning (in the rain) to finish the job, and clean everything up again.
