I came to pick up some nut and bolts for a leaking pipe that my crew had to fix on a nearby project site. I did manage to find it and the employees for the most part were nice and helpful. For the MOST part. I went to check out my items with my company card and when there were two black women that were on standby that assisted me. They were short and chatty and one of them was light skin (didn't get the names). One of them made a rude remark about my deep voice and thought it was funny. The other one wanted to play games when I asked them if I could use the job name to bypass the pin on the card. They did solve the problem but insulting me and playing with me in that environment was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. I will not be coming here again. read more

Spent extra $350 to get an oven with the air fry feature. After spending additional money to get air fry cookware, we found out you must have Wi-Fi inorder to use air fry feature. So we ordered a mulch delivery from them. They confirmed the order 3 times, and gave us a delivery window the night before. We waited throughout the delivery order....that passed. The time got pushed back to 8pm so we still waited...At 8pm it said it was delayed. I tried reaching the store and they wont answer their phone. They SHOULD have known before after the order was due IF they didn't have mulch and should have given me the respect of a phone call or notification so I didn't waste my whole day waiting for them and them spend the rest of the week trying to hunt them down since no one answers the phone. Does no one care at this store or what? They removed the home office contact from the website so I assume they must perform so badly that top management doesn't even want to know about it any more. ABSOLUTELY do NOT get Lowes to do any roofing projects. I've had a roof for 3 years and 3 months. It is leaking majorly and has been for an unknown amount of time. Lowes refuses to fix the roof. Had an actual professional come out. They told me it was directly related to poor installation. I also talked to a contracted roofing company with Lowes in Northern Va. He confirmed the third party Lowes used in Hampton Roads was a poor company and was dropped by Lowes. He also informed me he has had to go back and fix several homes in Hampton Roads area because of the third party company Lowes used. They refused to make the issue correct. Although we love the little cottage shed itself- delivery coordination provided by Lowes was a total disaster. Lowe' eagerly took our 5k and then after a few weeks delay, we called Lowes asking for an estimated delivery date. They gave a phone number and told us, they had "no idea" and that we should call the number they provided. After several left messages over the course of a week, we received a text apologizing for the delay but with no known ETA. Finally received a shipping date (delivery by EOD notation) and we hired and arranged to have guys at our home as required to help offload the delivery. at noon on the date of the anticipated delivery we got a call from FedEx that they were calling to schedule delivery the NEXT day. What a clusterf**k. Please provide customers with better instructions of how/when deliveries are made. read more

Service by Sales Associate Brian Smith was really good. He was very helpful with my selections for a dishwasher and stove. Brian seemed to be very knowledgeable of the products in the department giving me insight to evaluate what I decided to purchase. I cannot rate the performance of the dishwasher at this time because I have not received the installation service but I was told that it may take a while due to the installers being backed up in scheduling service however, the stove is what I needed the most and that arrived on time and the delivery guys were efficient and personable. read more

Usually, I'm terrified to set foot in a Lowe's on my own. I don't know if it's because of its reputation of being a man cave, or the endless rows of "things" I don't know if I actually need (or mostly, what they even are!?) But - no more!! My visit at customer service the other day with two female employees had me in fits of laughter and made me feel like I could conquer this beast alone. "Girl, you gotta download the app. It will empower you up in here!" She was right. The app makes it super easy; before I even set foot and get lost in Lowe's - I'm shown where I can find my item and what aisle it's in. YES! That's a win. I bought some plants and piping, along with a few other things - and I have to admit, I actually enjoyed my experience for once (who am I, what's wrong with me!? What have I become!?) The store is really well laid out (now that I know where I'm going,) employees are very helpful and if they don't know the answer they're quite good at getting someone else to help, there's a good selection of items, and I appreciate the military discount and my Lowe's member discount. I haven't heard anything so I called in on the 10th day and a lady named Tiffany answered the phone and asked me to hold for a second I said okay and proceeded to wait 15 minutes on hold and then they just hung up on me. My wife and I spent approximately $5,000 on a brand new hard wood floor. We worked with this Lowe's location by to arrange the installation. The installers came and left multiple bubbles underneath and broke the handle on our oven during set-up and moving the kitchen appliance. We contacted Lowe's and the second time they came and redid it and it looks even worse. I contacted the corporate office, the local store and been given the run around on this for the past 3 months. Lowes Improvement needs to improve their customer service and communication in the process order across departments. I just hopefully reached the end of a long and Dreadful journey with Lowes only to hear I'd get a Damaged stove with a 290 discount and hopefully another 105 dollars after they investigate who took the 105 dollars additional I paid but could not be refunded. This is after waiting almost FIVE months for a stove they told me would be to me in 5-7 business days. That apparently wasn't in stock and they had no information on when it would be in stock. I went through the holidays with no stove while they held my money with no update months later on when I would get my stove. I basically had to do the work for them. No one took the accountability to handle the mess up, they never followed up or even answered the phone. I had to take days off from work, not feed my kids till feed my kids an adequate on time dinner due the amount of hours I'm had to come up to the store and I sat amongst a line of people with similar issues with the Hampton appliance department. Finally I was left in tears for all my work, money time and energy wasted to get a busted up stove that I had to purchase a warranty to get fixed and a 23 percent discount. When I expressed my concerns to the supervisor he very sarcastically said how much do you think you're supposed to get off at that point I wanted to cancel the entire order. WHY SHOULD I BE TREATED THIS. WAY! I'm not the one who put an order in for a stove that wasn't in stove with broken promises to wait to only get a damaged stove! I WILL NEVER BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM LOWES. I WILL ALWAYS LET PEOPLE KNOW THE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE OF BUYING APPLIANCES AT LOWES. I'm so disappointed. I'm just in tears. Be careful with rebates. I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer from Lowe's with a rebate attached. At the time that I received the $50 rebate check, I was going through an illness, and I misfiled the check. Later, after the stale date on the check had passed, I found the check and called Lowe's / Maytag to ask that it be reissued. They refused, citing that the rebate period had passed. The one-star review is not because Lowe's / Maytag didn't issue the original rebate check, the one star is for: 1. How long it took to even talk to a live person when trying to resolve the matter with the check. 2. How poorly they treated a long time customer, and 3. The rigidity of the rebate rules. Bottom line: be careful with rebates from Lowe's / Maytag. I hope this is helpful to potential customers of Lowe's / Maytag. Good luck. read more

Rating-I wish there were negative numbers as Lowes does not even rate with one star. Again the drama and excuses continue with Lowes. Lowes was supposed to pick up my incorrectly measured front door on Saturday that I have been waiting on getting installed since October 2020. Once again, I had to go in person down to the store since no one seems to answer phones. I asked directly to speak with a manager and Jay came to help me. Upon looking up my information in the computer, come to find out, Lowes personnel (the last manager I dealt with-Vince) had not even entered my door pick-up information into the system to arrage for pick-up. My door pick-up was not even on the docket. Jay says he arraged pick-up for Monday, thus again, dealying any hopes on getting a timely refund for this disaster. Jay, the manager, even went so far to say that my husband had made a rude phone call on Saturday when, of course, things fell thru. At this point I had to interject my feelings with pretty much everyone at this Lowes with the multiple trips to the store, phone calls, excuses, lies I have been told, and the extremely poor to nonexistant customer service. I told him that customer service begins at the store and if anyone was rude, it has been the personnel at this store and they needed to speak with all employees at this Lowes because Customer Service at this store does not exist to include management. At this point, I went home and made arrangements to hire a truck myself to assure this door gets back to Lowes just so I can get my money back . This store is completely unable to perform the normal functions of a home improvement store. We have been trying to get a stove delivered for over a month. Their phones don't work. They don't know where their inventory is. They have scheduled deliveries that didn't happen. Their manager got involved and it still isn't solved. Worst part is they won't even fix the phones, which have been broken for over a month. (If you want to talk to anyone, call Cabinets and ask them to get an associate from the area you need.) I don't usually come into Lowe's, but needed something for my wedding. My fiancé and I are building a DIY photo booth, so we needed PVC pipes. The customer service at this Lowe's is lacking. The staff on the floor are not very helpful. I asked a staff member if she could cut two of our PVC pipes to match our photo booth (we needed one pipe cut into 4 sections), so we could fit it in our car. The employee stated "I can only cut it in half. That's it." My fiancé and I ended up just sticking the pipes out of our car window in order to make it fit. They do offer military discount, so make sure to ask about this at the cash register. My fiancé and I will not be back to this location. We were very disappointed in the service. read more

No one answered the phone & the customer service number provided in the order confirmation email was simply a recording that referred you to call the store, then disconnected. I have to say I am less than impressed with this Lowes Home Improvement store on my 2 recent visits. Both times I have asked for assistance in finding a few pieces for my personal PVC pipe project without any actual assistance provided. The first experience was me asking if the associate could help cut the 10 foot pipes into a certain length (only 2 different cuts) and she said they only cut in half and "cannot do any other cuts", which made no sense to me. Not really great on the customer service scale there. The 2nd time I was just pointed in a direction when asking for help to find a specific pipe extension piece. I could not find it previously in that direction, that is why I asked for specifics. Very disappointed overall with this locations customer service. Here are instructions, an actual screw, etc. After much dithering, guy disappears to check computer. Huzzah!, I think. Progress! Then he suggests I try this website that sells replacement IKEA hardware. Right, I say, not wanting to go into detail about how I've already checked it, they don't have the part, and I don't want to order it, hence me being at the hardware store to buy it. "Righto", I repeat. "What is the website, again?" "Um, something something IKEA parts", the guy says. Ok. Second time, I find the closest substitute in the metric section. Spend a ridiculous amount of time. At the last minute, an older employee admonishes me that no no no, the ikea parts aren't metric (they are), so you need these wood screws. Here ya go. Get home. I would give 0 stars if I could. I ordered a washer and dryer and had a total of 4 full days of lies and my time waisted. I was told I was receiving my items on a Sunday but then the morning of received a call stating that my washer was damaged and I would instead receive it the next day which is fine but that was not true. I was told I was scheduled to get my items every day for the next 3 days which was a lie and they never actually rescheduled it even after talking to assistant manager. (The web site is almost the worst I have dealt with). The item did not show up so I attempted to call the store to see if they had gotten the order. Whelp, I have to tell it like it is. Rather good or bad I have to be honest with my experience at businesses around the globe because lets face it, that's why we are YELPERS! I visit this location of Lowe's Home Improvement all the time and I love shopping here. They always have a variety of of products, bright store and reasonable prices. There are things I do not suggest you do or not do when shopping at Lowe's. 1. DON'T take advantage of their hired contractors. The contractors I have discovered do not abide by Lowe's guarantee. In other words, Lowe's put a warranty on the product but not by the repairs or installation that the contractors do. Lowe's does not want to pay the contractors to repair under warranty. So I suggest hiring your own contractor with a warranty of his work rather than using Lowe's hired contractors. So don't sign any contracts with Lowe's for a contractor. 2. Choose carefully when you shop at Lowe's. Don't go on weekends during the beginning of changing seasons. As a matter of fact, I go to shop for winter items at the end of winter and summer items at the end of summer when they are generally on sale. Customer service is bad on the weekends and I can't say much during the week. They are just too busy and don't have enough employees to help you. Which brings me to this post. Yesterdays visit I was shopping for carpet padding. When I ask for help from an employee in the carpet department he told me that he was too busy and could not even help me. This resulted in me getting the wrong item, causing my hired contractor to get into a heated argument with the check-out clerk and the job I was intending to do not getting done. It was horrible. We asked to speak with a manager but that was like waiting on paint to dry, we never talked to him/her because they never showed up. Cancelling the project I walked out of the store and decided to try his project another day. Buying supplies from Lowe's is a good idea for they have a large selection, just make sure you know what you want, do your research prior to arriving at the store because getting help who specializing in that particular are can be a challenge. HIRE YOUR OWN CONTRACTOR, DO NOT USE LOWE'S! Trust me you will get a better deal by doing this and you may even want to let the contractor get the products for you cause they get a contractors deal. Lastly. watch YouTube and do it yourself. A $2569.00 project via a contractor was considerably reduced to about $300.00 when I did it myself. Whelp, that's it!
