Orange is one of my favorite colors; the orange couch complemented all of the greenery in the light filled environment. The customer service was wonderful, and she offered such knowledgeable information about the plants and other items without being pushy or uninterested. Just perfect. She showed me the behavior of the roots of the rabbit foot fern, and why it is named such, as well as the behavior of the leaves of the prayer plant. I also learned from her that some of the plants are in pots hand crafted by a creator in Charlottesville. There were several plants on the #757deal. I initially wanted the ripple red peperomia, then gravitated toward a spider plant, and finally chose a little fern. I was captivated by a curling Dracenea "twister." I'd never seen a curling one before, and neither had my mom, who is a plant expert. Mom loved it, and so do I. Mom noticed the rabbit's foot roots in the fern immediately. She also said ferns are hard to keep alive. Sigh. Maybe I should have chosen the peperomia, but so far so good as of 12/20. I'll be back.

I started walking around taking a look at what was all at the store. I loved the area to sit. I feel like I could use that area to pick out pots for my new green babies. I was helped locating the plants for the 757 deals. I opted for the 4 inch fern for $7.57. I of course need to give her a home. She went perfectly in the white pot with what I call air bubbles on it. It was perfect! Pricing was great, and reasonable! Not only was there plants, there was candles, pots, spray bottles, pins, stickers and so much more. The markets normally open March-mid July. The flowers always look amazing. The prices can be high, but I do not mind paying a little more for well cared for plants and flowers. They always have different sales every week. The staff is knowledgeable and if they do not have an answer they will get one for you even if it is Google or and app. Either way they are always helpful. Last year I stopped by and bought 6 hibiscus plants. They have come back up and they are thriving!! I plan to buy more once we buy a house.

While at the festival, they had a bounce house for the kiddos- it was a big hit, only downfall was the slide area the kids were literally landing on hard asphalt on their behinds, when I brought it up to the young man he tried his hardest to resolve the problem, they brought little quilts, once again sadly it didn't help the problem. I watched three other kids land hard on their behinds, and the last one a little boy landed and knocked the wind out of himself. After that my friend and I went up to whom I'd assume was the event runner (young lady in blue) and she seemed worried and said she'd try to find something else, there was another gal next to her, when the young gentleman asked if he should close down the house (which he should have kids were getting hurt) she replied "no keep it up, we did all we could" and walked away. I'm appalled that she did not care whatsoever that children were getting hurt. Taking the house down would have not interrupted the event whatsoever but she thought jeopardizing children's well being was fine. Absolutely unprofessional.

Every Tuesday is senior Tuesday so they get 10% off. Their flowers and vegetables are always so green and healthy looking. Prices can be a little much but it's hard work keep in the babies alive I assume. They always have sales every week there's something different that's on sale. They have multiple locations throughout the Hampton Roads area and Virginia Beach and Norfolk and Williamsburg. I went to them last year the shop in Poquoson, and found out that they usually close mid July and that's where everything is marked to 50% off so I walked away with a beautiful hibiscus that came up this year so I had to return for more plants. The pop-up shops in parking lots are open March to mid July so plan accordingly. I've also been to the big store in Virginia Beach and it is overwhelming but in a good way I recommend hitting that shop up.
