Orange is one of my favorite colors; the orange couch complemented all of the greenery in the light filled environment. The customer service was wonderful, and she offered such knowledgeable information about the plants and other items without being pushy or uninterested. Just perfect. She showed me the behavior of the roots of the rabbit foot fern, and why it is named such, as well as the behavior of the leaves of the prayer plant. I also learned from her that some of the plants are in pots hand crafted by a creator in Charlottesville. There were several plants on the #757deal. I initially wanted the ripple red peperomia, then gravitated toward a spider plant, and finally chose a little fern. I was captivated by a curling Dracenea "twister." I'd never seen a curling one before, and neither had my mom, who is a plant expert. Mom loved it, and so do I. Mom noticed the rabbit's foot roots in the fern immediately. She also said ferns are hard to keep alive. Sigh. Maybe I should have chosen the peperomia, but so far so good as of 12/20. I'll be back.

I was helped locating the plants for the 757 deals. I opted for the 4 inch fern for $7.57. I of course need to give her a home. She went perfectly in the white pot with what I call air bubbles on it. It was perfect! Pricing was great, and reasonable! Not only was there plants, there was candles, pots, spray bottles, pins, stickers and so much more. I recently went to southern states to pick up some vegetables for my godmother. My only problem really is that I have a product that I cannot use. And will not use, but if losing a customer over $4 is your way of doing business. I'm sorry for you but I will not ever ever patronized at this store. I know that I made the mistake but not being able to correct. It doesn't make sense to me mind you. There are several signs in the store that says discounted items or marked down items are not refundable. But there's nothing in the store. Nor on my receipt that says that my item cannot be returned.

The shop is brightly lit with so many plants , both tiny and large. The way each plant is displayed makes it so easy to look around without feeling overwhelmed. And Melissa's knowledge is amazing. We learned a lot our first time there. We each bought several plants that day. Well last week Judy was in town again so we headed to the Lucky Leaf. I shared some concerns I had with one of my cute little plants. I had repotted 3 of them but used a popular brand of soil for plants. Melissa knew right away what had happened to my little plant. The soil I used is very dense and doesn't allow water to disperse. It made a lot of sense. So Judy and I bought some healthy soil that Melissa mixes herself. It is light and very nutritious for plants. We also bought some of the cool gift items in the shop and more plants. I now have about 25 plants throughout my home. They bring so much joy to my boyfriend and I. We have learned to bring plants into the bathroom after a shower so they can absorb the natural humidity. The vocal boosters at the Salem High School VPAA agreed to try a poinsettia sale fundraiser in conjunction with the winter holiday concert. Carol in the office was wonderful and easy to work with. I had never been in charge of the ordering before, and she helped me out a lot with the details. I picked the order up myself to save the delivery cost, and the staff at the greenhouse was super nice, and loaded everything into my vehicle for me. The poinsettias looked beautiful on our stage in front of the singers, everyone was impressed with the high quality and size of the plants. It's amazing what you get for your money. Everything was lovely, and we're planning on ordering again next year!

I found the fall festival to be really cute and great for photo ops. I really enjoyed each of the different sections of the farm. Decided to get on the monster truck before leaving (9/10); it was my first time riding in/on one and it was pretty fun. To ride was $10 per person. All of the staff members were friendly and made light conversation. I can def see myself returning especially since they also have a Christmas tree farm and a restaurant on site.
