I took the week off to get some things done around the house, one of those was painting the hallway. I had a full can of my favorite color (Sea Salt if you were wondering) from 2021, so I took it to the store to get it shaken. Being a native, I saw someone from my childhood, and we chatted for a bit, said goodbye and exited, but I forgot something and went back in. Well, this person followed me back in the store and started again to reminisce, to the point where he was searching for more to say; it got kinda weird, but Manny was catching my non-verbal cues. I finally made my way to the register and the guy walked to the door, but he stood there playing with his phone. Manny was taking a bit to start my purchase, well he was changing search criteria to name. SW normally ask for your phone number, but Manny suspected the guy's hesitation was to hear my phone number. When the guy finally left I said, "I was praying, please don't ask for my number." Manny said he was thinking the same and that's why he asked for my name. The guy may have just been happy to see someone from the old neighborhood, we'll never know, but "Thank you, Manny, for your vigilance and protecting me." Oh, and SW paint is the best...my paint from 2021 was PERFECT after it was shaken and my hallway is as good as new! Thank you Manny and SW; a great combo!

I visited recently literally 4 minutes before the store closed and was not rushed through my purchase. Not only that, they grabbed all my items and brought them out to my car and placed them into my trunk for me. Now if that's not amazing service, then I don't know what to tell you. I am never disappointed when I visit. There are many times I have needed to paint match (they are experts at this) and they have been spot on. But on day one, while I was looking over the saws and doing my research in the store, at least half a dozen associates came over to check on me and make sure I was doing OK. I've been in many other larger hardware stores and the staff never approaches you, not even one time. But both days at this hardware store, the staff was incredibly helpful. On the second day, when I made the purchase, the associate named Aaron provided tremendous assistance. He was incredibly knowledgeable and did an amazing job walking me through the product features, registration of the saw, and he gave me so many helpful tips. He informed on the aspects of the operation of chainsaws in general that I wasn't even aware of, after more than a decade of owning and using chainsaws. I couldn't see how a hardware store could possibly have a better qualified staff member. It is truly refreshing to see someone so competent and passionate about their work. We've used Showstopper Painting twice--with very different experiences…read more The first time was great. They painted our rental property efficiently and professionally. Although they were a bit pricey, the quality and service made it feel worth it. Because of that, we hired them again to paint the exterior and interior of an investment property. Unfortunately, this time around was a major disappointment. After carefully selecting a soft, off-white color called "Casa Blanca," we were shocked to walk in and see the entire interior painted bright white--walls, ceilings, and trim. It turns out the painters misunderstood the color name as "white house" and painted everything white. A simple confirmation call or text would have avoided the mistake. To try to make it right, they offered to paint the bathroom (which I had originally planned to do myself). I placed the correct paint can by the door--yet they still painted the bathroom white. They did eventually come back to correct that error. There was also overspray left on the windows, which they did eventually come back to clean, but only after being asked several times. We chose not to have them repaint the entire interior, but it was disappointing. The lack of communication between the supervisor and the crew was obvious and frustrating. Sadly, we won't be using Showstopper Painting again. There are plenty of painters out there who charge less and communicate better. We expected the same great service as our first experience, but this second time really missed the mark.

I was helped locating the plants for the 757 deals. I opted for the 4 inch fern for $7.57. I of course need to give her a home. She went perfectly in the white pot with what I call air bubbles on it. It was perfect! Pricing was great, and reasonable! Not only was there plants, there was candles, pots, spray bottles, pins, stickers and so much more. The ambience of the store is also very appealing. It's very well-lit, open, and welcoming, with a small seating area to the side. The staff are so nice and friendly. They are also very knowledgeable about each plant and give specific instructions on how to water and how much sunlight the plant should or should not receive. All of the plants in the store are thriving and look very healthy. I am a gifter of plants and I do too frequent here as an option for future gifts. They are a little pricier than other shops, but my plant life at home has proven so far that you get what you pay for. 5 STARS! Beautiful plants and great staff.
