I've been going to this Ace for 20 years. Have spent a lot of money there doing ms y renovations. I…read morewas always helped beautiful. But what has happened to this place ? I've had to complain to management both of the last two times I've been there. Just now I asked for help getting a furnace filter off an unreachable shelf. The employee I found d to help me lectured me on ho I should have gotten it myself with the grab stick that was leaning in the aisle. I am a 68 year old woman with injuries. I shouldn't have to lose a grab stick at Ace with a bunch of male employees hanging around the aisles. When I complained to the manager he took no responsibility and said that other manager with the grab stick just fine. Well they are 25 year old male handymen working for other people I said. He didn't seem to get it. Well good thing I don't fall backward getting my own furnace filter or Ace would have a big lawsuit on their hands. Is local Ojai going the way of big box stores in big cities?

The city of Santa Paula is beyond lucky to have a hardware store!…read more I think the outside of the store is misleading as it may seem a very small store. But, it's actually quite large inside! I come in here often; have had keys made, bought some yard signs and locks that were needed. And, huge huge shout out to one of their employees a few months ago. Wish I had gotten his name! I came in as my keyfob remote had crapped out. There was a young man who went over and above to try to help me figure out the issue! He came outside to my car with me, had some technical electrical thing that he used to try to help determine if my car was "reading" the fob or not. We even checked a new battery just in case. Come to find out, it didn't need a new battery: my keyfob no longer works in my 15 year old car. :( But big thanks to the employee who helped me *finally determine it was not a battery issue. Staff is pretty good which is so nice to experience. Of course, during the covid, they all have masks on. I didn't notice if they offered sanitizer at the front door, but they do have a "one way door IN and another door OUT", which is per usual at most businesses now it seems. I just recently found out that they carry Ginger Chews. Who would have known!? I would recommend this Ace Hardware and I know that Santa Paula could sure use the support, too.

Do you need electronics components, such as transistors, resistors, circuit boards, connectors etc?…read morePrototypes, hobbyists and DIY folks will all find reasons to head to Electronics Expiditers. They are hard-ish to find, they are in the industrial area in the west end of Camarillo. and you need to call ahead if you have specific parts that you need-because during Covid they closed off their warehouse, so you have to order by items now instead of browsing the aisles. But they are super nice & easy to work with. :)

They don't stock much of anything relating to ICs or transistors, but you'll find a selection of chassis, and hardware items to build up your prototypes. T One downside is that since they have so few walk-in customers, you can't get in to the parts area without waiting for one of the phone support people to break free and walk you over to the parts area. Another down side is that much of their shelf stock is very old. Spray cans of solvent may be half-empty from can leaks, and electrolytic aren't necessary going to be fresh. But with components like fans, relays, transformers, resistors, etc. that won't matter. They also carry hand tools, tool cases, heat-shrink, solder, connectors, adapters, plugs... just a lot of other stuff to create and repair electronic projects. Their pricing is not particularly cheap. The people working there (mostly in cubicles doing phone orders) are very nice.
